Collby Graphics created an animated one-minute video about our system as well as a loop animation we use on the home page of our website.

To create an engaging animated video to display on our website and social media. The goal was to clearly convey the unique service in a simple minute long video that is fun to watch and easy to understand.

The Colby Graphics team was very thorough when starting the project with all expectations and timelines defined. We had a general idea of what we wanted and then they were able to work with us to refine each aspect. We had a script, voiceover, sketches, graphics, animations, sound and more all to help develop our requirements. It ran smoothly from the beginning until completion.

We interacted directly to project manager Xenia via Skype. She shared links to the materials with us. She helped manage all the changes we needed and gave advice on the direction of our animations and graphics. I helped review the material that was sent and provided feedback. They turned around updates quickly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are happy with the video and placed it on our website homepage. We had great feedback from those who saw it and it conveys our product in a quick format. Our clients even commented on the video saying it help them make the decision to use our product. Looped animation look stylish on the website and completes the whole look we were hoping to get.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was very effective and value-adding through each step. We are located in the USA so time zone differences did happen but that didn’t slow down the project or cause any troubles. Our project manager was available for any questions over chat all the time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I really liked the creativity of the team and high quality provided as well. I didn’t have to spend much time asking for changes so I could focus on our business. I like when the results require minimal rework.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I don’t think so, cooperation was good all throughout. We enjoyed working with them and hope to have more projects in the future.

Keeframe Productions is a small video production company owned and operated by Michael Kee, based just outside of Toronto. Largely a one-man operation, our services include creative development, video production and editing.

For what projects/services did your company hire Collby Graphics?

Collby was hired to produce a 2Min animation promoting Durham Region's proposed mixed waste pre-sort and anaerobic digestion facility. This project was one of nine deliverables my company was hired to produce. The animation needed to be outsourced.

What were your goals for this project?

The video tackles a sensitivity topic within the community. It was important that this video presented the information accurately and in a positive way. There were many stakeholders which made scripting and the approval process a challenge.

I needed a company that could execute our vision and create a beautiful images AND accomodate an extended timeline as well a fair bit of nit-picking.

How did you select Collby Graphics?

Collby is high rated "Fiverr Pro". They were short listed after reviewing their work and seeing very examples. A friendly, reassuring chat with even more samples sealed the deal.

We provided the script with some guidance as to what the visuals should be. They would send back storyboards. This process went on for several months and they were extremely patient with us (my client).

Eventually the scope of work changed and the budget needed to be increased. It was a simple process and they were very reasonable. It was important to the client that the buildings, landscapes and population diversity were all reflected accurately.

Collby was responsible for providing a final product which included voiceover narration and background music.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

I dealt with the same person from start to finish which was great. The project needs were then passed on to an animator. Communication was good. Storyboards and illustration mock ups were shared regularly. Notes were given and applied.

There were MANY rounds of revisions. Collby made several allowances and was extremely generous with their time. We certainly pushed the limits of what was included in the original scope.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The client is very happy with the finished project and are aggressively promoting it on their social media channels. The feedback from the public has been positive.

For my business, it means I can now confidently offer animation as an additional production service. I'm beginning to see inquiries from new clients due to the exposure this video has received.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was good in-spite of the time difference. Google Docs, Fiverr and Yandex Disk were used. This was not an easy project and Collby Graphics did an amazing job. Once the concept and illustrations were finally approved, things moved very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed with their ability to quickly storyboard, illustrate and animate. The visuals exceeded everyone's expectation. The ironic thing is that once the client saw what was possible, they continued to add more elements, more detail...which increased the scope of work and the timeline.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Collby did a great job considering the hand they were dealt. On rare occasions notes were not applied, or changes that had been applied would be undone in the next version so there was some unnecessary back and forth.

I chalk this up to there being too many shared documents over too long of a timeline. Also the project would sit for a month (client's fault) or notes would trickle in (my fault) and be over looked.

I am a project manager of Airpoint company. Airpoint is one of the top-10 Russian developers creating projects with augmented and virtual reality. We develop mobile applications for iOs, Android, interactive installations and game activities that allow to interact with virtual objects using smartphones and iPads as well as virtual reality glasses and helmets.

