Brand Manager
For what projects/services did your company hire Coderapper | eCommerce Agency?
We were a highly ambitious start up launching multiple new brands at the same time, therefore we were in need of a way to streamline the backend in a way that was easy for us to maintain without compromising aesthetic and user experience.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
CodeRapper reached out to one of my colleague and they were introduced to me.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We did an introductory call where I gave them an overview of the brands that we have. Then I provided them with websites from other brands for inspiration, so they can get an idea of what types of features and tools I'm looking for. As we went along, we exchanged emails back and forth, using lots of screenshots, to better explain our thought process and what CodeRapper can do to refine the little details. Towards the end, CodeRapper shared an google sheet with us, showing the progress of each step. The great thing about that was it allowed me to directly input additional suggestion, which helps to streamline communication and the process overall. After all the features and the details were established, we went into the final phase where my team and I got a throughout training session on how to run and maintain our websites They also sent us an instructional page that was specifically tailored to our website, and that was immensely helpful for our team members who needed their memory to be refreshed, and fir anyone that wasn't able to attend the training sessions.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Sunny - project manager Kiran - sales manager Mousumee Barik - operations
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The website has yet to go live, but I am excited to see how all the features will help with traffic and customer retention
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was excellent for the most part. After about a month or 2, due to my work load, I wasn't able to be as responsive to CodeRapper as I should've been. This is my fault, not theirs. They've always been very understanding and considerate towards me and my time and I greatly appreciate them for that.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What I liked the most about CodeRapper was how friendly and easy to work with everyone was. I always felt comfortable interacting with them. They've understood me very well, even when I felt like I couldn't find the right words to clearly express my thoughts. They also worked hard, stayed on top of my requests, and gave me what I wanted exactly in the end.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Looking back, I would like to have more transparency into the cost of the project. I know that I was given a quote in the beginning, but as time goes on and we realized we needed to add certain features that weren't in our mind before, it would've been if I could get a real time data of how much this project is racking up.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Freeletics was founded with the vision to challenge and inspire everyone to become the greatest version of themselves, both mentally and physically. Today, it is the leading provider of AI-based fitness and lifestyle coaching, guiding millions of users along a path of holistic health and fitness. We strongly believe that everyone has the potential to shape their life, reach their goals and become the best they can be – and we will help them on that journey.
In 2013, Freeletics began disrupting the fitness industry, a multi-billion-dollar industry previously dominated by stationary gyms and exclusive personal trainers. Today, after growing globally for the first five years as a bootstrapped startup, Freeletics is the creator of one of the world’s most advanced, effective and popular fitness and lifestyle apps. Now with over 50 million users, 165 employees and a gear and sports apparel line, Freeletics has become one of the fastest-growing sports and lifestyle companies in the world.
For what projects/services did your company hire Coderapper | eCommerce Agency, and what were your goals?
Freeletics, creator of the #1 fitness app in Europe, announced a brand-new fitness product delivering the world’s first “strength gaming” experience. The company, until now known for its globally popular AI-powered fitness app of the same name, is bringing a smart, integrated home training system to the market with a unique take on strength workouts.
In an industry first, “STÆDIUM” by Freeletics will combine strength training with a unique gaming experience to create an entirely new fitness category: “strength gaming.” This will tackle the common problem of fitness feeling like a chore for most. Coderapper was briefed to launch a register and a pre-order website in order to get early access to customers for the STÆDIUM product.
As the product will be delivered in summer 2022, Freeletics will continue to improve the website experience with the support of Coderapper's developers and designers in order to make the website as well an immersive experience.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched for an agency who can deliver fast and is experienced with Shopify.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to clarify the scope of the project, the deadline, the different team set-ups and the deliverables. Freeletics decided to change the scope from a pre-order website to a register website first in October. It was great to see the agency's flexibility and change of priority based on that decision. This allowed both teams to focus with more time on the launch of the pre-order website in early November.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We've worked together with the project managers as well as with developers and designers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The website was launched as planned and in time.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The team was really fast in responding questions and open to new suggestions. Even on a bank holiday, they supported Freeletics in order to manage the launch.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were very experienced in Shopify and using the different apps and tools. We really liked how Coderapper solved the issue with deposit and pre-orders with increasing price steps, which was a complex case.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There were some late communications about upcoming bank holidays. So we would have managed to launch on a different day but as mentioned before, the agency was super supportive and still helped to get everything done on launch day.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a Product Manager at a sales company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Coderapper | eCommerce Agency, and what were your goals?
