We use Curral to provide services for Acqsys Supply Chain Solutions Ltd, Roll Cage Rental Ltd and Variation Holdings Ltd. I am the group chairman. All the companies are involved in various ways in reducing costs and wasteful use of natural resources in the supply chain across the retail, food service and healthcare sectors.
For what projects/services did your company hire Curral?
We formed Acqsys Supply Chain Solutions and, subsequently, Roll Cage Rental, in response to the ubiquitous problem of lost and stolen transit assets and, in most cases, our growth came from contacts within the logistics arena.
It soon became clear that we can play a critical role in preventing the unnecessary loss and destruction of perfectly good assets but getting that message out there is no easy task.
Rather than taking on staff, we engaged Curral to target people and businesses who would not only wish to save costs but also have an interest in sustainability and the waste of natural resources. Curral effectively act as our sales team and achieve the desired result at a fraction of the cost of employing staff.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to become the pre-eminent supplier of asset recovery services in the UK and to build a reputation as proponents of the circular economy, helping to reduce wasteful use of natural resources and proving that it's possible to be profitable and sustainable at the same time.
How did you select Curral?
A bit of luck really. We heard about Tom's lead generation business through a mutual contact and decided to check it out. After a trial period we signed up and have been using Curral ever since.
Describe the project in detail.
We sat down with Tom to explain what our various businesses involved and decided to focus on one at a time, so as to keep the message clear. We jointly agreed the message and the approach and simply let Tom and the team get started.
In the early days, there was only one charging model but that has become more sophisticated, with clients having the choice of simple lead generation and wider follow up services. We use Curral to follow up further on leads.
What was the team composition?
In the early days, its was Tom and Ryan, dealing with me. Over time, other members of Curral have become involved but the service has been maintained.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are now the largest asset recovery company in the country and our sustainability message is spreading. As we come up with new ideas we switch Curral's focus to new people and sectors.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Lot's of drive and enthusiasm and, in particular, the team doesn't hesitate to tell us when we might be confusing the market.
Are there any areas for improvement?
It can be a difficult task so not every campaign is a roaring success. However, if the message is not of interest to people, that's the fault of the original concept, not the method, and I don't think Curral could have done a better job across the different campaigns.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Digiruu, an app development company. We develop apps for other businesses to help them grow and scale faster.
What challenge were you trying to address with Curral?
We were struggling with lead generation. Since we weren’t familiar with best practices, we were wasting a lot of money and time over a period of 2–3 years. That’s why we turned to Curral.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Curral developed a comprehensive lead generation strategy to improve our sales metrics.
Tom (CEO) first came to our offices to understand what we were trying to do, what going wrong, and what’s going right. The idea was to understand what my business goals were in detail. He wasn’t trying to sell me any solution but, rather, the right one.
Once he had all that information, he created a strategy for us. He was so confident that it would work that he offered a two-week free trial. We got two high-quality leads from that, which was incredible.
They then did our LinkedIn lead generation. Not only did they do the initial outreach, but they also did the nurturing and set them into our sales cycle. Tom significantly contributed to our sales process, too, making sure that it was optimized and well-structured.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve made a huge impact on our business. We finally have a reliable LinkedIn lead generation channel where I don’t have to worry about anything. It saves me a bunch of time and money, and I’ve seen a significant ROI.
We’re doing what we always wanted to do, which is to build our company and have it generate a consistent income.
How did Curral perform from a project management standpoint?
They delivered on time and in budget, sometimes even helping out on weekends. Ryan handled everything for me, but Tom was my go-to point of contact. Tom went the extra mile and was always there if we needed anything.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They really understood what our goals were and pitched the solution that we needed rather than the one that they wanted us to have. They built trust and credibility with the free trial, too.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, and I wouldn’t go to anyone else.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t hide anything — just be straight with them, and they will know how to best help you. Tell them everything you’ve done in the past and the mistakes you’ve made when it comes to lead generation and what works. It will really help them craft the best solution for you.

We looked for companies that could handle the data processing requirements but were also capable of doing the "thinking" task of identifying the opportunities from raw information sources. Many of these types of businesses are process driven and we required a more intelligent approach.

We work to identify opportunities for business among mainstream news sources and require the contact details for the companies and individuals needed. The project also includes identifying other businesses that have synergies with our own in other markets and connecting with them to begin a relationship or conversation.

Initially there were some teething problems as with any project but this was dealt with quickly and effectively. They are very good at understanding and accommodating our requirements
