I am the owner of the Dance Studio and the originator of SWIPLO - a platform for managing dance schools.

For years, I have been successfully running the Dance Studio in two locations. We are developing fast. I had lacked a solution that would have allowed me to manage the School, classes and payments in a simple and intuitive way. My main goal was to create a solution to facilitate this process. When we developed the tool, all I needed was a reliable partner who would make an upgrade. Da Vinci Studio helped us with this and created applications and a landing page for us.

I chose Da Vinci Studio considering their experience. In addition to monitoring and ensuring the security of the software, they created an intuitive application and landing page that I needed. I was not disappointed. Their programmers met my expectations at every stage of product design and implementation.

We started with a meeting where we discussed the roles and scope of activities. We have also selected a team to deal with our project. The team swiftly started to act. Programmers from Da Vinci Studio updated our project, programmed and launched a dedicated application for students and clients of dance schools that use the Swiplo system.

In addition, they created an intuitive landing page for us, which contains all the information about the system we offer for dance schools and the mobile application. They worked with sprints, and the task was set up with my team on a regular basis.

We were supported by developers: Frontend, Backend, React, Devops and Project Manager.

We have created a system for managing dance schools. Importantly, each employee of a given school (manager, owner, reception, instructor) has defined functions in the system and a fixed hourly rate. Thanks to this, the system itself calculates the payouts for the hours worked.

Additionally, it enables the creation of statistics and financial reports. Thanks to the application, customers can sign up for another class or workshop on their phone! We have also created a separate account for the parent, who can easily and legibly check whether the child has an active pass for classes and, if necessary, pay for it.

Communication was at the highest level. All our requests were met. Most often we communicated via e-mail, telephone and personal meetings at the Da Vinci Studio headquarters. Importantly, they delivered the project to us on time and within the set budget.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

"I like their process of operation and open communication, but what I find most impressive is their commitment. I felt that a team of professionals was working on my project, who wanted to provide me with a great end product, tailored to my expectations.

The website was prepared based on the WordPress system. For cooperation, I was invited to participate in workshops that precisely defined my needs and expectations regarding the final project. Then, initial assumptions and proposals were presented, and after their approval, the project was started.

The whole thing went very smoothly, the developers, after completing the individual stages of work, presented reports on activities, and the project manager assigned to this implementation took care of efficient communication and implementation of corrections.

Designing a user-friendly website, and at the same time containing all the necessary technological solutions, allowed for an effective advertising campaign that I was running. The website allowed for the effective presentation of the product offer, and as a result, to achieve the assumed goals of the advertising campaign.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

All works were carried out by the assumed schedule. Together with the entire project team, we were in constant e-mail and telephone contact. I received a comprehensive answer to each of my questions, and in case of doubts, I was presented with possible scenarios for further action. I rate the cooperation with the Da Vinci team as one of the best in my work so far.

Communication and style of conversation and all cooperation. Da Vinci Studio was oriented towards customer development, and they fully adapted to our expectations and needs. Additionally, thanks to their business experience and the development of startups, they perfectly understand the marketing and sales aspects.

We hired Da Vinci Studio to create a tool in which parents will be able to set a menu of meals for their children eating at schools. The process was supposed to be intuitive and simple. At the end of the month, we wanted the parent to receive a list of all ordered dishes with a link to a quick payment.

The tool enables designated persons (parents, guardians) to define the menu for the following days. People using the browser application can order meals for their children. We created an application which provides automation and maximum simplification. It was installed on the tablet at the place where meals were served.

Information about the ordered dish for a specific child is collected by the QRcode scanner. Used technology: TypeScript, Angular, Docker, Symfony, PHP, Cypress, React Native, Api Platform.

Automating the process of dispensing meals has made it easier to determine what meal should be served to a given child. In addition, the system, based on order lists, generates lists of meals that must be prepared or ordered by the kitchen along with the amount that will be needed for a given day.

The application introduces a number of innovations that simplify the process of ordering meals, settling payments and servicing school canteens. The next stage of implementation is the introduction of this solution to as many schools as possible and sale in the SaaS system.

They were always on schedule, productive and reliable. We had contact through mail, slack, video calls and occasionally we met in person. Everything went well. Working with Da Vinci Studio was a good experience.

Before starting the work, we agreed what needs the system should meet from a business and marketing point of view and on that basis we created all the requirements.

From the very first meeting, Da Vinci Studio helped us in making a perfect strategy and then they started working quickly on that project. The whole process went smoothly which we are very happy about.

