Aptos - Overview
Aptos, a retail servicing software that provides powerful omni-channel solutions, wanted a video to showcase the advantages they offer to retailers around the world. At the same time, they wanted to explain everything in an accessible way with an accessibly positive tone— and that’s where our animation team came in! We took the timeless retail symbol of the gift box to a whole new level, using it as our canvas to show off Aptos’s goals, features, and incredible software capabilities.

Shine Different
TWA, a long-time recurring client, is an advertising agency that wanted us to produce their creative concept for a campaign called “Shine Different.” The video—designed to feature their client’s products in a long-form branded content format — features several real-life inspiring women on varied life paths. The women inspire a young protagonist to reach for more in her personal life story.

Brand Launch Video
Payrix, a specialized payment solution designed for SaaS companies, wanted a brand teaser and explainer video for their fresh website launch. They requested high-energy, engaging, colorful animated pieces that would encourage new partnerships—so our animation team got to work creating a pair of exciting videos full of clever visual metaphors and nods to the new brand.

Holiday Inn - Brand Experience Training Trailer
Holiday Inn—a global hotel brand known for its comfortable interiors and warm service—engaged us to spearhead a new, interactive, video-based employee training program. Each video emphasized an important service takeaway via storytelling and instruction.

Chaos to Calm
Pike Nurseries is a chain of plant nurseries that serves the southern U.S., and they came to us for a video to show employees at their annual company meeting. They wanted to remind team members of the hectic lives their customers lead with work, kids, bills, traffic, COVID, and more—and that when customers step into a Pike nursery, they enter a place of peace and tranquility. Our team edited a video filled with peaceful, golden-hour footage of a Pike nursery to show employees that the customer experience they provide plays a critical role in delivering this escape.

The Making of a Pan
Making the highest quality cookware isn’t easy. Neither is producing the highest quality video production. That’s why Calphalon turned to the best video production company, The DVI Group, to help show off the story behind every pan.

Delta Air Lines: Take Command Intro
When pilots achieve captain status, they get a tailored training experience devoted to leadership excellence and the honor of becoming a captain—called “Take Command.” Our task was to create a suite of videos designed to complement and enhance the in-person Take Command course. And we knew this course needed incredible polish and technical accuracy: it would be taken by some of the most experienced commercial pilots in the world.

Kimoto Vision
Kimoto Tech is an industry leader in the research, development, and application of functional surface coatings and adhesives. Their campus consists of more than 360 acres with a 110,000 square foot manufacturing and corporate office facility. Kimoto wanted to communicate their story and vision for the future to multiple audiences. The final video was translated and subtitled in various languages for a global audience.

Doosan Infracore N - Keith Radford Testimonial
Doosan Infracore North America makes heavy machinery used in construction, earthwork, and other material handling jobs, while their extensive network of dealers handles machine delivery and servicing for customers. We’re making Doosan an ongoing series of contractor testimonials, using video to showcase their customers’ satisfaction with the machines and their dealers’ commitment to timely customer service.
The Doosan customer in this video made a large order of excavators and articulated dump trucks, so we headed out in the rain to film the caravan of huge machines making its way to his location. We used authentic interviews from the customer, sales representatives, and dealer—along with attention-grabbing graphics—to emphasize the raw power of Doosan’s 30-ton trucks.

iGrow
As Delta Air Lines geared up to release a new and improved training portal for employees—called “iGrow”—project leaders knew it was important to inform employees about the portal’s many possibilities and perks. We stepped in to provide a growth-themed video that includes interviews from Delta managers, positive feedback from Delta employees, and helpful graphics from our team.

IHG - Leadership Training
InterContinental Hotel Group, a worldwide hospitality giant encompassing several beloved hotel brands, asked The DVI Group to create a custom leadership training program for its managerial staff around the world. One of IHG’s key leadership behaviors is the ability to confidently model great service for other employees. Our instructional designers designed a training series. For one part of the training our animation team created the fun, timely story of a mother bird and her chicks to illustrate the confident leadership IHG expects from its team.

