We needed a back office platform to automatize all our flows (legal, accounting, enrollment, payment).

Yurii responded within a few seconds to our request. His understanding of our request was perfect. Then we met with the other team members

We first send spec files to Maria the project manager for her to review it and then she use to call us to make sure everything is understood. Then she dispatches it to the developers.

We worked with a team of 4/5 depending of the scope. Including the project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our platform is up and running and we are satisfied with the work delivered.

The communication was mostly via jira and zoom calls. The team always meets the deadlines and the communication is smooth.

Dotcode has three major strengths :

• The excellent quality of their code
• The very high professionalism of their team
• The ability to come up with creative and original solutions

We truly enjoy how business-friendly they are. The end product they deliver is often better than the one we required them to build for us.

For now we have nothing to say, we want to continue the collaboration on updates and new projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with DotCode?

We needed help with website design. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

DotCode developed 5–6 web pages for us, including the main page where site visitors can see information about our company. They also developed a booking page where users can select a location and dates to book.

In addition, DotCode added a feature where users can indicate if they need coolers and chairs. The site also allows users to review their purchases, propose a pickup, and check their status. 

For the back end, DotCode built a page that allows us to organize bookings and view our customers’ profiles. They also included a function where we can cancel and confirm bookings. 

We used Figma throughout the process. It was convenient because we could access it at any time, and they gave us the ability to leave comments on the page’s specific elements.

We worked with a designer, a project manager, and a business analyst.

We found DotCode through Clutch. We saw that they had good reviews, so we contacted them. They gave the best proposal among the vendors we spoke with, so we decided to hire them.

We spent less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from October–December 2020.  

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

DotCode’s UI/UX work was very detailed. I only provided a general idea from my head, but they made it functional. They designed our platform such that users needed fewer clicks to allow better interaction. Their design was intuitive. 

The site received positive feedback from our stakeholders, as they were impressed with its design.  

How did DotCode perform from a project management standpoint?

DotCode was good at project management. Additionally, their communication was immediate — they respond within a few hours, which was helpful for our team. They also implement our feedback within one day. We communicate through Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

DotCode’s communication was impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. Everything was good with DotCode.

Before you start working with DotCode, understand what you want. In our initial meetings, they asked me so many questions that I didn’t know the answer to. It’s better to start a project with a clear idea of what you’re trying to achieve.

I am the Co-Founder of an AI-driven ESG data provider for investors. I oversea our technology at our company.

We wanted to build a web app to host our Power BI dashboard for our users to interact with.

We really liked how they mocked up a design for the web app which was most in line with our vision, whereas, other vendors did not provide us with a template. They also were the most responsive in giving us a quote.

It was a fairly simple web app which we are using to get initial feedback from our clients before developing it further. The log in was built in PHP and the front-end was built in React. They deployed it on our GCP account and committed the code to a repo on our GitHub.

We had one developer to execute this project but we had several calls with the CEO and COO.

We have not yet got feedback from our users on the web app.

Their project management style was good: I could see their commits on our GitHub and we had several update calls with the CEO and COO.

They understood exactly what we wanted, and executed it on time and to a high standard.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Perhaps we could have had a more structured method of communication but it was a simple project so that was not really necessary. If it was a longer project we would set up scheduled calls with them.

We have worked on a number of projects but our process is usually that our team will create specification and requirements with some very basic designs using PowerPoint or pen and paper. Forward those to DotCode who then comes back with a timeline, budget, and mock-ups. We agree on terms then start development. We check in daily if needed and we get email updates and videos showing progress. Our companies CTO is specific about technology used, so DotCode has been great adapting to us. We use AWS, GoDaddy, Intersystem Ensemble, Cache, jquery, HTML, JAVA, MySQL, Apache, etc.

There were 6 people in the core team. We had a web/graphic designed who did beautiful work, a project manager and documented in Cortana, 1 QA and test engineer, and 3 full-stack developers.

We were able to develop a brand new application focused on COVID-19 screening and surveillance in weeks. We have had amazing success in all of our projects with a great ROI. Working with DotCode has been a great experience.