We were working at the interactive installation for our client to present at the exhibition. It became necessary to produce graphic video of high quality.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal was to make a presentation stand demonstrating various products of the client. An animated video clip was used for the main screen.

Long before this project we communicated with Collby Graphics, sent requests to calculate various projects. After long discussions of many projects we decided to choose Collby Graphics as a graphic partner.

We already had a common concept of the video, but there was no clear technical task. Yet at the stage of discussing the project, its prices and deadlines the guys from Collby Graphics quickly connected and helped to understand in detail the background, effects and recurrence of the video. The deadlines were tight, but the video was done on time. In addition to the video itself we needed all the graphic elements. The guys prepared everything and handed it to us although it was not their obligation.

We communicated with the project manager Konstantin in the messenger, where we created a group chat, which was very convenient for us. It was our first work with Konstantin, after which we made several more videos together.

As we were a conditional intermediary in this project, the evaluation of our client was important for us. The praise of the work was very high.

The project manager Konstantin coordinated and specified the smallest but important details, and quickly provided corrections. Collby Graphics worked well according the schedule and the plan. We had tight deadlines, it was necessary to make a video and program the stand in a week. Despite long approvals with the end customer, we still met the deadline.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Quick response of the Collby Graphic team impressed us very much. The guys were always in touch, ready to help with advice and answer questions even after hours. They always understand in detail the upcoming project. They work hard and show themselves well from the technical and professional side.

They worked quickly enough, but the workflow was a little slow. They associate this with the fact that their lawyer is outsourced.

The production process was running smoothly, I'd say perfect. It’s been a long project so far. We work the following way: we present an idea/concept for a pack of 10 animations. Collby Graphics create script, illustrations and animation. Over 500 animations were made so far.

So far our team feels confident about the way the app is going to look like. All animations are great and the process moves fast enough.

Our goal was to create a short, but exciting and thrilling promotional video for the Libertas Bot. We were looking for a script with some humor (We needed something that will keep the viewer engaged).

As mentioned before we had an idea for the video in mind. We wanted it to be epic and to have some humor elements in it. But the most challenging thing in my opinion was for Collby Graphics team to understand our project and they were really engaged in this process.

They took our idea in consideration and made it more full and visual. So when the script was ready the team sent us the storyboard. After that illustrations were made and then animation. Also they provided us with a list of voice artists to choose from.

There were some issues with the voice over, but we managed to find the right way to solve that problem.

We’ve been chatting all throughout the project. It was a bit tricky due to different time zones, but still easily manageable.
Collby Graphics asked us a lot of questions about our Discord bot to clarify every single detail. I’m sure that was the key to success.

We have not launched our product yet. However, we expect it to have great results when we do launch.

As I wrote before, communication was always easy despite the fact that we live on different continents. It was a bit of a challenge to explain to the team what is our Discord Bot, but they did everything possible to fully get the image.

We had a large marketing project and one of the tasks was to create a full pack of product 3D models to use on our website, in presentations etc.

The goal was to have a full package of highly detailed models of the equipment we produce. It should be as close to the reality as possible with every tiny element displayed.

After an intro discussion we agreed on signing a long term contract since we knew there always will be a need for us in the 3D service. The whole project lasted about half a year and over that time more than a hundred models were made. Still we reach out to Collby Graphics team when we need their help with smaller tasks.

We were assigned with a project manager Pavel, and we also worked with the team’s 3D artist. There probably were more people behind the project, but I can’t say who they are.

Those 3D models we are using for our presentations ad they help make those presentations more appealing to potential clients. And we noticed an increase in the level of trust clients have for us, because they already get to know the equipment through the models. The website now looks much more professional too.

Highly effective. There were no problems with the workflow, everything was done by Collby Graphics in time with perfect quality.

I was a bit surprised by the interest and amount of specific questions the team had. That affected the final result in a good way, the models are exactly like the originals.

After the interview and agreement signing the creative process took off. What we needed was some scenes from the actual game combined with signs and visualization.

We provided the team with screencasts and a list of signs we wanted to see. There was a lot of work on the transition and composition level.

Since the game is constantly developing and the graphics are changing there was a lot of postponed from our side. The team had to wait for new graphics and visuals.