M1 Promotional Video
Kodak Alaris released a new photo printing machine with a sleek, modern design, and they wanted to show grocers across the country exactly how convenient it’d be to place those machines in grocery stores. They asked us to create an inviting promo video, and we answered the call—with clean graphics, casual conversations with talent, and on-screen statistics that proved even young adults in the digital age still love a classic printed photo.

Doosan Telematics
Doosan Infracore needed a video to excite dealers and potential buyers about the telematics systems inside their construction equipment. The innovative technology allows for detailed fleet tracking and management, but as a piece of technology is visually hard to show. The 3D team rose to the challenge by creating dynamic animated sequences, that demonstrated the value behind each technological point of interest. Add a cinematic soundtrack, and an informative voice-over and Doosan had an exciting custom video to wow their target audience.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of marketing at Griffco Design/Build, a construction firm with in-house designers focused on designing and building cold-storage buildings, food distribution facilities, automated distribution facilities, self-storage units, and movie studios.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
Safety is our number one priority in all of our job sites, so we needed to streamline our safety training program. We used an outdated training video for our program; it was from the 90’s and 20–30 minutes long. Thus, we needed to refresh it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The DVI Group helped us refresh our training video to streamline our program. We created a script, which we provided them with, along with some descriptions of how we wanted the shot to look. From there, they helped us do the rest: film, produce, and post-produce the video, which ultimately was 11 minutes long.
We used our sites as locations to film the video, but The DVI Group was in charge of the creative direction. During production, they went above and beyond to film a quality video, using drones and Steadicam equipment.
The DVI Group even brought voiceover talent for the video, and they provided us with localization services. A lot of our subcontractors speak Spanish, so they had our employees read the script and helped us localize with Spanish subtitles.
What is the team composition?
We worked with various people from The DVI Group, including Kevin (VP of Sales & Business Development), who was our first point of contact, Erin (Producer), and Stuart (Creative Director), who was in charge of all the moving parts during production. Additionally, we worked with a lot of people from their production crew, including various videographers and lighting directors.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
My marketing coordinator did a lot of research to find a partner. We wanted to hire a company based in Atlanta that had experience creating instructional videos for internal purposes.
We found The DVI Group and a few other companies in the Atlanta area, and we got quotes from them. The DVI Group’s pricing was right in the middle of the quotes we got from other companies, but they offered the most value for the money.
In addition to their fair price, The DVI Group had very good chemistry with our team, and they were very willing to work with us to ease the collaboration. They didn’t expect us to speak their language.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $22,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2021. We’re currently wrapping up the project (April 2022), and we’re only waiting for a few team members to revisit the Spanish subtitles. We didn’t expect the project to take this long, but we’re fine with it because the result is perfect.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The video created by The DVI Group helped us cut our training program down to a third of its former length, if not less than that. Before having this video, we had a 30-minute video in English and a 30-minute video in Spanish, so our crew had to take separate training; it took a lot of time. Now, we have an 11-minute video with a lot more information detailing our specific safety rules.
The team members who have seen it are very excited because the video will help streamline their process and make it more efficient. Additionally, it will provide a better sense of credibility to this information because our subcontractors will see our operational executives reading and explaining these safety rules. Finally, this video will help us with our inclusion efforts; everyone will see the same video in the same room, sign off on it, and get to work.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
I was very pleased with The DVI Group’s project management. We’ve worked on various large projects with different providers in the past, but this was the only one where I didn’t have to follow up on them to get status updates. This aspect was great because creative agencies aren’t usually very focused on the administrative side. However, I felt that I could be more hands-off and let The DVI Group drive the process.
They had a very clear process of how they did things, which was very helpful. They understood their assignment and constantly let us know the next steps, following up with us when needed. Starting these kinds of projects from scratch is usually very intimidating and overwhelming, but The DVI Group made us feel at peace with the process, and we trusted them from the get-go.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The DVI Group’s quality of work in all areas was impressive. They offered excellent project administration, creativity, and organization, and they had very talented people working on our project. Additionally, their work range spoke volumes about what they could do. Other creative companies were very niche-specific, but The DVI Group was very willing to dive into an industry they knew nothing about. They were as invested in the success and perfection of the project as we were.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything that The DVI Group could have done better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Sit down with your team to understand your purpose, and be prepared to provide The DVI Group with the assets that they will need from you. As far as you clearly understand your needs, you’ll help cut down the brainstorming process time.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the commander of the AMC’s Air Operation Squadron Detachment One. I’m associated with training devices, simulators, and KC10, an air-to-air refueling tanker in the US Air Force.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We were looking to upgrade our outdated technology and training videos into something that can be used in the current commercial space.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The DVI Group provided us with training video production and website development and design. We gave them a list of our requirements and they storyboarded our requests, as well as came up with the graphics.
Their team then presented us their ideas and we introduced them to subject matter experts to verify the technical data involved.
Moreover, they developed our website and its content from scratch.
What is the team composition?
I mainly worked with Matthew (CEO) and Lukas (Video Editor) from their team.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
My pilot subject matter expert went to Delta to see who they use to make training videos. They were able to connect us to The DVI Group, so we worked out a contract and started our partnership from there.
How much have you invested with them?
