Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of aboutjewishpeople.com and east-asian-cultures.com.
What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Marketing Byte?
I needed help with web development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They supported all of my platform’s technical aspects from the beginning. I focus on content creation and don’t have time to do other things. Digital Marketing Byte handled website development, website design, and coding requests. Along the way, they handled any technical issues that arose. Their team did our technical SEO because I’m more specialized with homepage SEO.
I have no speed issues because they provide analysis and explanations on what needs to be completed. In the future, they’re going to build the landing page for a virtual conference I’m creating. They’re building the landing page from scratch because it’s going to have a complicated infrastructure.
What is the team composition?
I work with Salauddin (Founder, Digital Marketing Byte). I’m in contact with the other team members as well.
How did you come to work with Digital Marketing Byte?
I had previously worked with Salauddin two years ago for my Shopify site. I found him on Fiverr.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve invested less than $1,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website is successful, and I already have more than 10,000 views. I’m very happy with the design and plan to do a redesign when content increases. Currently, he’s working on revamping my logo.
Salauddin is a nice person and I trust him 1000%. He has all the passwords for my website. I’ve never had any money problems with him, and there are no signs of greediness. He’s always at my service so I’ve never looked for someone else.
I have a lot of confidence in him. He’s familiar with 90% of my requests, and if he isn’t, he finds the answer. He’s more than just a contractor to me, he’s a consultant. Salauddin analyzes problems within the website to find the source of the issue.
How did Digital Marketing Byte perform from a project management standpoint?
His project management style is not the Western standard. On the other hand, he doesn’t charge as much as local companies. He charges much less because he works differently—that’s an advantage. Salauddin is very knowledgeable, and I’m satisfied with his work.
We communicate through Skype groups for the two websites. Members of his team are assigned to each group. He notifies me on the progress of every task.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I trust him like I trust someone in my family—completely. He’s very loyal and always available. If I need something urgent on the weekend, he’s there.
Are there any areas they could improve?
He could have a project manager who creates reports and presentations, but then projects would be more expensive. It’s a tradeoff. What I’m getting is good for me.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You must be hands-on. There are so many moving components that affect and influence what you’re doing. There are different opinions and ideologies. You must be knowledgeable about what you need or you’ll go bankrupt.
