A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Please describe your organization.
We operate a Christian website with over 10,000 free online resource materials. We produce around 1,000 new items each year and work through donations.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Creed Interactive?
We have a daily devotional product consisting of 365 short readings which we wanted to put in app form. We had already built an iOS version, but we wanted to mimic the same design structure on Android.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
Creed Interactive built our Android app, reproducing the iOS version precisely. It is a simple, document-viewing app.
How did you come to work with Creed Interactive?
We looked at several vendors and chose Creed Interactive because I knew their owner, and they were a local company.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
The total cost was around $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2012. The app was finished within three months.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
Creed Interactive completed the project successfully. The end-product was what we wanted it to be, and the process of getting there was enjoyable. They were good in terms of communicating and integrating with our team. They didn't simply go into a hole, finish the product, and reemerge. We're satisfied with both the product and the process.
The app has been popular. It has accumulated 150,000 downloads and has a good ranking in the store.
How did Creed Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a direct connection with Creed Interactive's developer. That person was communicative, so it was nice not to go through an intermediary. The developer we spoke with was open to feedback and quick to respond.
What distinguishes Creed Interactive from other providers?
They work with the client, and they’re not so big a company as to overwhelm us with systems and bureaucracy. Creed Interactive gave us a direct connection to their team, making them great for medium-sized projects. They have enough infrastructure in order to support us, but not so much as to keep us waiting.
Is there anything Creed Interactive could have improved or done differently?
No. They did a great job. It was a simple and straightforward project too.
The app has had 150,000 downloads and a good ranking in the app store. Creed Interactive successfully completed the project according to scope. The team provided good communication, encouraged feedback, was responsive, and integrated well with the in-house team throughout the engagement.
