GarajPro is a web & mobile communication and loyalty platform for Vehicle Repair & Maintenance Professionals of Henkel. Built for partners, garages, and Henkel Sales Team; GarajPro consists of professional training, sales and reward tracking tools, special campaigns, live communication tools and a loyalty module. The app is launched in 15 languages and will be used by Henkel shareholders around 18 countries of EEIMEA Region.

Entrapeer is a web-only match-making platform between enterprises and startups aiming to make innovation more seamless by extracting use cases from startups’ past projects and other data. We partnered with Mercedes-Benz Turkey to build an online consultancy platform for their high-end customers. With our video calling software, we created a system that will connect the potential customers to the right sales representatives. We are now taking this system to the global market to provide the service for customers around the globe. What’s more, the end goal is to take the service to the next level by integrating the real time interaction tool into the maintenance and repair operations. It allows users to answer questions and get free internet usage in return. Users can purchase jokers for small fees and continue playing if they give a wrong answer. A payment system is integrated into the game. Cool Digital's developer team has worked on the back-end to enhance the game's performance and integrate new types of jokers. The game reached 2M users only in 3 months.

Hyundai took this problem seriously and created online showrooms! For what projects/services did your company hire Cool Digital Solutions, and what were your goals?
We hired Cool Digital Solutions for the development of our web-based application and the CMS to manage the platform. We are building this project to address the success stories of startups with the enterprises who are looking for solutions in a specific field. The project consists of a web application and its custom Content Management System (CMS). Web-app is where enterprise members can search for specific problems and see how it’s solved by other enterprises by the help of innovative startups. Also, the other way around, startups can get inspired by what’s being solved by other startups all over the world and how it’s done. We developed an AI-based engine that interprets the data and calculates matching scores of the enterprise’s query and startup’s value offering.
We are aware that users’ need for details might differ. To solve this, we are communicating the solution from different perspectives such as themes, news, evidence and solutions. These contents contain all details about the use case that the startup has created; from problem and solution to the PoC requirements and environmental impact of it. All content is prepared by the copywriters of Entrapeer and logged into the system using the custom-built CMS. Solution-seekers can schedule a call with the Entrapeer team or directly with the startup at one click. Submitted solutions and evidence must be verified by the relevant people; so it’s sent to verification and they shall be published after all sections are verified.
Another value proposition Entrapeer offers is the Cross-Pollination Reports. The Entrapeer team analyzes each evidence and defines the problems they might solve for other companies. Then they take the solution offerings to the enterprises that might benefit from it, which leads to new partnerships and great value for both sides.

There were 5 people in the team: a project manager, project manager assistant, two frontend developers, and a backend developer.

Beta version of the project went live very quickly and all elements were the same as we designed. We were able to add evidence and see our plans in action at each step. Thanks to that, we had a chance to work on the flow of the application and make it better for our first users.

We had periodical meetings with the technical team and the project management team, both together and separately. With burndown charts, we logged each task and made detailed time plans. This helped us to know what’s done and what’s coming, so we were able to make future plans easier.

At a creator’s room, fans can start general or content-specific threads to create deeper connections with the creator him/herself or the fan community. There’s a leaderboard where most-interacted creator takes the first place. When fans want to subscribe to a creator, they go to his/her profile and makes in-app payment to immediately see the exclusive content.

We prepared learning various “games” with our experts, categorized under the talents that should be improved. Every child can use it individually or with a supervisor when needed. It’s a unique product in the market with its effective games and proven results.

Cool Digital Solutions is our trusted partner in this project. We have started from scratch and now my idea has become a real, live platform. The most important thing in this is to provide a smooth experience. We have developed the solution to be easily-adaptable and efficient so that every customer segment is able to use it.

All team members took the project seriously and were dedicated to their jobs. The process was working like a clock. Of course, we had some minor issues but this is software so they are very normal. What’s most important is that the issues were solved in no time. They are patient and experienced, so it was easy to work with them.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a photo-sharing platform, which allows users to broadcast a picture or short video with text. It’s similar to public journalism, but more broad. I developed the company from the idea stage all the way to developing the prototype.
What challenge were you trying to address with Cool Digital Solutions?
I needed a partner who could help me actually build out the platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Cool Digital Solutions helped me take the platform from an idea to a prototype. After our initial discussions, they immediately put together a small team, who presented me with a couple of design mockups for the frontend. Once I selected one, they got to work on building out the backend.
The team developed all the features, including mapping arrangements and other functionalities I required. The platform is compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows, and Cool Digital Solutions also built out a website for my product.
Additionally, the team found and helped me prepare for a summit with only a few companies from Turkey participating. I was able to present my application at the summit, which helped me open up a global channel for my business.
What is the team composition?
I worked with five people in total. We had one person in charge of the frontend design, as well as two others involved with backend development. I also had someone to assist me with the presentation, and the owner of the company who ran lead on the whole project.

What is the status of this engagement?
Our initial discussions began in 2015. The actual work started in 2016, and I paused the idea in March 2019 because I decided to devote my investment with my other firm, so the project is on hold for now.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
One of the important things for me was that they delivered what I was looking for. We had some KPIs in terms of quarterly targets, and we achieved those targets on time and without issues. I was quite happy as their customer.
The platform is still there and when I am ready to invest again, we will recharge things. If I am going to do that, it will be with Cool Digital Solutions.
How did Cool Digital Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We were in touch every day for 10 or 15 minutes and they caught me up on what had been accomplished. They kept me in the loop constantly. It was done in a very agile way. I gave them a vision of what I wanted, and they were able to develop the whole thing from the concept.
To keep in touch and track the project, we used WhatsApp and Trello. After a certain point, we decided phone calls were sufficient since we worked in the same location, so we didn’t feel a need for project management tools.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were very effective in terms of communication and keeping me abreast of what was happening. I think that was the most important aspect of our engagement. They managed the project exceptionally, which made me very happy.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We could’ve done some things in a more structured format, but I know, especially in terms of a startup, the most important thing is to bring results rather than build a bureaucracy. Also, they could benefit from expanding more globally.

Describe what you want and involve Cool Digital Solutions as early as possible. They have their own ideas and they develop a lot of creativity internally. They provided me with ideas which have changed the concept of my product. They were able to expand on my original vision and broaden my product’s capabilities.
