Short Round Supply
Short Round Supply Company was funded by a couple of gun nerds, who also happen to be slightly nerdy in general. What they find the gun industry lacks for the most part is quite simply summed up in one word. Relatability. The modern firearms enthusiast isn’t like the gun owners of yesteryear. Chances are, you didn’t grow up shooting on Papaw’s farm every summer after you finished milking the cows and shearing sheep. More likely, you grew up playing Splinter Cell, Call of Duty, and maybe even Metal Gear Solid. You watched terrorists attack our Country on 9/11, and answered the call to arms. You may have never handled a firearm, or grew up in a household fundamentally opposed to guns, but now you see the value in being able to protect yourself. Or maybe, just maybe, you shoot for nothing more than the pure enjoyment of hitting the target and the smell of burnt gunpowder. Basically, you’re unique, and want a shopping experience to match you’re unique situation.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the sales and marketing manager for Vogue Hospitality, a lighting fixtures, furniture, and equipment company for hotels and motels.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
Our website was very outdated and we were looking to build something more complex than a WordPress site. We wanted the site to serve online merchants as well, so we connected with Commerce Pundit.
What was the scope of their involvement?
My company began developing the website several years before I was brought on, but they stopped in the middle of the engagement. The owner of our company knew exactly what he wanted, and shared his thoughts with Commerce Pundit.
They used Magento to build an e-commerce website from scratch that met our business needs. They also handled content and SEO, and they helped us find the right hosting company.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 5–6 people from Commerce Pundit, including a project manager, designers, and developers.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
We found them through word of mouth.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of the project was above $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the recent phase of the project in April 2020, and the site went live a few months later in August.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Commerce Pundit turned our vision into a reality. Although the site is new and we don’t have any metrics, they did everything properly. We just hired a marketing company, and they plan to collect feedback from our clients and prospects.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
They were excellent. Commerce Pundit was there around the clock. Even if I called them late at night, I was able to get someone to help me. They delivered everything in a timely manner.
We used Basecamp to manage the project and had weekly phone calls. We also had intermittent calls in-between our weekly meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re strong on the project management side, and their designers work very well with each other. As a client, I didn’t have to worry about something getting lost in translation. Once we discussed an issue with the project manager, they took care of it immediately and executed it exactly the way we wanted. There were no communication gaps.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. I had an excellent experience.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should make sure that they have everything ready before connecting with Commerce Pundit. They should have a clear vision and know exactly what they need. Before beginning the project, they should draw a map covering their expectations, the features they want, and the timeframe in which they expect Commerce Pundit to deliver.

Magento Web Design for Flooring & Cabinetry Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the website manager of Lake Street Home. We primarily specialize in flooring but also sell cabinetry and shower products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We needed to design a website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Commerce Pundit helped us start our e-commerce website from scratch. They initially helped us with the website’s overall design, so its look and feel. We reviewed websites in our industry to understand what would and wouldn’t work. Once they designed the pages, their team helped us organize everything in the website’s backend, such as inventory management, promotions, and credit card software. Their team also created the site map. They also helped us with Google search terms, keyword searches, and other promotional activities. We’re running on Magento.
What is the team composition?
We directly worked with 5–6 people from Commerce Pundit. Their team included a developer and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
Another vendor of ours referred us to them. We decided Commerce Pundit was a good fit because their initial proposal and prices were aggressive.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent probably between $25,000–$40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We collaborated on this project between December 2016–October 2017. It took that long because our team couldn’t dedicate all of our time to the project and missed tasks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Commerce Pundit is responsive to my needs in the event of an emergency. They solve problems related to our inventory, servers, or credit card processing. Their team will support an update or security patch too.
We’ve gotten good feedback on our website. Our team likes the website, especially its look and flow. The website also works fine. We had hang-ups with Magento unrelated to Commerce Pundit.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
During the project, we had weekly meetings that were collaborative in nature. They were always organized and always hit timelines. We used Basecamp to manage the day-to-day activities.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their responsiveness and competitive prices distinguished them from other providers.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of an area for improvement.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared and dedicate as much time as you can to make sure the project runs smoothly. Provide them with as much information as you can so their team has enough information to work with.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a canvas printing company that has an artwork selling platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
I needed help marketing the website because we’re in a crowded space.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Commerce Pundit designed and developed the front- and backend of our Shopify website. Although I had ideas, their team designed and conceptualized the platform’s look and feel. They provided different options and then we focused on one design. We worked collaboratively on the project and launched the website in May.
