Colorado SEO Pros has done an outstanding job of designing the entire campaign strategy around conversion rate and ROI which we collaborate to measure monthly. Organic traffic has grown dramatically. Organic traffic overall rose 731.21% from 2016 to 2019 (the new site launched in late 2015). Colorado SEO Pros has also generated an average of over 40 leads per month for us in 2020, generating a consistent 623% ROI for the practice even during the challenging times of COVID.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results we saw were pretty dramatic from the start. In just six months, we saw an 85% increase in organic traffic, as well as a 90% increase in new users from the keywords we were targeting. We also increased our total page one keyword rankings by 16%, and because of that went up 52% in terms of local visibility and impressions.

How did Colorado SEO Pros perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a great combination of being very clear and organized but also flexible enough to incorporate all of the natural changes that come up in the course of doing business. They came up with a plan that they stick to while also being able to bring in other specific requirements or priorities without throwing off the original timeline.

We use Monday.com to keep track of our progress toward specific deliverables and milestones, as well as Google Drive for document sharing and some of their proprietary technologies.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s really all about results, and those speak for themselves. The fact that they are able to deliver so successfully and consistently is due to the fact that they are very knowledgeable, have a mix of technical and content talent, and they have great leadership.

They offer ideas and solutions and are not afraid to ask questions when they don’t think that our ideas make the most sense. As opposed to some larger, more generic companies, this team has a real deep reservoir of talent that can drive a company’s SEO from good to great.

I don’t have any specific things I think they could be doing differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We have a pretty great level of internal technical talent, and we have found that style of partnership to be incredibly effective in implementing the recommendations that they make for us. If you have a more junior team, you might have to rely on them to make some of the changes or take the lead on the priority setting a little more.

I feel that every business has areas for improvement, but on the whole I enjoy working with them. I would challenge their team to learn how to manage me better and hold me accountable to my deadlines and responsibilities rather than letting timelines slip because I'm falling behind. Additional goals involved aligning SEO strategy, optimizing technical and on-page SEO, tools analysis and recommendations, and driving SEO in our company's DNA through process and training.

Describe the project in detail.

Colorado SEO Pros under the direction of the Product Web Portals team assisted with consolidating legacy portals and optimizing the performance of the portal in a manner aligned with customer behavior including:

  • Developing a comprehensive Search Engine Optimization "SEO” strategy plan for Charter, which focuses on Spectrum.net support properties, but addresses potential crossover with Spectrum.com customer sites
  • Assisting the Web Portals team by facilitating cross-functional conversations with other SEO stakeholders outside of Product
  • Assisting the Web Portals team by revising the overall SEO and content strategy for Spectrum.net support sites, based on certain data and analysis culled by the vendor
  • Improving SEO performance by an average of 10% (rankings & traffic) by the end of the contract term, for pages that have been optimized and published
  • Providing monthly KPI reports, and other ad hoc reports when requested. • Assisting with consolidation and 301 redirect strategy to ensure 90% link/URL equity
  • Delivering a complete technical audit of the websites and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Identifying and addressing under-performing content
  • Providing SEO best practices for imagery, video, and structured data.
  • Assisting in creating a Keyword Gap Analysis for Spectrum.net support properties
  • Providing instruction and technical training to the Web Portals team for SEO best practices
  • Evaluating SEO tools (Site Improve, Bright Edge, etc.), and provide recommendations and training.

What was the team composition?

A small, but effective team from Colorado SEO Pros assisted with all aspects of SEO including technical audits, on-page recommendations, strategy alignment, SEO training and reporting and analysis.

Chris Rodgers, founder and CEO, provided strong partnership and expertise to help guide us through a large and complicated SEO project. 2-3 vendor resources regularly participated in working sessions and status meetings, working alongside internal team members to deliver SEO value.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication has been great with Colorado SEO Pros. We have established weekly working sessions weekly along with more formal monthly status updates with our leadership team.

Typically we meet over WebEx with on-site updates every month or as needed. Colorado SEO Pros is very responsive to the needs of their clients. We also used project management tools (like Monday) to keep on track.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I've been impressed with the quality of work and communication provided. The results have been outstanding and this all stems from being aligned on what SEO does and does not do and focused on delivering customer outcomes. Colorado SEO Pros provides a personal level of service not found often when working with large, complex organizations.
