The video has received excellent feedback. Casual Films was extremely flexible during the project. Their adaptability made the collaboration effortless. They are a reliable team that provides exceptional, quality ideas.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing manager at Teach First. We’re a charity that focuses on recruitment in schools. My role is to support and create communications that attract people to teacher training programs.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Casual Films?

We were branching our recruitment efforts into videos. We’re becoming a digitally focused company, so we needed content that would engage and excite audiences. We want our organization to appear more current and make teaching an attractive profession.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Casual Films took on the project from start to finish. We proposed the problem and briefed their team on what we wanted. They came back with ideas, and we picked one that fit within our budget.

The video was part animation, part live action. I accompanied their production team to film at a school for a portion of the live action segment. Their team storyboarded and created a fully integrated film for our company. They also cut down versions to post on our social media channels.

What is the team composition?

I had two dedicated staff members. One focused on animation, and the other took the lead on live action.

How did you come to work with Casual Films?

We’ve worked with Casual Films before. A couple of years back, we were working on a campaign, and their team was recommended to our company. We had other companies pitch to us, but Casual Films’ ideas, flexibility regarding budget, and attentiveness made them stand out. We felt confident that their team would provide more than others.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £26,000 (approximately $33,439 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Casual Films on this project from August-November 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The video just went online. Across the board, we’ve received excellent feedback, but no exact metrics yet.

How did Casual Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Casual Films has a team of creative thought leaders. Their project management was excellent. Without a doubt, their team was clear about timelines, and when they needed feedback. They were terrific at responding to difficulties. Working with children and being reliant on schools can be tricky; their team was flexible to that. Their team dealt with problems quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their quality of ideas. Casual Films’ team is highly creative and work to understand their assignment. They’re a strong creative agency. Equally, working with them is excellent. Their team always delivers, and never puts up a fight. Working with Casual Films is easygoing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Casual Films did fantastic work. They could’ve pushed us more when it came to deadlines.

Any advice for potential customers?

Customers should be open to their ideas even if they are unexpected. Trust in the endgame. There were points in the process where I didn’t know how things were going to work. In the end, the final product was better than expected. You have to trust that Casual Films knows what they’re doing.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm a brand activation officer at St. John Ambulance. We’re a charity organization.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Casual Films?

Every year, we have an annual awards ceremony dedicated to celebrating everyday heroes. We wanted to demonstrate how everyday heroes can make a remarkable impact, so we were looking for a company to create some videos for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created nine interview-style videos. The films are made in the form of case studies, bringing to life the stories of everyday heroes. Each video is about two and a half minutes long.

What is the team composition?

We mostly worked with a producer and our account manager. We also met with a filmmaker on the days of the shoot.

How did you come to work with Casual Films?

Casual Films produced all films for our previous annual awards, so they already knew our brand. We were impressed with their videos, so we went back to them for this project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent £25,000 (approximately $32,000) on nine videos. Last year, they created six videos and it cost us £15,000 (approximately $19,250).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in June 2017 and it was completed in September 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The videos are very emotive and the people who viewed them for the first time at the awards ceremony were really moved. That also helped our cause as a charity. The videos are doing great across all the social media channels, and one video even went viral.

How did Casual Films perform from a project management standpoint?

They met all of our deadlines. They knew what they were doing, so we didn't have to worry about the project at all.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They genuinely care about producing a high-quality product that meets your needs. We were not just another client for them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We're a charity, so it'd be great if things were cheaper. But they were worth it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Let them take as much control as possible. We let them work directly with our finalists and get the stories from them. When we're not trying to control them, they can do their job better.

Casual Films created high-quality, well received videos and other campaign collateral that helped significantly boost awareness of the organization's brand online. In addition to delivering results, their team is very creative, passionate, and proactive, making them a pleasure to work with.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the brand and planning manager at Breast Cancer Now, the largest research charity organization for breast cancer in the UK.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Casual Films?