The contract was worth $750,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January 2020–January 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have any technical data on the results so we don’t have any measurable metrics, but the feedback for the videos has been generally positive. Having this type of technology as a way to learn is what’s been missing in our organization for a long time.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re one of the most organized and professional companies I’ve worked with in my 19 years in the Air Force. The DVI Group was absolutely outstanding, easy to collaborate with, and they were excellent with their communication and feedback — a top-notch organization.
We typically communicated through email and phone. They were easy to get a hold of and were readily available for us to call.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were impressed with their technical expertise and ability to produce a video that was above and beyond our expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The DVI Group was outstanding to work with from beginning to end, so there’s nothing they need to improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have the opportunity to work with them, I would highly recommend you do it, because they’re a great organization.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a senior program manager at a nonprofit organization focused on a particular spinal bones disease. We work with pharmaceutical companies and people who have this disease to raise awareness. Additionally, we work not only with the patients but also with physicians to help us get an earlier diagnosis of this disease.
Our nonprofit organization started a while back, and we’ve been continuously growing. As senior program manager, I handle a lot of the projects that we work on, and I’m in charge of a lot of the logistical aspects of these projects.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We received a grant to create short video clips of different topics related to our community. Thus, we hired The DVI Group to create these videos, including writing the scrips and handling the whole video production.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The DVI Group created seven different videos of different topics for us, including a trailer that we can use for promotional purposes. They worked closely with us to create the scripts and produce the videos.
For these videos, we worked with an education committee to come up with the general content we needed. However, as we were not scriptwriters, The DVI Group helped us translate that information into a script format. Then, we reviewed the scripts to ensure they were medically accurate.
After that process, The DVI Group hired two actors and filmed them presenting the topics. They included a lot of images in the videos to bring the entire story together and give the people watching them all the information they needed.
As we liked their work so much, we then hired them for a completely different project. Now, they’re working with us to create two three-part videos of physicians and rheumatologists speaking about the disease and how to diagnose it. The videos will have a PowerPoint presentation format mixed with the recording of the physicians on the screen. These videos are meant for medical students. Once put together, each video will have a duration of 30–45 minutes.
What is the team composition?
We started working with Kevin (VP of Sales & Business Development), who was the first person I had contact with. We’ve also met Erin (Producer) and The DVI Group’s CEO. Additionally, we’ve worked with their production team, which has participated in all these projects.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
I started looking for video production companies through Google search and found several. I might have also gone to Clutch, but I don’t remember exactly.
During this search, I was interested in how the companies presented their websites. Some websites didn’t include a lot of information, but The DVI Group’s website had a lot of samples of their work, and we were able to see what they produce and who they work with, which was amazing.
I submitted a contact form for them and immediately got a response from Kevin. We got amazed at how efficient they were with the entire process; they were amazing. For instance, I couldn’t believe how quickly Kevin got in touch and set up a phone call with us: we spoke within the same week, while other companies took three weeks to get back at us.
We met Erin and The DVI Group’s CEO during the call that Kevin set up. They listened to us for around 30 minutes regarding what we wanted to do. Then, they brought in a proposal, and we signed it.
How much have you invested with them?
Considering both projects, we will spend a total of around $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started our conversation around February 2021. Then, around mid-2021, we contacted The DVI Group again to discuss the second project while the first one was still active. They completed the first project in January 2022, but the second project is still ongoing and will continue until around March 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The videos that The DVI Group created were of very high quality. They went above and beyond what we envisioned, and the result ended up being perfect. We also did surveys on the videos, and everyone loved them. They said the videos were straightforward, clear, and well done.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
The DVI Group’s project management is the best; they’ve been great. It’s amazing how quickly they give updates using their Excel spreadsheets throughout the process. We’ve been able to see where they are at any point during production, and they offer constant communication. Additionally, if we miss a deadline for a review on our side, they quickly reach out to us and handle the issues that arise to ensure that we continue to meet our goals.
Everyone in The DVI Group is very responsive and organized with their timelines. It is also very easy to work with them because they’re very transparent and communicative. We haven’t really had an issue with them, and any hiccups we’ve come across have been solved right away.
If I email them, I get an answer immediately, no matter the time. For instance, Kevin was in charge of arranging the contract, but up until now, I’ve been able to contact him and get his assistance when needed, even though that isn’t technically his job.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The DVI Group’s professionalism is impressive. They’re very professional and understanding, and they listen to what their clients have to say to ensure that their work projects that vision.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything that The DVI Group could improve on. It has been a very easy process for us, even though we were initially nervous because this is one of the biggest projects we’ve done. We’re so excited about their work, and we hope to continue working with them on other projects.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re starting a video production project, reach out to a company as soon as possible so that you can give yourself enough time to hit your deadlines.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CCO for Payrix, an embedded fintech company. We provide embedded payment services to vertical software companies with two solutions. One is a payment infrastructure SaaS product, where customers just use us for our technology stack. The other is our payment facilitation SaaS product, where people use both our technology and our payment capability to process payments for their customers in their vertical software.