We use share drive, Asana, Cortana, and email. I am not an instant messenger person. We meet daily or weekly as needed and have excellent communication.

There ability to provide a one-stop shop! I can get all my design, development, documentation, and testing done in one place. They have excellent talent and the people are very nice.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are always working on our communication and documentation. That is an area that I am weak and need help. It took a few cycles to work out the best process for us all.

Futsal is an exciting, fast-placed small sided soccer game that is played across the world and is officially recognized by both FIFA and UEFA. Futsal is played in all the continents of the world by over 100 countries with 12 million players. We are based in Wheeling and Rockford, IL.

For what projects/services did your company hire DotCode?

We’re looking for tech support for our current websites. DotCode helped us to redesign our website with amazing UI due to our requirements. Also, they created from scratch design for our Cabinet (platform that we used for manage our team, checking the payment status, manage children’s profile), Admin Panel for trainers(that helps us to monitor all the process)

What were your goals for this project?

We work with a large number of children, and all payments that were made by the parents were by cash, so sometimes it was difficult for trainers to manage the process. This website is really useful and helpful for us and for children.

We’ve got DotCode as a vendor on referral. They designed, developed and configure a website for our partners. So they have recommended the DotCode team as a tech vendor.

DotCode team worked on our website. They designed, developed and configured it during the marketing remarks. The website was made in WordPress because it should have the ability to easily change the content of the website. The team added key features to the website: chat, call tracking, Google Maps Integration, FB integration. Font-end for Cabinet and Admin Panel was made with ReactJS, back-end with PHP and Symfony framework.

What was the team composition?

The project team contained 4 people. We worked with front-end and back-end developers, designer and project manager. We had a project manager who constantly contacted us and reported about work done.They are really experts!

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

To make the website alive was the most important achievement for our leadership, directors. The site has experienced great traffic. Our users have given us positive feedback on the usability of the platform.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was really impressive, especially compared to other vendors. Our Company and DotCode team were in different time zones, but it wasn’t a problem. They were always very flexible in time. We communicated via Skype.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

When dealing with technical people, soft skills are sometimes hard to come by. But early on in the decision-making progress, they were able to very clearly articulate what services they were going to provide and how they would be helpful. Any vendor will say they want the best for their clients, but it’s another thing to demonstrate that desire. I appreciate their keen understanding of our needs and their approach to achieving success.

We are an online digital marketing company and we mostly take care of small to medium sized businesses. We take care of social media management, web design, e-commerce and advertising. My name is Gianni Chiazzese and I am the founder and owner.

We needed to revamp our code which was a bit dated and DotCode was easy to work with and the results were quick and accurate.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to have an upgraded version of our existing code with the latest technologies available.

We discovered them online after a bit of research, within 5 minutes of a discussion, we knew they were knowledgeable and professional.

They cleaned up our code by removing outdated software such as Google plus; this code still lingers in many websites and since Google 's decision to shut it down, it must be carefully removed from customized code without affecting the integrity of other elements. They also updated our "packages code" so that we may modify our options via our back end admin panel. Before the change our packages were unchangeable via the admin panel, we always had to use a programmer. Other code updates such as user admin panel enhancements for new platforms such as TikTok so that the end user can link social media was also an important upgrade.

We had 2-3 programmers at any given time providing their insight but we always had a lead programmer that we can communicate with, that was awesome!

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Just the fact that we are up to date with social media had an immediate impact with regards to users and followers on social media. Also, having the ability to make changes to our packages on the spot allows us to move with the trends at lightning speed.

We had weekly video conference meetings even if there were no significant changes, that communication allowed to dig deep for anything we missed.

We were looking for tech support for our website and wanted to make some changes before it went live.

DotCode provided front- and backend development services for our website. The team updated all plug-ins and added or changed the site's features, such as an open cart and a chat option. They also helped move our platform to WordPress and designed the website.

DotCode was always available, no matter the time of day, even on the weekend. There was an 8-hour time difference, but that didn’t have a negative impact on communication or availability. We mainly used Skype, but Maria also used Jira to keep me updated on deadlines.