We were looking to refresh our website and migrate to the newly released Shopify 2.0. As we were hoping to move quickly, we chose to work with an agency while we built out our internal development teams.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We evaluated 9 other agencies before we landed on CodeRapper. We were so impressed with their professionalism and willingness to estimate even in the face of tremendous ambiguity. We initially chose a short-term contract, to give us the flexibility to shift agencies if things weren't working out, but they quickly became an integral part of our team.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Our internal Marketing, Creative, and Quality Assurance teams partnered closely with the CodeRapper engineers passing content, copy and designs to CodeRapper whom passed the code back for feedback and QA review. The scheduling was perfect with internal teams working during the day to provide assets and remove roadblocks so the CodeRapper team could work through the evening (their day) to have more code for review in the morning.
We could not be happier with the work they performed and recommendations they provided. They didn't just help us uplift our Shopify site, they helped us dramatically improve our digital experience all the while enhancing the customizer to make it as easy as possible for our non-technical teams to manage future changes. We highly recommend CodeRapper!
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We initially worked with one fulltime Shopify engineer and one part time Shopify engineer. When it came time to renew or end our contract, we decided to renew with an addition fulltime engineer and a QA resource. By the end of our project, we were working with three full time engineers and one QA resource.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The agency resources and our internal teams attended daily standup meetings to discuss progress, answer questions, and callout blockers. We chose to organize the work into two week 'sprint' increments and tracked work items using Jira. The sprint plans were crucial to our Marketing and Creative teams to ensure we had finalized assets available before the CodeRapper team began the work. The daily standup meetings drove collaboration between engineers, designers, and project managers.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was really impressed with Code Rapper's ability to handle ambiguity and pivot when necessary but the thing I enjoyed the most about working with Code Rapper was the difference in time zone. Working half a world apart meant that I could focus on assets and removing blockers during my day freeing up the CodeRapper team to continue with the work during my night. This created an efficient work cycle with little to no down time.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We ran into some minor hiccups with CodeRapper working in a separate environment than our internal teams. The separate instances/environments also caused some confusion with Shopify store settings and apps that were enabled for us but not for the CodeRapper team. We'll keep this in mind the next time we work with an agency, to ensure we're all working from the same environment and code base to eliminate friction with migrating code later in the project.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Creative Director of an indie beauty brand. We sell naturally derived, sustainably sourced and ethically crafted color cosmetics.
For what projects/services did your company hire Coderapper | eCommerce Agency, and what were your goals?
We had integrated a new app for our Shopify store that allowed our customers to build their own custom sample bundles. We wanted to expand the bundles we offered to include full size products, but we needed a custom template coded into the app that made the bundles look more like our themes product pages and were more UX friendly. We wanted each product in the bundle to offer all color variants, show product images, color swatches, and product names responsively.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
CodeRapper actually reached out to us and asked if we were in need of any of their services. It was very serendipitous because we absolutely did! Once we had an intro call walking through all of the services they had to offer we were very impressed with their caliber of work, their different pricing structure options and how quickly they could turn the project around for us.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to go over our goals and objectives. We sent over examples of other websites that had a similar feature to what we were looking for reference. Once we had gone over goals, the CodeRapper team provided some template options for us to review. After we approved the team got to work building them out! They kept us updated throughout the entire process and the project was completed exactly how we wanted it in a couple of weeks.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had a sales associate that we spoke to to engage the project services, we had a project manager, we had multiple managing partners and a couple developers on our team.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching the new bundled products with the updated template, the bundles accounted for 3% of our sales on Cyber Monday. We wanted the template to be live for Black Friday/Cyber Monday and it was. It was exactly what we asked for.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We communicated primarily through email. We were given updates each week, if not multiple times a week on the status of the project, if there were any foreseeable issues and the plans to fix them. They kept all timelines and communication was easy and fast.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have a lot of experience in a vast number of topics. Now that this development project is completed, we have every intention of using CodeRapper for a handful of other projects.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Overall - I think that everything went very smoothly... wouldn't change anything!

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the digital strategist of Robbins Research International, a company that manages all the Tony Robbins’ brands. We take care of the live events, digital marketing, and online management. I work closely with our tech and IT teams for online CX optimization and improvement of profitability and customer satisfaction.
What challenge were you trying to address with Coderapper?
We reached out to Coderapper because we worked with a Shopify platform, but we didn’t have a checkout experience that allowed for guest checkout.
Our clients always had to log in to complete a simple purchase, for items as low as $15 or even for a more pricey product like an event. Going into the holiday season, we wanted to remove that friction from our customers by implementing a guest checkout experience.
Usually, that can be easily done. However, we had a lot of more advanced solutions on the backend with Multipack and a couple of other tech stacks. We were short on resources, so we needed a partner to implement this feature and make sure that we could also attribute guest purchases to the profile of the clients who didn’t sign in for some reason.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Coderapper is currently working on the checkout feature for our Shopify platform, but we’re getting ready to go into a whole other project, and we know we’re going to need ongoing help. In fact, we’ve already re-enlisted them to help update this one feature to our store to make sure that’s universal across all themes.