Every business has its own software to operate, so we embed our payment technology inside their software to allow them to take payments in a very frictionless and streamlined way. We’re a relatively new business, and we’ve only been around since 2015.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We wanted to communicate, in under 90 seconds, our entire story, value proposition, and embed payment technology and capability to vertical software companies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The DVI Group created two animated videos to help us with our marketing. We used those videos on our new website and YouTube channel, and we distributed them within LinkedIn and Twitter.
We provided them with our background, and they created the storyboard, the script, and the layout. They also created all of the animations and provided voice talent. We gave them some input, but they took the whole project from start to finish for us.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a creative director and their team. There were 5–7 people involved in the project at any given time.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
The DVI Group was recommended to our marketing director. When I was looking for someone to create the videos, the marketing director told me that she would look for someone. We met with a couple of potential providers and ended up choosing The DVI Group.
They weren’t the least expensive vendor. However, they seemed to be the best — I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
How much have you invested with them?
Our budget was in the range of $25,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started interacting with them in February 2021, and we started working together in March 2021. In less than 30 days, they created the two videos, and we were ready to do the launch in April 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to The DVI Group’s work, we have two videos that our sales and marketing teams can send out. We’ve seen our website’s traffic increase by over 200% after the videos went on. We’ve also seen our form fills, leads, and opportunities increase by four times after a 30-day period.
The DVI Group was an instrumental and amazing partner to work with in a very short period of time. They were ecstatic and exceeded our expectations.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
The DVI Group’s project management was amazing. They were on time and on purpose. We communicated via email, Zoom, and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The DVI Group had a high level of professionalism, and their experience was amazing. They were straightforward and clear about what they could do and in what time frame. We had a really good feeling about this engagement, and they exceeded what we expected from them, still.
They knew so much about what they were doing, that they made it exceptionally easy for me and my department to understand what they were up to.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The DVI Group did everything we wanted and more. We don’t have a lot of experience in video creation, so I’m not sure what they could have done differently.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust The DVI Group — they understand the process.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I manage marketing production for the global team at Sage.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We’re launching an initiative with our customer success group to show that we are here to support our customers as their businesses grow. They asked us to create a two-minute video with animated motion graphics, so we hired The DVI Group.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I met with Matthew (CEO) and gave The DVI Group a brief description of the project and what we were looking for. Although we had to stay within the confines of our pre-approved animation styles, I wanted them to think outside the box.
They studied our customers and past work to get a better understanding of our brand. From there, they presented three different options and gave us a lot of different options to update our current assets.
They created both a normal and an animated storyboard, which easy for me to take that and to the internal clients and get the signoffs that I needed. After that, they completed the video.
What is the team composition?
First, I spoke with Matthew about what we were looking for, but then I worked with Kevin (VP of Sales & Business Development) to figure out how we could tackle the project. I also spent plenty of time working with Erin (Production Manager) and Stuart (Creative Director).
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
I met with The DVI Group when I was working at another company. I have always wanted to work with them because I’ve heard that they do really good work. When I started here, my company had already selected them through an RFP process. I really encouraged my company to speed up the process so we could begin working with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $15,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started talking to them in August 2020 and began the project in December. Now that we’ve completed this project, I have three more projects lined up with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
This is the best animated video that we’ve produced all year — that’s saying a lot because we produce a lot of content. Once we released the video, I started receiving emails asking about who produced it and if they could work with them. For higher-profile clients with larger budgets, I definitely would bring on The DVI Group.
They really went the extra mile to secure funding and get the project started. They saw the project through from beginning to end. They came up with creative solutions that addressed all of our needs.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
This project, by all standards, was flawless. Their communication is on-point. They did a good job providing updates and checking in with us.
They use a different internal project management system than we do, but they adjusted by learning to use our project management system. All formal communication went through Workfront. For anything else, though, they called, texted, and emailed me.
They were almost always available. That’s part of the reason why the project went well. We may have held up the project here and there, but their team responded to feedback and schedule changes quickly. They were very professional.
On top of that, they worked well with my team, regardless of the time zone. My stakeholders are located in the UK, Atlanta, Georgia, and San Francisco, California but The DVI Group was able to manage communication with all of them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Most importantly, the creative output was really good. They put a lot of work into the final product. They’ve been worth every penny.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I wouldn’t want to change anything about our experience. Nothing went wrong.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go ahead and start working with them. Talk to their sales team and ask for examples of their work. I worked with them on animation, but I know they also offer 3D work and live-action film. They offer great creative solutions; you just need to talk with them.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the customer service, sales, and marketing supervisor for a packaging company that specializes in high-barrier film. We’ve been active for the past 30 years.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We wanted an introduction video explaining our solutions. At the time, we didn’t have marketing material like this, so we were looking for someone to create a video for customers that may not understand the scope of what we have to offer.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Originally, we wanted a video to display in our facility. Due to the pandemic, we decided to go for a completely animated video. We didn’t have much experience with video marketing, so they guided us through a bit of a learning curve. They helped us determine what was and wasn’t important, distilling our ideas into a 3–4 minute video.
