Digital Marketing Strategy for Financial Service Company
"They’re very personable, and they’re always there to help out."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital marketing manager at 365 Business Finance. We provide financing for small to medium-sized businesses in the U.K.
What challenge were you trying to address with Copy House?
We didn’t have any content on the website, social media, or email marketing at all.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us with content ideas and strategy. We talked about what type of articles or pieces we want to put out there delineated by sector. We have pubs, restaurants, cafes, florists, and hotels that we work with. We looked at the strategy by target sectors. They helped with putting together some of the content ideas for each sector.
They did two blog articles for us per month plus SEO keyword research and writing articles for us. They also drafted quite a few different social media posts we could use to promote those blog pieces. They’re still doing content for us each month.
What is the team composition?
I worked primarily with their account manager. I also had contact with at least one of their copywriters.
How did you come to work with Copy House?
They reached out to us via LinkedIn. They sent a portfolio of their work. The quality of the content we saw from them was our deciding factor.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent £6,000–£7,000 (approximately $7,958–$9,284).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2019, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We didn’t really have any content going out to begin with. We saw at least an 80% increase in the traffic coming to our website because of the blog pieces, social media content, and email marketing. Social media engagement went up as well.
How did Copy House perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is excellent. They’re always in communication. They always met our expectations and deadlines. It was perfect.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very personable, and they’re always there to help out. Even going through the pandemic, they’re still there and helped create free content for us. It was exceptional and outstanding.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything to suggest. Everything has been running really well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Sit down and make sure you have the initial call to run through the strategy and be sure there’s clear communication as to what you expect. I have no doubt they will meet those expectations.

Content Marketing for Web & App Development Company
"The team are very professional while being extremely friendly throughout the process."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a founding director of GearedApp, a tech for good app and web development company. We design, build and support digital solutions to clients of various sectors, but B2B and B2C.
For what projects/services did your company hire Copy House?
We were looking for a partner to help us produce well written, targetted and SEO friendly content for us on a regular basis. Our internal marketing was limited and we recognised the need for quality content online, including articles, case studies and blogs. This was an area that we were struggling to keep up with ourselves, and we needed to boost our SEO and online presence.
What were your goals for this project?
We were looking to increase the amount of quality content we were producing in order to improve our SEO, online visibility, and also demonstrate thought leadership as an organisation.
How did you select Copy House?
We searched online for potential partners, and looked at potentially upskilling in-house or hiring freelancers. We had been recommended Copy House by a close contact, and having spoken to them we felt they would be an excellent fit.
Unlike other agencies and freelancers we spoke to, Copy House have a particular niche in tech, which is something some copywriters have struggled with in the past.
They also share similar values to us around communication, the sort of companies they work with, and their approach. We liked the fact that they can conduct interviews with your clients, research technologies and do the research and groundwork for content. In the end, it seemed like the best option for us allround.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
After we chose Copy House, they organised a meeting with us to scope out our needs, how much content we would need, and start fleshing out content ideas going forward.
This led us to establish a monthly agreed retainer of work that they would produce, and discuss the process for how we would go about that. We signed up on the basis of 2 content pieces being produced monthly, with the potential to supplement this with case studies or other pieces of content if required.
Copy House proceeded to produce a content calendar, and provide outlines of content ideas, target audience, key words for each. We then selected our preferred pieces, and Copy House writers started work on research, interviews and writing. This is then reviewed on a regular basis between us.
What was the team composition?
The team comprised of Kathryn, company director, Kuba, account manager, and various writers depending on the piece of work. Kathryn was involved at the start of the relationship, discussing how they work and making sure everything was set up to run smoothly.
Thereafter she handed over to Kuba, who has checked in with me regularly throughout the process and always makes sure content is produced on time and to the correct standard. If an interview is required in order to complete an article or case study, Kubu will arrange this with the team and always goes out of his way to make sure that they have what they need.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since we started working with Copy House a few months ago, we have had a massive improvement in the quality and consistency of our blogs and articles. We went from sporadic blogs with poor SEO produced ad-hoc inhouse, to regularly outputting at least 2 articles a month.
Website traffic has consistently improved, and we have had a positive response to many of the articles shared.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication and workflow has been consistently good throughout. The content calendar is shared with a google sheet so we are on the same page, and we have regular meetings via video call.
Kuba often sends over outlines to review before content is written, and once a draft is ready it is shared with us for comments. Any feedback is dealt with swiftly from the team. It almost feels as though they are part of the team.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I have been consistently impressed with the communication from Copy House, and their ability to write content about particularly complex subjects, such as development methodologies or technologies, with minimal input from our team.
It has been such a relief to be able to briefly discuss topics and ideas, then to receive a well-researched article on the subject, fully SEO optimised within a matter of days. The team are very professional while being extremely friendly throughout the process.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We introduced a bottleneck when our team were slow to provide feedback, so we had a build-up of content and some confusion over content timelines.
Kuba and the team have already suggested providing a google sheets based dashboard so we can track content more easily, which I think will be a great idea. Asides from that I couldn't fault them so far.
