Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of Heritage Retirement Advisors. We help people transition into retirement using trust, tax, and income planning as well as insurance products.
What challenge were you trying to address with CMIT Solutions of Carlsbad?
My emails contain a lot of sensitive information. We needed to create a software firewall to protect my client’s data.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They explained what software was available and how it would protect our company. Then they installed software on each of our computers and ensured that our network was well-orchestrated. Our primary contact spent time at each computer to make sure it was secure and operating well. They also provide monthly reports on our security systems and tips to prevent problems in the future.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Mark (IT Specialist).
How did you come to work with CMIT Solutions of Carlsbad?
I met Mark and he introduced me to CMIT Solutions of Carlsbad. He represented them well, and so I chose them over other agencies.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $1,250.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project began in January 2020 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Mark was very thorough. Occasionally, I receive messages that notify me that they’ve stopped messages from phishing scams. So, I’ve seen the solution in action several times. It has definitely saved us from inadvertent errors. Since working with CMIT Solutions of Carlsbad, we haven’t had any viruses.
How did CMIT Solutions of Carlsbad perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been excellent. They always arrived on time and installed the software in a very expeditious manner. There have been no complaints.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They communicated well and cared about our business. They provided a lot of support.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Occasionally, I need to replace computers and update hardware. I don’t think that’s one of their services, but I would have employed them for hardware assistance as well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you ask plenty of questions so you know how their services match your needs. Clear communication is important in creating a successful partnership.