First, they asked me about key elements of the video and our goal for our viewers. Then, they handled storyboarding, scripting, voiceovers, animation, and graphics.
What is the team composition?
There were about 6–7 people working on the project from their side at any given moment.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
We searched for local video production companies and came across their website in the process. On their website, their attention to detail in their video content was clear. They had a comprehensive portfolio of content on their site, so I thought it would be a good idea to contact them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $43,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from July–October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They constructed a well-balanced, useful video for us. We’re even planning on using it internally for new hires. While we haven’t launched yet, their attention to detail in their work is the best I’ve ever seen.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a clear schedule that they closely followed throughout the project. I knew when tasks would be complete, and their communication was outstanding. We communicated through email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were a creative, imaginative team that could translate my vision into a video product.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything. They’re doing an outstanding job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Prepare a general timeline for the project, leaving some wiggle room for getting approval from key players at your company. I’d advise companies to do this in any engagement.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the regional marketing manager for a commercial real estate company that specializes in health care, industrial, and office products.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We wanted to create a virtual groundbreaking ceremony for a construction project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
DVI developed a storyboard, produced a 10-minute video, and created a one-minute version for social media purposes. They arranged the shoot, filmed, edited, and produced the video. Their team interviewed all of the different speakers featured in the video too. They also included the animation of the building that we built in-house. The video also included aerial shots though.
What is the team composition?
I had a primary point of contact at DVI, Erin (Production Manager).
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
I found them through Google searches. I chose them based on the quality of their products and their location. We have a growing office in Atlanta. I couldn’t find a vendor in Jacksonville and decided to find a local company in the Atlanta area.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $30,000–$35,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started this project in June and completed it in October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Overall, the project was successful. It garnered the right emotions and engagement from our customers and employees. The quality of the video production was fantastic. The music that DVI wove throughout the video set a tone of excitement.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
We mostly communicated via email. DVI used a video sharing tool that allowed us to comment and provide edits as needed. The production process was smooth and straightforward. They were flexible with us because we needed to work around the activity of the construction site. Their team rolled with the punches when the schedule didn’t work in our favor and still finished the video on time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They heard our story and understood multiple perspectives. We have multiple business units that make us unique, and DVI brought everyone to the table and let everyone share their part in the project. Their team was able to synthesize all of the information into a story that made sense, which was impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they were fantastic.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come prepared with as much information as possible. I felt that I had too much information and brought it to them to sort out. I really appreciated that about them.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of brand service design and delivery for an intercontinental hotel and resort company.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We wanted a leadership training program.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The title of the course was “Leading & Sustaining Your Service Culture”. We wanted to create a 360 program that incorporated various pieces of training to make it valuable to our leadership, especially with the high turnover in the industry. The course was divided into two parts: “Building and Sustaining a Culture”, and “The Important Role A Leader Plays in The Delivery of the Guest Experience”.
DVI supported us in packaging all the current assets and content, as well as building out video moments in the training that spoke to the audience about some of the benefits of sustaining a culture. Additionally, it outlined some good skills to have as a leader, and what tools they could go to should they need additional guidance.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Stuart (Creative Director), Matthew (CEO), and one other person from their team.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
This project started before I came on board, so I’m not sure where we sourced DVI. What I do know is that it’s convenient to work with them, since they’re local. Having a local vendor makes things easier since we can have face-to-face meetings.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent roughly $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in November 2018, and we finished in August 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We uploaded the new program into our LMS to track engagement. There were definitely some great reviews about how it made it easier for a general manager to have resources in one consolidated place.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They were open, communicative, and transparent. The team was always willing to jump on quick calls in case there were last-minute changes or feedback. They gave suggestions along the way and invited us to think about the creative elements and the bigger picture. It was a holistic approach at every step of the way. We communicated via phone and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were highly invested in our success. I’ve worked with other vendors in the past that were just order-takers. DVI took the time to make sure this program was well-thought-out and lasted us longer than average.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We could’ve had more consistent communication since we were moving from milestone to milestone. There was no real cadence. Having a weekly check-in would’ve been very helpful.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t be afraid to show all of your cards with them, since that helps to build the relationship. They won’t use anything against you, it’ll all be to make the program better.

