What was the scope of their involvement?
We meet with DSC each year to discuss the previous year’s results and establish our main goals for the upcoming year. We take full advantage of DSC’s broad list of services, so their scope of work is all-encompassing.
Advertising is one of the most important tasks, so they always provide us with a variety of concepts for us to choose from. They create up to 10 ads each year and strategically place them in trade magazines and digital spaces. Our 180-page catalog is available online for download, but perfect-bound physical copies are also produced and distributed semiannually. The 260-page Orange Book of Knowledge, which has served as the industry bible for the last 15 years, is filled with application notes and distributed biennially.
They built a comprehensive website and continue to perform routine maintenance. One of the best features are the banners that they incorporated into the website which helps our customers distinguish the various divisions within our company. We plan on revamping the site in order to make it mobile-friendly. The AR applications that they developed are complete with datasheets, videos, and posters. The iOS- and Android-compatible apps facilitate a lot of lead generation with our media partners.
DSC also hosts our webinars and produces industry news and videos that typically receive 500 views. They recently filmed a virtual reality video of our facility. For the tradeshows, they organize giveaways and craft graphic panels for our booths.
What is the team composition?
We were assigned a full-service group, which included an account manager, creative team, and a web- and media-designer. During busy periods, they will assign freelancers to assist with certain projects.
How did you come to work with DSC Advertising?
Our chairman of the board is attuned to marketing and advertising, so he selected DSC as our sole marketing agency years before I came onboard.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been using their services exclusive for more than 15 years. Our in-house staff manages social media, but we collaborate with them for all of our other marketing needs.
