Recommendation system and clients churn prediction management
Our client is the largest national retail chain of beauty and health stores, offering more than 30,000 assortment items. It has more than 1000 stores operating throughout Ukraine. The client’s goal was to up-sell and cross-sell goods through a recommendation system and to make the realization of clients’ churn prediction modeling.
During the collaboration with Data Science UA the client achieved x2 improvement of key metric - Baseline model (recommending only the most popular SKUs) had [email protected] = 0.03. This means that out of 10 suggested SKUs client is likely to buy 3 . Our model had [email protected] = 0.07. This means that out of 10 suggested SKUs client is likely to buy 7.

Data collection and analysis tool
Data Science UA is building a client-facing product for a Big Four company in the HR domain.
The client’s goal is to develop a client-facing data collection and analysis web tool that will provide HR professionals with the latest market analytics, industry trends, and recommendations on the future development of HR function in their companies.
Current stage: web tool development (stage 1 out of 3)

ML Model creation
The client's global mobile banking app puts bill payment, banking, credit, investments all in one single platform. It connects to users' existing bank accounts, allows the user to pay all bills from one place. The main task for Data Science UA was to create and use an ML model for the classification of all transactions. So you as a user have an access to the necessary tools to stay on track with your financial goals in a cost-efficient way. Users can pay their bills and track important financial milestones through one integrated experience.

They also run technical interviews for Data Scientists before our team runs the final interviews, so by the moment a candidate ended up in our hands, we already know they are vetted and technically savvy. It was required to extend and improve the solution in our platform for sales forecasting with predictive analytics. We had large volumes of historical data and we had to make it useful for our sales processes.
Our goal was to improve key metrics. Sales forecasting algorithms look for patterns in this data. The detected patterns are further used to score the general tendencies of the deals in the pipeline to build predictions with a high level of accuracy.
