We had to explain to him all about design fundamentals such as color-psychology, layout and composition, importance of fonts. Also, we had to justify our ad spend on Facebook and why each ad necessitates that much along with the corresponding expected results.

Impact

With the success of its first 3 mobile carts, They decided to open the brand for franchise. Currently on the process of expanding, with the hopes that soon Takoyaki street will be available all-around the Philippine Streets.

We have to take on a fresh approach towards this client, while factoring the traditional approach of an e-commerce platform to slowly ease-in the target market.

We realized that they had inconsistent brand colors, and tried to take on too much in both the creative and strategic aspect in such as short amount of time. They wanted to expand into as much exposure as they can which we completely relate to. However, with the budget and timeline of a year, we felt that it was too soon and had to propose a solution where we can be both aggressive but have to maintain a solid approach.

Long story short, we felt it would be better to focus.

Solutions

We felt that it would be best to tone their branding down. We had to work with them on a new color-palette of their brand while maintaining the teal look of their old branding. Teal is a limited color to match so we had to go through rigorous research, review of the fundamentals of colors, and a lot of trial and error to get it right.

We had to re-work their strategy and proposed it would be best to focus on Social Media Marketing first on both Facebook and Instagram. LinkedIn will come soon as it is perfect for Business to Business campaigns, but ads in LinkedIn are too expensive. We will contemplate it soon enough.

Impact

There is yet to be a quantitative result, as our business relationship is new. However, the client is excited to launch our rebrand and we are excited to have a long-term relationship with them.

We chose coffee digital after referral from some other associates. They have a good track record with some colleagues and we needed someone who could assure quick development.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a meeting to discuss the project brief. Details and requirements given by our local government's regulatory body on government websites. One requirement was that wordpress be used as the platform for development, which coffee digital would be able to produce for us.

 Given as the DICT gave us strict requirements to follow, wireframes were already in place for the layout of the site. All we needed was coffee digital's help in producing the sitemap, and we gathered client info for coffee digital to transcribe into the website.

We worked with their head developer and head artist.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They were able to produce the website within the deadline and they were able to follow the DICT's strict parameters for design and layout.

Most communication was done through messenger applications and email. Regular status updates on the development of the site was given even without being asked for.

One of Coffee Digital's members approached us and offered their service. They showed us that there is opportunity in marketing our store because our competitors do not do so. We think it would be a good advantage so we decided to try Facebook Marketing.

They plan what we will post, they come to take pictures, and advertise us on Facebook. They gave us an idea that since we have good relationships with 35 years old and older, that we can target newer generations by branding our business as reliable and is a go-to in our area. That paired with modern content that would appeal to younger people. Retail is about relationships and Coffee Digital makes sure that we look our best for the customers we want online.

What was the team composition?

Their office is nearby so we normally see 2 or 3 people who would come to greet us and take pictures. When there are big repairs, we can easily call them to take a few pictures.

They are good at editing pictures and graphic design so they make naturally taken photos look good. Our sales improved greatly and we are surprised with the online inquiries they bring. Some clients tell us they discovered us through our Facebook Page and it would usually be a 25-30 year old customer. Their plan worked to appeal to younger people.

They are easy to talk to and act fast. They are very nearby so we can just call them and they would arrive shortly since we are on the same building.

We are very impressed on how good their results are. They said that their work will attract the younger generation, and they did it. Their posts have good results too because our sales have improved.

We have next to no experience when it comes to branding and design, and had some questions especially since we had no idea to the function the designs, themes, and strategies they would do. They explained how Facebook Advertising works and functions of designs. They were kind enough to give us brand colors and visual guides. We were and still are happy with what they provide. Compared to our sales before their Social Media Marketing, we've increased sales.

They are a team of more or less 5 people, and they share many hats. However, each has his/her own specialty when it comes to complex work.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were and still are happy with what they provide. Compared to our sales before their Social Media Marketing, we've increased sales by around 25%. A lot of our new customers have expressed that they came from Facebook. Despite not memorizing our increase in foot traffic and engagement, i can at least say that our authority in our local area has greatly improved.

We leave it to them. They are however still mindful enough to let us know about their plans and artworks to be posted and advertise. I have no complaints with their ideas and work, and we are at a point that almost always, all we do is answer inquiries.

They are fluid, fast, and driven. They have a saying that goes "as long as we're awake, which is most of the day, you can reach us." They adjust easily and have a way of handling things such as sudden requirements. They are honest and not afraid to ask or confirm details they might have missed, and that is why their output is very close to what we envisioned. They truly make us feel that they are on our side and have our interests in mind. They adjust and move fast.
