We hired Dreamguy’s Technologies to build my client’s admin portal to facilitate the management of members, events, organization structure, etc. Their team oversaw all aspects of design and development.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted the portal to facilitate all aspects of running the client’s annual event.

How did you select this vendor?

We originally found them while doing online research. After our first conversations with them, we were confident that they could take on this project.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

The web portal that The Dreamguy’s Technologies team built gives members access to login and check their activity, manage contacts, pay, etc. The administrator can manage and oversee the members and their activities as well.

What was the team composition?

We’ve managed the project on our end and worked with about four team members from Dreamguy’s Technologies.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The portal was successfully developed and released to members in the community. The Dreamguy’s Technologies team still provides support when we need to make minor changes or updates.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used a variety of tools to collaborate and track progress. They provided daily updates via Skype, which ensured that the project requirements were clear to both parties.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team is available and happy to help anytime. They’re also very technically savvy, which has been extremely helpful.

There were sometimes minor gaps in communication around following up on inquiries.

We are a health technology company based in New York. We build software technology helping patients and doctors manage their communication and workflow in the form of a SaaS [software-as-a-service] platform and a mobile-based patient-engagement solution.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dreamguy’s Technologies?

Our challenge consisted of getting access to talent within a short period of time in order to get help with our development cycle. That talent needed be exceptional in terms of skill sets because we were developing the next generation of web platforms for patients and providers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dreamguy’s has interacted with our own development team, and has been intimately involved in the overall project development.

We were introducing a payment-gateway service within the application to facilitate the payment collection on behalf of doctors. Dreamguy’s made 3 resources available to us, each with experience on other payment services. We were able to have them jump into the project quickly, without wasting any time. They’ve been instrumental in developing this service.

What is the team dynamic?

At present, we’re working with a pool of 12 full-time developers and engineers. There is also a management team who has ensured that projects are delivered successfully by taking an active role.

How did you come to work with Dreamguy’s Technologies?

A full-time member of our team, who has been with us for 2.5 years, previously worked for Dreamguy’s. At that time, we were having difficulties finding the right talent, so he suggested we reach out to them.

Dreamguy’s had a large pool of talented engineers within its team who were available to us as soon as we placed the requirement. We were also pleased with their ability to get onboarded quickly in terms of understanding our technology. They’ve essentially been working as an extension of our own full-time dev team.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent close to $250,000 overall.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2016, and we have an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been extremely pleased with the level of service and professionalism they offer. We have a large customer base who has been impressed with our product. It’s served them extremely well, which is reflected in the feedback and testimonials we’ve received. It’s also a natural reflection of our partnership with Dreamguy’s, who has been an integral part of our development process.

How did Dreamguy’s Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We have an in-house project management team, as well as 2 resources from their side, including a product and project manager. They work closely with our project management team to make sure all deliverables are coming along as scheduled. They’ve been a key part in developing our project plan, aligning resources and making sure the rights one are deployed, as well as addressing some key priority areas based on our lifecycle.

They’ve been accessible. Our offices are in the same time zone, so they’ve been able to come in if needed. We use web and phone systems to communicate, and have never had any issues in reaching them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They don’t just act as an outsourced web development team, but instead have become an integral part of our company. We see them as an extension of our team because their goals align with ours. This level of professionalism makes Dreamguy’s stand out from competitors.

We’ve been extremely pleased with the hiring process because they’ve quickly made resources available with short notice. Hiring talent has never been a problem, and once they’re onboard, their own product management quickly trains them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential clients?

As long as the client identifies how they will be partnering with Dreamguy’s team and set expectations up front, whether it’s a short or long-term project, then they’ll be able to work.