Their team also managed the project’s marketing aspects. They managed all of our social media accounts, creating posts and running social media marketing campaigns. Their team also ran paid ads on these accounts and directed campaigns on search engines.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about six people, including a project manager.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
We had colleagues who previously worked with Commerce Pundit and spoke positively about their experiences with the Commerce Pundit team.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together between February–May 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Commerce Pundit started the project and hit the numbers that we defined. Their team finished the website quicker than we estimated and did better than what they promised. I’m happy with the marketing as well.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was great. I would rate them 9 out of 10. We used Basecamp for most of our project management discussions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a quality team. Commerce Pundit consists of extensively knowledgeable developers and designers who can quickly execute projects.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of how they could improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Before you begin a project, it’s important that you outline a scope of work. That’s the most challenging part of any engagement. Once that’s done, they’re good at executing the project.

Middleware Software Dev for Cabinet Manufacturer
"They genuinely cared, and they wanted to make us happy."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the national operations director for a national brand of cabinetry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We were looking for an online sales platform that could take orders from our dealers and get those orders pushed to our ERP system.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Commerce Pundit developed a whole roadmap of how the process would work. They implemented Magento 2.0 and developed middleware custom software for us to take the orders from Magento and then get them into our ERP. We had an idea of what we were looking for.
We met with them and gave them our ideas, and they also made some suggestions. They had the experience of what works on the website and what things were already built-in, so we took some of their recommendations.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about 10 people. I closely worked with three people including someone who was in charge of the whole project, someone who had sales marketing experience, as well as a lead developer who was in charge of all the developers. Sometimes they would bring in other people from the team on a call.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
I had been working with a company based out of Chicago for about a year and a half on a project. We weren’t getting anywhere, and we were very dissatisfied with the progress we had made and the money we had spent.
One of my outside sales reps recommended Commerce Pundit. I had met with the owner who spoke to me about his history, experience, and past clients. He also showed me some documentation about what he could do, so I decided to give it a shot.
He flew out to Chicago to meet me and we talked about what we were going to do. He gave me a proposal and it was far cheaper than what the previous company was going to charge and the timeline was much faster.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in November 2019, and the system was live in August 2020. They were ready about a month prior to that.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The ability to take sales from the customers has been amazing. We saw a dramatic increase in sales just in our first month of using it. The customer no longer has to deal with a customer service representative to type the order in, send it back for their approval, and then send back the approval again.
They can now just put in the order themselves and that saves a lot of man-hours, time, and money. What they got done in the first six months of this project was far more than the previous company did in a year and a half. That really blew me away.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very good and they were very on top of things. They definitely let me know when I dropped the ball, and they pushed me, which I loved. They didn’t let me slip up. We did a lot through Basecamp. If we created a task, to-do list, or a general discussion hub in Basecamp, it converted everything to email.
I was able to reply to the email and on that day, it would get captured back into Basecamp automatically. I didn’t have to log into Basecamp to make these replies. I also texted the project manager, and I met with Commerce Pundit on Zoom or RingCentral every Monday and Thursday weekly throughout the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They genuinely cared, and they wanted to make us happy. They went above and beyond the scope of work just to ensure we were happy, and they didn’t nickel and dime us for every little thing they did.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they were quite good. I honestly can’t think of anything that was a drawback. They had a US operation, but some people were based in India, so sometimes the meetings had to be early for us or late for them. If I had one wish, it would be that they were completely US-based, but it didn’t really hinder the project at all.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared and know exactly what you want to do because they will deliver exactly what you tell them to. Don’t be vague; be specific about what you want. Their level of detail is extremely high, and they brought up things that I forgot I had mentioned. Document everything you want and they will get it done.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an e-commerce company that does signage and printing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We didn’t know how to go about selling things online, so we were looking for someone who could help with the website and marketing and help me understand how it all works.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Commerce Pundit developed our website on Magento and suggested e-commerce best practices. They optimized the website for Google and other marketing channels. The team also supported us with our marketing, doing SEO and Google Ads.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with several people, including their co-founders and project managers.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
They were interested in understanding my business and my ask and then providing a solution rather than just being a service provider, which is why I brought them. I also chose them because they had the web development and marketing capabilities.
How much have you invested with them?
Over time we’ve spent between $3 million–$4 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in October 2010, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Commerce Pundit was very helpful and guided us in terms of upgrading our technology and what needed to happen to ensure the smooth functioning and continuity of the platform.
