Designing North Studios is a digital strategy and design house providing brand creative, experience strategies, UI/UX design, and development for web and mobile products. First Orion was building products with passion. They were on a mission to tackle the large-scale epidemic of scams and robocalls to consumer mobile phones. But you wouldn’t know it from their website or their messaging. We met them and considered them true heroes in this battle, and we believed they were truly fighting for us. So we positioned them as the heroes we knew them to be, succinctly explained why to each of their very important audiences, and hit the launch button so they could share their stories everywhere.
After nearly a decade in the field, the Linked Foundation wanted their website to emphasize their initiatives in sustainable, scalable solutions to women’s health issues in Latin America. In addition, they wanted to share their knowledge via social media and blogging. Following an intensive discovery process, the studio team refined Linked’s brand statements, produced a responsive website on WordPress, and developed a social media strategy.
The studio was asked to analyze an existing comparative analysis workflow for prospective wealth management customers, and re-imagine the experience as an interactive, tactile, and more portable solution for their mobile workforce.
The studio team mapped the prospective customer journey, conceptualized an experience flow for mobile, designed interaction scenarios for identified users of the app, delivered a modern & engaging UI, and worked closely with engineering to art direct the final look and feel.
The new iPad app offered a more dynamic and real-time experience, was visually impressive, and a technically advanced solution that created opportunities to delight prospective customers, build brand awareness and greatly enhance the sales force tool suite.
The studio team built the new site to accommodate a custom eCommerce experience based on the client’s unique product sales model. The design was responsive across all devices not just at the user level but also at the admin level to accommodate delivery and mobile workers on-the-go. Its structure supported the growth of the business beyond its San Francisco locale, and allowed for product display based on delivery zip code. It was set-up to facilitate the creation of multiple online storefronts with separately assigned products for growth into various markets across the country as well as one master nationwide storefront.
How do you make your wine stand-out in a sea of wine bottles? With unique branding. The studio team partnered with Cimarone Wines’ proprietors to produce brand development, print design ranging from wine labels to brochures, and a new website on the VIN65 eCommerce platform including ShipCompliance integration. And yes, the wine is delicious and played a role in the discovery process.
The studio was engaged to create a user interface for the Professional Bull Riders Live Event Center. If fans could not physically be at the event, then PBR wanted them to be there via livestream. The studio team defined sections and content, then delivered the site map, wireframes, and final designs to an external engineering team. Our creative team continued to provide art direction throughout the implementation process. We were flown to Vegas for the big launch! Some clients are just too much fun.
