BNP Open Banking Portal
We have built a PSD2 compliant Developer Portal for BNP Paribas Fortis.
The Open Banking Portal includes custom made features such as Sandbox, Test data, Console, API products, etc.
Cloudoki was responsible for proposing and leading the full scope of the features, complete application and integration architecture, design, planning, on top of the development.
This portal features banking-grade security and requirements.
MobieTrain
MobieTrain is designed to solve the needs of modern workplaces, including high staff turnover, increased competition and a mobile workforce. Through MobieTrain, learning is fun again with advanced micro-learning techniques and gamified.
We have designed the complete architecture of the application, from Back to Front end.
This product stack is composed not only by the user-facing Mobile application but also by a custom made management CMS.
Gamification, extensive browser and device support as well as data handling and analytics were just a few aspects we had to integrate into this project.
PRACE - Resource management & allocation portal
PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) offers world class computing and data management resources and services through a peer review process.
To support this, Cloudoki developed a custom made tool allowing PRACE to manage existing and new resource allocation calls, overview the complete multi-tiered review process, and allow users to submit and review their proposals.
Visualtalk
VisualTalk is a one-on-one professional video consultation platform, that requires virtually no installation. User management, scheduling, auto-logging, notifications and browser fall-backs, it has it all. VisualTalk API and back-end are built entirely on Node.js, the front-end is Backbone.
VisualTalk is built entirely API-based, on a 3-layer architecture, wrapping around several middleware components to facilitate authentication, the video conferences and automated email.
For this Version 1 of the platform, we opted for a full Node.js environment, and Backbone as front-end framework. This allows for elegant applications, ultra scalability and rapid pivoting or swapping out components in the future.
Earfy
Earfy is a custom made Android software for tablets, to translate speech to text, in real time.
Communication between hard of hearing / deaf persons with hearing persons is often complicated. Relying on text interpreters or sign language interpreters is not comfortable. Just putting a smartphone or tablet with a subtitling app on the table would be so much easier. No more booking in advance, no third person at the table and much lower costs.
The complete architecture and stack has been developed by Cloudoki, in Swift and Node.
Developer Portal & Marketplace
API Suite is a custom made agnostic Developer Portal & Integrations Marketplace.
Cloudoki supported the API Suite team into creating a Cloud solution for their product, thus expanding the integrations offering to a whole new set of clients.
We've made the migration from an on-premise setup, to a fully scalable & distributed solution in AWS.

My role is CTO of Mobietrain, a SaaS company with a focus on a mobile micro-learning solution for the retail sector.
For what projects/services did your company hire Cloudoki?
They helped us from scoping the application till delivering the MMP and continuous development that is still ongoing. They also helped us with finding good resources to set up our own local branch of developers.
What were your goals for this project?
Delivering and maintaining a custom web application and finding the right resources to work on it, including migrating them to our own company.
How did you select this vendor?
There was a tender that multiple companies applied for. During the selection interviews cloudoki was considered the best company for us.

Custom development of application including frontend, backend and API. PM according to SCRUM methodology. Infrastructure and DevOps setup and maintenance. Recruitment of new people for the project and moving them to our own branch.
What was the team composition?
- 1 PM/SCRUM master - 3 frontend developers - 3 backend developers - 1/2 FTE recruitment
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Since we are a SaaS company, our product is key. This is what Cloudoki successfully build together with us. Searching for new resources and hiring them is also the key for the continuation of our product.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
PM was done according to the SCRUM methodology with a SCRUM master taking care of the development team in close combination with the product owner and myself. It was done very efficiently as there were every now and then very hard deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The flexibility in combination with their knowledge. Next to that, it was always fun to meet them and have some drinks together... they pay a lot of attention to the culture in the company and this can be seen going out with the team, which was always very relaxed, but again, when working they react very professionally and always go the extra mile to deliver.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None for me.
In addition to technical contributions, Cloudoki offered DevOps support and professional, scrum-based project management. Their personable resources and company culture were praised as well. Customers can expect an experienced, adaptable team.
