I am the founder and host of a podcast called The PR Pod. The podcast was created for those in the early stages of their public relations careers as a practical resource to help listeners master common PR tasks plus provide guidance on professional development.
For what projects/services did your company hire Sydney Design Social?
I required a logo and a handful of other assets and enlisted Sydney Design Social to create that brand identity for The PR Pod.
What were your goals for this project?
I wanted a logo that would appeal to the main target demographic of the podcast, which would be mostly females, 18 - 30yrs. The podcast cover artwork needed to stand-out so it was visible and eye-catching within podcast platforms and felt relatable to the core listeners. It needed to be fun, professional and have a feminine feel.
How did you select Sydney Design Social?
I have had the pleasure of working with Sydney Design Social for a number of years now. They have been responsible for some branding updates to my other business, a PR agency, plus they have managed the social media, graphic design and websites for a number of my hospitality clients. They were my first and only choice to create the brand assets for The PR Pod.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
I provided a brief that outlined the brand values and target demographic of The PR Pod, plus provided some references for guidance. Sydney Design Social presented me with a handful of options to choose from, with differing various artwork, logos and font. I selected one and they then refined the assets to incorporate some small pieces of feedback, before delivering them to me.
What was the team composition?
I worked directly with Sydney Design Social founder, Naomi Ross, on the project, and then liaised with one of her team member's for the final deliverables.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The feedback to the artwork has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly from the target audience of the podcast.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication was quick and they were responsive to any feedback. It was a seamless and pain-free process.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
As always, Sydney Design Social are very good at delivering to a brief and they did that, yet again, with The PR Pod brand assets.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There isn't anything that I would want them to do differently.
