Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the chief commercial officer of a finished vehicle and transportation logistics company. We move cars for manufacturers, banking institutions, and individuals.
What challenge were you trying to address with Chief Internet Marketer?
We didn’t have an on-staff marketing manager, and we needed one.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We hired them to be our on-staff marketing company, but at a different price point than having a permanent person on staff. They built a driver recruitment website for us and they also helped with our overall SEO, branding, and logo. Additionally, they’ve taken over all of our social media, including Facebook and LinkedIn.
What is the team composition?
Jeff (CEO) is our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Chief Internet Marketer?
I’ve worked with Jeff in the past at a previous logistics company, and they’ve always taken great lengths to understand the business. Having them come on board is very easy.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in September 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site launched in January 2020, and it’s magnificent. The initial buzz was fantastic, but due to COVID-19, nothing is going on in my industry.
How did Chief Internet Marketer perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very communicative. Their strongest part is that they listen before they talk. They cut across many industries, absorb information, do research, and when I talk to them it’s not like I’m talking to someone outside of our industry. They have enough information that they’re easy to talk to.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re willing to get knee-deep in our industry, which makes them very valuable.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, the only thing that could be improved is me. They’re doing a fantastic job.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to take a long hard look. I’ve worked with many marketing organizations and they give you all of the attention that you need and deserve.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
My company offers measurement services to a variety of manufacturing businesses, and I am the marketing director of the company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Chief Internet Marketer?
They originally came on with us to implement and support our SharpSpring marketing automation software.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Because we are in the service industry, we focus a lot on our reputation, but when I came on board in 2015, we did not mass email any customers or run campaigns at all. SharpSpring has allowed us not only to create a customer database but then also to implement campaigns and nurture marketing automation to communicate with our customers according to their own unique interests and needs.
Chief Internet Marketer implemented that system into our website, but since then, they have helped us to rebuild our website from scratch, build a whole CMS system, and their work has progressed from there. They currently provide ongoing support in the form of direct work on the system but also strategy for campaigns and their expertise on marketing matters in general.
What is the team composition?
I work with Jeff (CEO) and his team of technical programmers. Early on in the relationship, I worked with a woman who is no longer there but who really provided the first personal and helpful face in the relationship. Since working more closely with Jeff, I have also spoken directly to one of their developers who was responsible for rebuilding our CMS.
How did you come to work with Chief Internet Marketer?
When I joined the company in late 2015, I could immediately pinpoint the need for help with marketing automations. I had already heard about them at a different company, so I decided to reach out and bring them on from the start.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent a total of between $40,000–$50,000 on the project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The relationship officially started in January 2016, and we haven’t stopped working together since.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Before Chief Internet Marketer helped us implement SharpSpring and our new website, we had a series of static pages that couldn’t bring in leads, and we advertised exclusively through word-of-mouth. We typically got about one lead a week. We get more leads in a day than we used to get in an average month before working with them.
The difference that their expertise combined with my marketing efforts has made in our company has been absolutely transformational. We have increased our business to the point where the website rebuilds became necessary because we outgrew all of the functionalities that we were able to implement ourselves.
How did Chief Internet Marketer perform from a project management standpoint?
Jeff has been very hands-on throughout all of our work with him, which I really appreciate. He never lets a long time go by without checking in to make sure everything is going smoothly. Even now, they have offered to continue their work for us and worry about the payments later, which is a real testament to the fact that they always put our happiness and success first.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team has such a great working relationship. It’s clear that they are always on the same page and work really well together, so I never feel like I have to keep going around in circles to get something done. They make sure that between the two of them, they accomplish everything I ask for and provide whatever we need without having to ask us for clarifications over and over.
One particular time that speaks volumes about their priorities and attitude as a business was their involvement in my marketing certification class. Jeff came across a class that he thought I could benefit from, and rather than focusing on the services he wants to provide, he helped me get a discounted rate on the class so that I could develop in my role professionally as well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If I thought there was anything they needed to improve, I probably wouldn’t still be working with them. Everything has been great since day one.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Take on as much as you can on your end and let them be the experts who can guide you in making the best decisions for your particular situation. I think they are best situated as strategic advisors for you.
