We are a DC government agency, and we handle a variety of tasks, including outreach on behalf of the chairman.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cyberstorm Digital?

For a few years, we hosted a training summit for organizations that help low-income people with heating assistance. We put together a forum that brought in speakers from outside organizations that provide assistance to district residents, and we engaged Cyberstorm to livestream the event.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their team really took care of everything. They set up their cameras ahead of time, ensured that our bandwidth was appropriately robust to support the livestream, and then they filmed the event over the course of the evening.

We gave them a general outline of the program and then told them what we needed, and from there they used their expertise to determine how to set up the shoot in order to make sure we got what we needed, from angles to volume levels and everything in between.

What is the team composition?

There were three individuals from Cyberstorm that worked with us on the project.

How did you come to work with Cyberstorm Digital?

They came to us from a recommendation by another association that we are affiliated with. We reached out to them to see if this was something they could handle, and they were able to take fulfill what we needed.

What is the status of this engagement?

They helped us with two events before we changed the format, which lasted from October 2017–October 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any direct numbers to share, but the project was a significant improvement over 2016, where the stream was somewhat spotty and had a lot of lag time. When we partnered with Cyberstorm, the stream went through seamlessly, and there was no lag or interruption during the program. We viewed that as a really significant success.

How did Cyberstorm Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Our teams had two meetings with them prior to the event in which we outlined what we wanted, and they told us what they needed to accomplish what we were looking for. On the day of the event, they were here early and stayed through until everything was completed, so we were completely satisfied with their management of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This was my first time dealing with this type of service provider, but I really feel like I couldn’t have asked for anything else. They did everything we needed and more.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there really was no room for improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are professionals and they know their business. As long as you are able to outline the parameters of what it is you need, then they will be able to accomplish it.