Thanks to the implementation of the CRM system, we can easily manage all the necessary information, which saves the work time of the marketing team and sales. Used technologies: Symfony 5, Api platform, Docker, Behat, Php spec, Angular, Node, Cypress.

Da Vinci Studio made our CRM system the way in which it perfectly fits our needs. Currently, the system is fully operational. Its flexibility makes it possible to add planned marketing activities and various features based on sales which are previously analyzed.

The most important effects for us are: a consistent knowledge base about the contractors, improvement of planned activities, improvement of control over the work quality and work efficiency.

I’m a project manager for a program for helping individual players, parents, and clubs with learning the soccer methodology. We mainly organize camps during holidays and at the end of them, we choose the best players and reward them with trips to famous clubs for trials. 

What challenge were you trying to address with Da Vinci Studio?

We initially went to them to host our website and to develop software for our camp participants. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

Da Vinci Studio developed a dedicated web portal for player enrollment. It takes in all the player information that we need. After working on that, we had Da Vinci Studio create software for the Polish and Ukrainian markets which is aimed at individual coaches and clubs. It’s a paid software and it presents our entire training philosophy, training sessions, a soccer library, articles about training and the mental aspect of the sport, etc. One very important part of the software is a tool for measuring a player’s level through the use of a graphic chart that takes their age into account.

I believe one of the coding languages used is C++. They also developed a smartphone application for both Android and iOS platforms. 

What is the team composition?

I’m not sure how many people were assigned, but we were mainly in touch with Wojciech (Owner & CEO, Da Vinci Studio), who assigned the work to his employees. When he was unavailable, we’d get in touch with one of 3–4 other people, depending on what we needed. I’d say there were around five people involved.

How did you come to work with Da Vinci Studio?

My boss was in charge of hiring them. Our previous provider left us and we weren’t able to find anyone new. While we were searching, someone introduced my boss to Da Vinci Studio. They understood our views and philosophy, which is why we didn’t look at any other companies.

The website was a simple task, and I think many other companies could’ve done it, but we were also thinking about the software for coaches and clubs at that point. It was and still is a huge undertaking, and many of the people we approached about the project didn’t understand it correctly. Wojciech understood what we wanted to create from the beginning and gave us a lot of good advice from an IT perspective. Secondly, we chose them because of their portfolio. They were working with many other companies, and all of those gave them huge ratings.

How much have you invested with them?

I wasn’t in charge of the financial part, but I believe this project is at around €100,000–€150,000 (approximately $111,305– $166,958 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Da Vinci Studio in December 2015, and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The software we’ve made might be too largescale for clubs, however, Da Vinci Studio told us when they thought a feature was unnecessary. In general, we’ve done a good job and even the people in an international football association told us this when we showed them the software. The tool we’ve created gives them a lot of options in the training area.

Overall, the collaboration with Da Vinci Studio has been positive and we’re happy about how our products look. Right now, everyone using our software appreciates it and we haven’t received any bug reports, which means that we haven’t had to call Da Vinci Studio to fix anything.

How did Da Vinci Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Da Vinci Studio gave me access to a tracking tool where I can check the status of the development tasks and see who is responsible for each one. It made it easy for me to check the status of the project. Their team also used this tool for internal communication, so if someone there needed more information about a graphical element, for example, they could ask about it there. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The collaboration has been great from my side. If I have a problem or don’t understand something, they always explain things clearly. This is very important for me as a project manager since I don’t understand a lot about IT solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should be stricter with us at times, as we tend to have our heads in the clouds and come up with too many ideas. However, Da Vinci Studio tried to create everything we came up with. They could’ve let us know when something wasn’t worth it. Wojciech was always trying to do everything we wanted, and he should’ve said no at times.

I am the CEO of the Aplikuj.pl web portal, which allows you to publish offers to employers and employment agencies and for candidates to view current job offers from the country and abroad. Thanks to the effective reach of job seekers and entrepreneurs, we have over 3,000,000 page views per month and over 1,000,000 unique users per month and these numbers are constantly growing!

The application also allows you to view league leaderboards. In the future, we plan to use it as a live coverage tool. The application is completely free.

Guys spent few weeks studying our business process, existing SaaS and website. They came back with draft architecture proposal, which we discussed within few round of calls. When development started, we had our manager in charge who was the major touch point for us. Coordination was done via TeamWork as well as regular calls. We had decent time for testing and debugging the results.