Animated Video Production for CRM & CTI Solutions Company
“We knew that we were in safe hands.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the product marketing lead of a CRM and CTI solutions company. We’re a Cisco-only vendor and we serve contact centers. We focus on CRM and enterprise integration solutions.
Basically, we allow companies as well as contact centers and their agents to work from one screen by bringing in all the Cisco contact center functionality into the CRM or enterprise application that we build the connectors for.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We were doing a brand refresh of our connect product line. Our connect product line is our main product. Our team wanted to create an animated video to go with the brand refresh. Essentially, we wanted to create something that was catchy, punchy, and high-level.
The objectives were to show the value of the brand and show what the product line does. Our products are very technical and it’s difficult to show them off without getting into technical details.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They created an animation that was one minute and twenty seconds long. It’s like a commercial or advert. Normally, we showcase our products through tech demos but we wanted to get away from that. This animation was a creative way to handle our refresh. Our team really liked the ideas they went with.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two main individuals — Stuart (Animator Team Lead) and Erin (Production Manager). We also worked with Suzanne (CRO) on the financial and billing aspects. On occasion, we had some of their creative team involved in our conversations but that happened maybe twice.
How did you come to work with The DVI Group?
They started working with my company before I joined. To my knowledge, it was probably through a referral. I believe that one of our team members said they had worked with The DVI Group before.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested about $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from March–August 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The DVI Group helped us create a stronger brand for our connect portfolio. We feel that the characters in the animation they made are something we want to carry on with.
Currently, we’re in the process of a buyout for the characters they created. We’re looking at moving forward with 4–5 more videos in the same animation style they did this video with. Our team is really happy with the results and what they’ve helped us do around the brand.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They were excellent. Their team always stuck to their deadlines and kept us up-to-date. It was overall great and very impressive. If they hadn’t led us as well as they did, we would’ve been much more behind because it wasn’t always at the top of our priority list to follow up with feedback and such. They were honest with us. I was very vocal about a lot of things, and they weren’t afraid to tell us their opinion. I had to rely on their creative process a bit more than my own.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They gave us a really personal touch to the project. It was great to have a solid team but also only need to get in touch with a few individuals. There was a lot of back-and-forth communication during every part of the project. We knew that we were in safe hands.
What’s more, their ideas were so creative. They came up with things that we would never have been able to come up with. It’s clear that they know our company, and it’s great to have that continuity. There are people on their team who went out of their way to find out and learn more about us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of a single thing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust in their creative process. That’s something I struggled with. There were times during the beginning of the engagement when I wasn’t sure if we were going down the right track.
However, trusting them to do what they’re good at and being honest when you feel that something isn’t going the right way is important. They’ll either convince you that it is right or take the time to listen to you and change tracks. Their team made it clear it was always possible to change tracks.

