Crowdsourcing Shelf-control App for Premier IS

In a project with the leading Danish ice-cream producer, Premier IS, Codenetix team developed a mobile app for crowdsourcing shelf-control in order to track and imrove OSA (On-Shelf Availability), without need to hire or contract large merchandising teams.

As maximum user involvement is crucial for getting as much data as possible, app interface should have been developed as crisp and simple as possible.

User flow from start screen to submitting the report takes just a few taps. All master data management have been done via API connections to ERP – retail chains, stores, products and focus lists. Reporting is no longer needed to be manually prepared – data and graphs are presented in embedded reporting tool.

Decisive actions taken by customer team to improve OSA, based on the data gathered on the pilot launch of the app, led to OSA increase by 9 percent points.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a financial analyst at a company that provides online loan services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire CODENETIX?

CODENETIX implemented automated daily report generation.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to minimize the involvement of the analyst in the report creation process.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We needed our contractor to be highly qualified for the task. We were also looking for someone who could deliver on time and provide reasonable costs.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

After we provided samples of report forms, CODENETIX created new reports, automated the generation process, and integrated the reporting functionality with our database. These daily reports include active portfolios, amount of loans and their total sum, loan repayment dynamics, and other data. We were able to split complex reports into sections and work with each one, ensuring proper logic and data formation. We also performed test uploads to verify data integrity at every stage of development.

What was the team composition?

We had the pleasure of working with Ivan (Data Scientist, CODENETIX).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They did a superb job. The automatically generated reports help me use my time for actual data analysis instead of constant report preparation. Now, I can easily get all the data I need for my work in an email at the beginning of the workday.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

In case of any questions, we arranged Skype calls or used emails.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their expertise and quick response made collaboration easy and brought great results.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

We don’t require any rework or improvement at the moment.