We wanted to do a brand advertising campaign that included short videos to raise the profile of our organization.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Casual Films worked on all the creative assets for our advertising campaign, including about eight short films that included interviews of people who had experienced breast cancer. They also designed banners and created various posts for our social media pages.

Working closely with our team, they helped develop an overall media strategy after a comprehensive brief of our organization's goals and brand guidelines. For the next campaign, they'll reuse footage from the first campaign, editing it to create new short films.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with two main points of contact, as well as a couple additional staff during shoots.

How did you come to work with Casual Films?

They were recommended to me by a colleague who had worked with them at a different charity.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about £50,000 (about $65,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The campaign ran from September 2017–August 2018, but we're about to start another campaign with them this month (November 2018).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Casual Films successfully increased our overall brand awareness over the course of the campaign. We saw an increase across the board in video views, users signing up for newsletters, Facebook likes, and engagement.

Every time we filmed a new video, we were able to learn from the experience and make the next better. They did a great of incorporating any feedback and making improvements throughout the process.

How did Casual Films perform from a project management standpoint?

The producer I worked with was spot on; his organizational skills are second to none. The rest of their team is also very professional and lovely to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very creative and passionate about what they do. We're also very happy with the way they manage projects and are willing to work with a smaller budget, giving us a great value at an affordable rate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I've been very impressed with them and recommended them to others.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Casual Films led a collaborative project and delivered exceptional marketing assets. Despite being part of a recent advertising push, the videos have already increased website traffic, visits to the company’s LinkedIn page, and overall product conversions. They’re valuable and creative partners.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the creative lead for Mitie. As a facilities management company, we help businesses manage their buildings so they can focus on doing what they do best. For example, we’re often in charge of hiring and overseeing security, catering, and janitorial staff members.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Casual Films?

Our company was looking to form partnerships with a variety of creative companies so we could provide our clients with a multitude of services based on their individual needs. We hired Casual Films for their video production expertise.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Like a lot of businesses, we’re in the middle of a digital transformation. We’re launching an online platform and wanted Casual Films to create promotional videos for the product. After our initial meeting, we introduced them to the platform and they came back with three ideas regarding potential options for the video. Those contributions consisted of a version built from my ideas and then two unique pitches. It’s difficult to create captivating ads geared toward our industry, but we asked them to deliver something that stands apart from most of the marketplace.

While the ideas Casual Films come up with were brilliant, the story they wanted to tell didn’t quite work. I worked with another colleague to develop a scenario that would benefit from their creative execution. Melding the two elements together enabled Casual Films to deliver excellent products. Our partnership with them facilitated the project’s success.

They led the production, filming, and post-production processes of two marketing videos. During the project, they also created a behind-the-scenes video. Additionally, they edited some of the footage into segments that we can publish on social media. Overall, we received a lot of assets from the one project.

What is the team composition?

I’d mostly interact with an account manager, the director, and a creative contact. They also made additional resources available as needed.

How did you come to work with Casual Films?

Several companies approached my director. He tasked me with filtering through each contact to find a reputable firm. I looked at the showreel Causal Films provided, and it stood apart from the other agencies. I asked them to come in for an introductory meeting, and the engagement evolved from there.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost £60,000 (approximately $77,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our involvement with them took place from June–October 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve only recently launched a marketing campaign that utilizes the videos Casual Films produced for us. However, the videos have generated more LinkedIn profile views than we’ve ever experienced as a company. We’ve likely broken the previous record four or five times over at this point. Using snippets of the videos on various social media platforms has increased website traffic and conversions by a significant margin. Their deliverables have been out for less than a month and have already impacted our company.

How did Casual Films perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team honored our proposed timeline throughout the entire production process. They hit every mark seamlessly and are open to project changes. They’d pick up the phone whenever we’d call and communicated via email frequently. They’re brilliantly organized.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The individuals assigned to our project were there when we needed them. They treated us like partners instead of clients. That approach resulted in a more personable and productive experience. They’re quite friendly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They’ve overachieved in every area of the project.