Internal Branding and Leadership Training for Hospitality Co
“It was well-coordinated, cohesive, and professional.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the brand manager for a number of hotel brands.
What challenge were you trying to address with The DVI Group?
We needed help engaging our frontline personnel and leadership to deliver the brand promise in hotels. We wanted to explain our expectations in a compelling and visually stimulating way.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The DVI Group created a video to explain our expectations, which was embedded in an educational software. The hotel chain we were working with was global, so it needed it be relevant and respectful of the different operational business practices in all of the regions. The DVI Group team had to incorporate a lot of nuances in order to serve all of the different locations.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four people from their team.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2018, and we wrapped up in August 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their attention to detail, lighting, editing, casting, and video production were all really top-notch. It was well-coordinated, cohesive, and professional.
How did The DVI Group perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a good job, overall. I appreciated their project management especially since the company I worked for at the time was very capricious and would change their minds on a whim.
The one part that didn’t work well was the software element, which they had sub-contracted out to a third-party vendor. It wasn’t well done, but I can’t fault them for that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their attention to detail, access to great studio expertise, and strong project management are areas where they excel.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They were misled in their agreement with their subcontractor. They have real expertise with creating videos, but putting it into a learning offering was something they needed to outsource. That subcontractor allowed typos, misspellings, and ignored feedback. If they want to continue that partnership, they should rectify that conduct or develop the skill in-house.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to set realistic expectations and a healthy budget. They’re not a cheap option, so be prepared to pay for quality. I was very proud of the work they were able to do.
The video created by The DVI Group helped significantly reduce the training program duration, streamlining it and adding credibility to it. The team was very understanding, helpful, and proactive. Additionally, their organizational skills and high-quality work were impressive.
