Devhance was hired to develop highly responsive and functional web application for us.

The main goal of the project was to build a web application for marketing and promotion purposes. This project was a crucial for our team as it enhanced our communications with clients and generated significant amount of leads.

Most impressive which we found about this company is the quality and product delivery speed. Despite the complexity of the project, Devhance team has managed to adapt to our rapidly changing working environment and deliver the high quality stand alone product in very tight timescale. Friendly and responsive team performed at the highest professional level.

I am a marketing manager in xbird. At xbird we use artificial intelligence to personalize therapies for better results. Especially in diabetes therapy, the algorithms developed by xbird can record the behavior and lifestyle of patients using smartphones and other wearables.

We needed a new website for your new App.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to see a clean and user-friendly website design as our audience is more senior and there are some interface details connected to this fact. The variety of website pages had to be flexible so that we could change it by ourselves in the future.

How did you select Devhance?

I searched online and Devhance had a good portfolio with similar designs that we needed and had a perfect price x quality ratio.

Describe the project in detail.

First, we planned to create both design and development but unfortunately, later our internal timings have changed and we decided to create only the design part. Everything went great and on time, after the kick-off call we had prototypes according to the pages and placeholders that we needed, then we received a set of design concepts to choose from. The final concept that we chose works really well for our needs and is very flexible.

What was the team composition?

There was a project manager and a designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My team likes the website. Soon we will make the first test with our audience and hope everything will go as planned.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I communicated with the team via slack, I always got quick responses from the team, and everything matched my expectations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was a small project so I would just say that everything went as planned and totally met my expectations and it's the most important while working with a new vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Approach to client service probably, as it could really help clients who don't have experience in similar projects, they need guidance throughout the whole project to feel confident that everything is going as planned. I've worked in agencies most of the time so I don't really need this, however, this is the small field of improvement that I may think of.

We run a language school and teacher training school in Barcelona. I am the Director of both companies and also in charge of marketing.

Our websites were very old and out of date and had to be rebuilt from scratch. They were also very slow and very difficult to manage.

We selected Devhance based on their great portfolio, great communication before the project and taking the time to answer all our questions, before committing and making a large investment and trusting them with an important part of our business.

The key deliverables were end-to-end development starting from creating a prototype and finishing with a fully-customised, bug-free website. The project steps were Prototyping UX -> UI Design -> Front-end Development -> Back-end development -> QA(quality assurance) -> Deployment Technologies used were Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Zeplin

We worked with Andrew as a the project manager, Jullia the designer and Vadym the lead developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The results was a website that was much easier to navigate and manage and was visually much more attractive. It was easier for us to update our course details and manage the payment process.

We had regular calls when necessary to hash out details and we used Slack as a team for daily communication and file sharing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I'm most impressed with the quality of the finished result. The websites are beautifully designed, even with quite complicated requirements and they are extremely fast.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Maybe deadlines! I think working together to set a realistic deadline, I realise that I was also a bottleneck to some stages of the work, with not having content completed on time, etc.

We had wireframes mocked up by another agency. The requirement was for Devhance to develop the wesbite based on our agreed requirements outlines within the timeframe specified.

They were recommended to me by someone within my network who had used them to develop their website.

They developed our website based on the requirements and wireframes outlined. This included making sure the visual assets including animation were incorporated as per the design and that transitions were smooth. That the website was designed with React front end, with Netlify CMS. Integrated with Google analytics. Making sure the website was SEO compatible, that the website worked well on all device types and was GDPR compliant.

What was the team composition?

There were 2 individuals who we dealt with, which included their CTO.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

I was impressed with their attitude, their level of responsiveness and the quality of their work.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had regular calls with them and had good communication over Slack. Their was also strong documentation on what work was inscope and have been very professional in making sure all points have been diligently covered.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have strong expertise in website development and are very responsive. They come across as a professional outfit who take pride in the work they deliver.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Only minor point is they rely on the client to schedule meetings rather than proactive sending the calendar invite themselves.

We provide consulting and design services to companies operating in the tourism sector of Iceland. Our service catalogue includes the design of website's, automated emails, printed material, brand design as well as consultation and necessary improvement analysis.

To redesign and code a marketplace website run by our company.

What were your goals for this project?

To improve on the old version and functionality of the website so that our users could book tours and experiences directly from our site.

They were highly rated and did not dissappoint.

We had an old website that was not very funtional, user's could not interact with it in any other form than reading. We wanted to increase the functionality and add a "book now" feature. DevHance was hired to design the look and layout of the new website as well as implement the changes.

What was the team composition?

The project team had 4 people with 3 of them coming and going.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new site is a vast improved on the previous iteration and we are happy with the result. DevHance did an excellent job and the project was finished within it's timeframe. We have extended the contract in order to keep them on to service the website on a as-needed basis.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We set deadlines for each task in coordination with DevHance in order to keep the time frames realistic. Some deadlines were extended due to external factors but did not affect the finalization of the project. Our teams communicated through UpWork and exhanged documents using their platform. Issues caused by time difference were miniscule, while English is not the first language of most employees at DevHance they have a good grasp of it and any misunderstangings were easily recognised and fixed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are very quick to answer requests and put them into effect. I never had to wait a few days for a request to be answered, researched and implemented. This was a big factor in our overall review of DevHance.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Only improvement I would recommend is using a different platform than UpWork. It sometimes feels clunky when exchanging messages and files.
