“They’re much better than brokers we’ve had in the past.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an interpreting and transcription agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with Capital Services, Inc.?
We needed a fresh set of eyes for our HR solution.
What was the scope of their involvement?
In the first phase, they completed a compliance audit to make sure we were operating at the top of our game. In the next phase, they'll recruit and train an HR generalist for us to bring on as our employee.
In the interim, someone from their agency processes our payroll and acts as our HR professional. Additionally, we brought them on as our broker for benefits.
What is the team composition?
I have one main contact. There were also 3–4 people on the benefits team and one interim HR professional.
How did you come to work with Capital Services, Inc.?
I found them through a referral. I thought they’d be the best fit because of their model. They didn’t want to take over and outsource our HR, which is a costly undertaking for small businesses.
Their model was more to inspect our systems and make sure everything runs efficiently. I also liked how their model included finding and training someone to maintain our HR infrastructure.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $2,000–$4,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2021, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The engagement was for a set number of hours but the team is working much more than that. They really go above and beyond.
How did Capital Services, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
So far, they’ve been great with meeting deadlines and managing the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their customer service and attention to detail on the benefits side is really good. They’re much better than brokers we’ve had in the past. On the HR side, things have also been going really well. They do everything right, and they’re not cheap at all. If they’re going to do a process, they’re going to do it no matter how long it takes.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to be on top of the process and be in the trenches helping. That'll help speed up everything.
Capital Services, Inc. has exceeded its client’s expectations so far. The team goes the extra mile to make sure deadlines are met. Their benefits team shows succinct attention to detail. In a similar vein, the interim HR professional is hardworking and makes sure processes are correct.