We have a good platform, and we’ve been growing year-over-year (YoY) and they support a crucial element of our business, which is our website.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is the key to the relationship, and they’re very calm and responsive in their communication. We communicate via phone calls, emails, and video calls. We also have in-person meetings because part of our team is located not too far away from where Commerce Pundit is.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team understands the business needs and provides solutions based on that; it’s not a “one solution fits all” situation.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I have no suggestions. There’s constant feedback, and they always take it and improve to make sure that they support the business.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Define your ask before you get started because there is a wide range of solutions and products available. Make sure that Commerce Pundit understands your business and scope before you jump into the execution.

Website Maintenance & Dev for Dental Supplier & Manufacturer
“I’ve never experienced this level of responsiveness.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our company is ProDentUSA. We manufacture and supply dental instruments to dentists and practitioners around the world. My father started this business about 40 years ago, so we know the industry well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We just launched our website two years ago, and since then, we’ve been trying to make it as user-friendly as possible. We have also added e-commerce functionalities so that dentists can buy directly from our website.
We were unhappy with the person who designed and developed our website; they weren’t keeping up with the times, and we felt the website was lagging behind. There was too much back and forth without any results, so we knew we had to change providers. That’s where Commerce Pundit came in.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We signed them onto a monthly maintenance package. A lot of Commerce Pundit’s work has to do with security issues that weren’t being addressed but are very important, especially in this day and age. They take care of things on the backend that we can’t do ourselves and provide monthly maintenance of our firewalls and malware.
In addition to the monthly maintenance, they’ve been helping us to make a bunch of improvements to the website. For example, our server didn’t enable us to become PCI-compliant, which is really important for any e-commerce website that processes credit cards, so they migrated our server. We’ve just needed a lot of minor improvements to improve the user-friendliness of our website, such as the appearance of links on the site or the way certain carousels move around. All of these small things become one big project. This month, we have other projects lined up with them as well.
What is the team composition?
Whenever I have an issue or need to contact them for anything, I speak directly to our point of contact. Then, he works with a whole team of technicians and puts them on the project whenever I send anything. That team can contact me anytime, and they all work together. It’s a really efficient system because I just have to ask for something once, and they are all on top of it and get things back to me in such a timely fashion. It’s so different from how we were used to working before, so it’s refreshing to be able to rely on them for something as important as a functioning website.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
My sister has a similar company, and she had gotten their website redone by Commerce Pundit. She had really liked their work ethic, deliverability, and working with them overall, so I went ahead and contacted them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend about $250 on monthly maintenance, which is really accessible within our budget. They provide us with a set amount of hours. On top of that, we pay for the improvements that they make to the site.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work together began around January 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen page speed optimization, which is conducive to user-friendliness, getting more people onto our website, and ultimately achieving more conversions. Now, if we have a customer on the phone, we can very easily guide them through the website to get them where they need to be. We’ve gotten a lot more compliments on our website from customers since we started our work with Commerce Pundit.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
If I have something that needs to be done, I can send them an email or WhatsApp message. The time difference doesn’t matter; they’re super responsive. I can text our point of contact at any time, and he looks into it right away. Even on Sunday, when one of the monitoring systems that they put into place had some warnings, I texted them, and they followed up immediately. An hour or so later, they sent a full report on what was happening and how things were fixed and put into place. As somebody who wouldn’t be able to monitor the website in this way, it’s really important that I can reach out to them via text or email at literally anytime and get a quick response.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Having worked with developers here in the US, I’ve never experienced this level of responsiveness. Getting an answer out of my previous developers was really difficult, even though they were right down the road from us; we constantly had to contact them. The immediate response we get from Commerce Pundit is the type of thing you need in this fast-paced, virtual environment, where things can go down or back up so quickly.
You need a team that is spot on, and Commerce Pundit knows what they’re doing. When my sister recommended them, she let me know that they really know what they’re doing, and I have found that to be true. When issues come up, they know exactly what to do in order to fix them. Then, they provide reports that show they did everything that they needed to do and that even people who aren’t in this field, such as myself, can understand.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’ve been very happy with the way things have been working with them; everything has been very agreeable to us, even their price points. From my end, I don’t think there’s anything yet that I feel that they could do better. As a team, we work really well.
Any advice for potential customers?
In terms of communicating, it’s good to have things like screenshots and detailed information. That helps them get back to me very quickly and efficiently. Lay out exactly what you want on the website and how you want it so that they’re able to give you that immediate, positive response and start working from there.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
About six years ago, I created a startup with our current CEO. I came from a strong print background, and he is from the entertainment industry. We print and produce passes, bag tags, and other plastic products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We hired Commerce Pundit to revamp the third iteration of our website, but we also needed more control over the e-commerce features. The connection between sales and production weren’t as streamlined as they could be, containing many different technologies to process and order from start to finish.
