Delivering Blockchain Solutions

ChainArtSoft is a team of expert blockchain developers from Minsk, Belarus.

We have a track record in development of dApps on top of EOS, Tron, Ethereum, and other popular blockchains. We have also delivered a variety of smart contracts using Solidity and C++.

Our team has both worked on its own dApps, that have gained wide popularity among fans of blockchain technology, and has outsourced its skills and experience to top level blockchain projects.

We help founders of blockchain projects:
1. Build complex technical solutions and deliver it to the market.
2. Reduce software development costs by hiring remote developers with deep blockchain expertise.
3. Find qualified IT experts and solve resource problems without hiring developers in-house.

How are we doing this:
1) You assign a Product Owner committed to the product and able to dedicate time to define the overall vision, features, and deadlines, and gather requirements from stakeholders
2) We assign a development team and a Scrum Master to coordinate the team members
3) The development process is split into short (1-2 weeks) iterations aimed at delivering a potentially shippable product at the end of each cycle
4) Based on the feedback from other stakeholders or real users you can initiate changes after each iteration
5) The Product Owner and the development team use planning meetings to discuss the results of the previous iteration, create iteration backlog and update the product backlog
6) Scrum Master initiates Daily Scrum meetings to streamline collaboration among the development team by discussing what has been done since the last meeting, what will be done today and what the stumbling blocks are

Feedback summary:

The original agreement required a 50% down payment with the remainder being paid after project delivery. However, ChainArtSoft insisted on full payment upfront and continued to up the fees, even after the initial payments. The final product is incomplete and full of bugs.

Please describe your company and your position there.

Event management system for small and medium sized business. Chief Product Officer at Swapp

For what projects/services did your company hire ChainArtSoft?

We hired ChainArtSoft to build us a custom web application for our event management platform. This platform was to be built in Django with frontend on React.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of the project was to create a fully mobile responsive web application.

How did you select this vendor?

Found them on Upwork.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The goal of the project was to create a fully mobile responsive web application that would allow event organizers to create events through Eventbrite, invite attendees, allow them to check-in, and network through our platform.

What was the team composition?

1 backend developer 2 frontend developers 1 project manager

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

ChainArtSoft is a fraudulent company. We agreed on a fixed price contract with an agreed upon scope. We gave them a 50% down payment and then halfway through they requested that we pay the other half otherwise they would have to stop work. The agreement was to pay the other half when finished.

We paid off the amount so that they can continue working. About a few weeks later, they said they need another payment as they cannot fulfill the contract with the current amount. We paid another few thousand dollars and they guaranteed they would finish it.

Once again, a few weeks later they said they need another payment and cannot finish the contract. We ran out of money and agreed to pay them later with a percentage interest, a debt purchase. They agreed and we signed another contract.

Two months passes by and they completely stopped all work with our platform still being far from done and having a lot of bugs. I’m extremely disappointed. Pavel Martynov is the CEO is orchestrated this scam. Do not work with this company, complete scam and fraud.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Horrible. The worst PM I ever dealt with. They were a horrible team. Nothing was on time, and everything was disorganized.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I find it impressive that they are still not bankrupt.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything about their company needs improvement.

Updated Review

The vendor responded on November 19, 2019.

Dmitriy, thank you for your review and for being a CEO of a competing software company.

ChainArtSoft has a single contract signed with Swapp Technologies, Inc (Dmitriy Azarenko is CPO) for delivering the event management platform with a specific set of features. There were no other contracts signed between ChainArtSoft and Swapp Technologies. Based on the terms of the contract, we expected to receive the full payment for the development of the project upfront before starting the work, which was crucial for us and for this specific project to organize smooth development processes and full delivery.

However, the client decided to split the payment into several parts, sent us some parts, then proposed to replace the rest with convertible notes. To this today, they haven't yet sent us a significant part of the payment. It was made clear to the client that those kinds of changes in the payment schedule might influence the development processes and the delivery time. The client was OK with this, so we started the work.

At the moment, the project includes almost all of the features requested in a working state, and we would still be happy to continue working with the client to finish the development part after the client fulfills their payment obligations. Additionally, we will improve our agreements to underline the importance for the client to follow the payment schedule agreed upon to receive the best service possible.

We wish Dmitriy good luck with his projects and successful fundraising efforts.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of Litigati. We develop software for law firms.

What challenge were you trying to address with ChainArtSoft?

We hired ChainArtSoft to do contract development. We provide the requirements and they build the features.

Since our main solution is a Django application, ChainArtSoft primarily works in Python. They’ve also used CSS, JavaScript, and HTML for frontend development.

What is the team composition?

We work with three different people, but not all at the same time.

How did you come to work with ChainArtSoft?

My company hired them before I joined the team. But we’ve retained ChainArtSoft because they are responsive and communicative; they also understand the requirements clearly.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together about three years ago and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We wouldn’t be where we are today without ChainArtSoft. They’ve done an exemplary job and we have no complaints.

How did ChainArtSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done a good job despite the difference in time zones.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’ve done a good job.