What is the team composition?
The team is composed of about six of us and about 3–4 of them. I’ve communicated with two people on a regular basis, but there are more people behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Coderapper?
Since we were close to the holiday season, we didn’t have the time nor the resources to do it ourselves, and we were looking for someone who could understand what we needed without going back and forth into meetings and making me re-explain it.
With perfect timing, Coderapper reached out to one of our teammates, who forwarded their contact to me, and I set up a quick call with them. They showed us they were able to execute the project within our timeframe and budget, which is why we hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
I think it has been right around $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We engaged with them late in October 2020, and we’ll definitely be using them as needed moving forward.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen our conversion rate almost double. I don’t know if this was related to the shopping cart or some other marketing initiatives that we had rolling out, but we’ve seen an increase. We’ve also seen the purchase time go down, which is something we’re happy with.
How did Coderapper perform from a project management standpoint?
We’ve kept all our communication through a shared channel in Slack. They usually send us updates even when we don’t ask for them, which is great because we can know without asking. They’ve always worked within the timeframe, and the only reason we sometimes haven't hit the timelines has been because of our team, not theirs.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We definitely trust Coderapper’s work. They are an affordable and worthwhile investment. The team is knowledgeable and able to communicate in a way that allows everyone on our side to understand because not everyone is tech-savvy. That's something we appreciate. Moreover, they have the ability to hear our needs and quickly deliver and offer solutions.
When working with an external vendor, there’s always going to be some spin-up time. Coderapper has made that pretty seamless, even when there are complicated pieces to work with on the backend.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since we have different national holidays, sometimes we wouldn’t hear about the days they’d be out of the office until the holiday arrived. It hasn’t created many hiccups for us, but I think their communication about when they’re going to be out of the office would be something to improve.
Any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you have all stakeholders and, in the initial conversation, have open communication that allows you to understand all deadlines and the business implications. Try not to be too secretive because it can be a detriment, and it can prevent the right solution to be executed.

For what projects/services did your company hire Coderapper | eCommerce Agency, and what were your goals?
Our initial eCommerce site was created in beginning of 2020. We had lots of challenges with development and development team at that time. Developers were hard to get hold of. We wanted someone with good knowledge of Shopify platform along with Recharge (Subscription model) .

We provided coderapper a comprehensive list of items to fix and enhance and they gave an estimate for each item and walked us thru the process. We approved the hours for all items by going thru each items very carefully. Our marketing team provided them the mock up of changes and we were provided statuses and preview URLS to test those changes at regular intervals.
We have deployed the first changes and are in a process of deploying second set of changes within a week. They have been very responsive to changes required at the last moment as well .
How many people from the Coderapper | eCommerce Agency team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have an account manager, 2 senior developers and one QA person assigned to us for this initial engagement.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
we had meeting 2-3 times a week for status update, have used JIRA to keep track of issues. Timelines were followed and adhered to.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have right set of developers to build Shopify site. They are responsive in finding solutions to our unique needs.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
we had some issues initially with time zones and having all team members on the call. We have since then implemented less calls and more streamlined approach to calls and content. Also meeting are shorter in nature with only main developer on the call

The Summer House is an e-commerce company that retails sustainable clothing and wares. While we are based in India, we ship to over 20 countries across the world. I work as the Creative Director.
For what projects/services did your company hire Coderapper | eCommerce Agency?
Our website was a bit outdated so we collaborated with Coderapper to redesign the website. Besides that, we continue to work with them on a retainer basis to keep the website constantly up to date with a fresh UX UI experience.
How did you select Coderapper | eCommerce Agency and what were the deciding factors?
After meeting with various companies, we decided to go ahead with Coderapper because of their ability to understand what a small company needed to help with growth and targets.
The other factor was the sheer experience and ability of the team, having worked on hundreds of projects with clients across the world.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We started the process with explaining to them what the goal of the project was and what were the KPIs we wanted to track once the project was done. We showed them work that we looked up to, and they gave their inputs on the same.
They worked closely with out in-house creative team to bring to live each page of the website in a way that did justice to the brand story as well as the product. While we were handed the final website after 2 months, we continue to work with them even now to keep it up to date and for the many changes that we think of.
How many resources from the Coderapper | eCommerce Agency team worked with you, and what were their positions?
3 people including a project manager and 2 developers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The new design definitely made our website more user friendly. We saw an increase in time spent on website and reduction in bounce rate once the new website was made live.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was quite smooth.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their willingness to find new and unique solutions rather than just following the popular norms was a highlight. It's also a very thorough team that doesn't take any shortcuts to finish the work. We have recommended many people to Coderapper after our experience. Wold do so again.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