What was the scope of their involvement?
In the beginning, it started with the beautification of the platform. We also needed a better integrated system of processes inside of one technology. Commerce Pundit pulled all of that together and put it under one hood. For printing and uploading templates and artwork, we needed a seamless and integrated way for clients to do this with additional options. We believed that would lead to more value in the long run. Their team migrated our previous platform using another technology base, with a variety of integrations and tools.
What is the team composition?
I personally dealt with four members of the team. I did see a lot of emails and correspondence within Basecamp, where up to 11 people were involved in conversations at times. We had two key project managers throughout the course of the project.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
During a Google search, I ran across Commerce Pundit. Our needs were a little different than others, probably because of the uniqueness involved in uploading files and other elements. One of their websites caught my eye, so I hit the contact form.
Amanda (CMO, Commerce Pundit) contacted me the next day. From there, we vetted through the sales process. I’m a slow sell, so we ended up interviewing five total companies before boiling it down to three. We decided on Commerce Pundit because of their comfort level, reasonable pricing, and background in technology. Since everything lined up well, they were the clear leader.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent around $70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Commerce Pundit from November 2018–July 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
While this isn’t a fault of theirs, we were hoping to launch sooner, but there were changes and decisions to be made on our side. For some things, we went in a different direction. We still have different phases of the project to go and updates to be made. That’s the beauty of an ongoing relationship with Commerce Pundit.
From the first 30 days of having the site up, we’ve had less customer service interaction involving orders and volumes are higher. We’re ending SEO services with our current provider, and are beginning to engage with Commerce Pundit for that as well. There’s been a huge difference in the order process in general. Users can easily be taken into each different phase and finding everything quickly, without any intervention from us.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management style was exceptional. The entire scope of the project was very well put forward; there was an ease of operation on both sides as far as understanding what’s next. Their team exhibited strong communication skills and promptness. They also met deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Commerce Pundit performed beyond our expectations and imagination. They brought us to an entirely different level. Their work ethic is also impressive. Their team can communicate technical ideas in a way that’s easy to understand. They’ve done an excellent job keeping the ball moving.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only thing that I wish was done better involved the initial documentation. The understanding document went through and looked at our current processes. It set up what additions, suggestions, and technologies would better correct those processes. From that document to the scope of work, it had a few things that weren’t included. We have the responsibility to make sure the scope of work did cover everything that we needed to be done but didn’t vet. That part is on us. This might be an improvement for them in the future as they continue to grow. But as far as the rest of the engagement, there were no other negatives.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Buckle up and get ready. If you’re going to be engaging with Commerce Pundit, be prepared for blast off.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of sales and operations at Mia Prints, Inc.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We hired Commerce Pundit for SEO and optimizing a website to increase its rating on Google. They also were in charge of several minor fixings.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We brought their team onboard and showed them what we were working with. Commerce Pundit came up with a detailed outline, going into what our websites needed. Initially, the project was for three websites, but we ended up not having the budget. We ultimately decided to have them focus on one of our newer sites. They targeted keywords, seeing what we wanted to improve and create a game plan around that. Their team made structural changes to the site. We didn’t need extensive changes because our business was running at full-force. They made minor changes to critical areas that were holding us back in terms of SEO.
What is the team composition?
I primarily worked with Hiren (CEO, Commerce Pundit), and then we had one other contact who handled the entire team. Hiren was in charge of billings and making sure tasks were being appropriately conducted, following the scope of work.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
We used to be in the business of canvas printing. During that time, Commerce Pundit sent out a market study that discussed how they improved one of our competitor’s ability to gain customers through organic searches. We’ve known about them since then. Later on, we needed a vendor that performs SEO services. Their name came up in conversation, and we gave Commerce Pundit a shot.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested anywhere between $5,000–$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Commerce Pundit from March–May 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Overall, our rank on Google did rise. We’re showing up on the 4th and 5th pages, which is a drastic difference. SEO isn’t a process that can be gauged within a few months. What we’re seeing is great, but in order to see the best performance, the services have to be consistent for a year or year and a half. We did see excellent results, but if we had more time and resources, we would’ve seen a bigger impact.
