Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the national manager of IT at a car rental company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Order Technology Pvt. Ltd.?
We needed someone to provide custom software development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Digital Order developed our custom software, which is a long-term rental module. It takes care of the billing and invoicing of those cars that are rented on a long-term basis (a long-term rental refers to a rental of somewhere between one month to one year).
They utilized .NET, PHP, and MySQL to build the platform, which is a mobile Android app with a desktop dashboard. They also provided training to effectively use the module.
The product allows you to assign a particular chauffeur for a particular car. Every day, the chauffeur can upload the mileage and run-times of the car. At the end of the month, he can consolidate the mileage and bill the customer appropriately.
What is the team composition?
Initially, my point of contact was the director of the company, who would come into my office. Lately, they’ve deployed one resource who’s managing our training stage. Once the contract is built out, we can begin working independently.