The main reason we’re not working with Commerce Pundit now is not because of their work quality, but we had issues internally with budgeting. There’s also been a significant change in the industry with tax rules in the US, so we’ve cut back on several projects. Their work is excellent, but it’s a great expense for any business month to month. Unfortunately, issues like that come straight from the top.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
We used this online service that provides live updates of what’s being worked on. Commerce Pundit kept the process organized. The service allowed them to leave notes, keep track of what task is being completed, and helped streamline follow-ups. Because of the time difference, we also used WhatsApp. The online system allowed us to follow their process, despite being in a different time zone. Everything worked out with the tools used, and everything was kept on pace.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Commerce Pundit has an excellent team. I highly recommend them to my friends who have more established businesses and want to pursue SEO. I would tell anyone that this work takes time. Results don’t happen within a month or two; it is long-term work. Clients need to make sure that they plan financially and gather the right amount of funding. The tools we used were easy to follow along with and kept everything on track. Throughout the engagement, we knew what was being completed and what the scope of work was because it was clearly outlined. A lot of times with SEO, customers think work is supposed to go a certain way. In this case, what’s in the contract is what goes.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think it’s been good. I’m always going to say the price is something that they could work. But the quality of work is worth the price. Also, if Commerce Pundit wants to reach more customers, I would recommend a lower price point or lessen some services to have a more reasonable price. That would help other customers reap the benefits.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I operate the international websites for Capezio, one of the oldest dance brands in the world. We've manufactured dance products for 130 years.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We needed help with the development of a new e-commerce website. We wanted it to have a different look and feel from our other sites.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Commerce Pundit developed an e-commerce site built on Magento. That particular site is no longer live but, it had the capacity to process multi-currency transactions. It also had a translator functionality. We gave them some direction for what we wanted, and they provided advice on how to make the final product.
For our second project, we needed a website for the Asian market. Because the e-commerce site was no longer in use, we asked them to reskin that site and turn it into our Asia-focused site. Commerce Pundit still supports and maintains that site. Recently they helped address some technical errors around multi-currency and translations.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with five different people throughout the relationship, including the owner.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
A colleague found them and reached out to the owner about working together.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $50,000 at this point.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2014. The first e-commerce site took roughly six months. The site for our Asian market was just a reskinning and took only a few months. Now we’re under more of a maintenance contract.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Commerce Pundit got the job done well and within budget. Their timeline was great. They were really on top of things. They understood our needs and what we wanted to get live. It was quite a successful project.
There was clear and steady growth when the e-commerce site went live. Customers were able to transact and work with the site easily. The speed was good. We shut it down due to business decisions, not performance issues.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team is so good. They have no problem with pinging me if I owe them something. It's easy to forget about something when you're involved in a lot of projects, but they're on top of everything. We had very few problems with Commerce Pundit compared to working with other developers. We mostly use Skype and email to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Commerce Pundit is reasonable, negotiable, and qualified.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't have anything negative to say. In my experience, they’re on top of every request. They’re super accommodating.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear about what you want. They want to deliver whatever it is that you request, so their work will only be as good as you articulate.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a wholesale clothing company. We have a retail site and we work with a lot of marketplaces.
What challenge were you trying to address with Commerce Pundit?
We needed a company to develop our e-commerce site.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed the e-commerce site from scratch using Magento. One SKU (stock-keeping unit) has multiple items like colors and size variations. When users type in the main SKU, the box pops up to be filled in regarding those variations. They used Magento. It was completed in three to four months.
We now have three sites with them and continue working with them to change things, add features, etc.
What is the team composition?
We work with seven or more people. Our person who handles the account has been the same for some time.
How did you come to work with Commerce Pundit?
I found them online. There was a sales rep that I talked to for about six months before we signed up with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $40,000 or more.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2014, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’re very knowledgeable. Sometimes I come up with ideas and then find that they’ve already worked on what I was thinking of. They work with a lot of companies in similar industries, so they know Magento very well. The work they’ve done is reliable and functional. People ask me about who has developed our site, which shows how well received it's been.
How did Commerce Pundit perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re overseas, yet they’re available in the middle of the night or late evenings to talk to us. We’ve had five people that we speak with on the phone. We have weekly meetings during project time, and their communication is very good. We also use Basecamp and email. Generally, they do a good job with the workflow and timeline, and they’re trustworthy.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication via email is very prompt and clear.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could follow-up with the client and keep them informed of new developments we could implement. They’ve done pretty much what I’ve asked for, but they don’t come up with solutions that would be advantageous to us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them and give them a project. They take a day or two to go through it; then they'll send you a detailed scope and timeframe. Depending on the project, they work with the deposits. It’s pretty standard.
The site launched several months ago, and the client is pleased with the final result. Commerce Pundit listened to the client’s needs and executed their vision perfectly. They were easy to get in contact with and were always available to help. Overall, they were excellent partners.
