Frontend Development for IT Company
the project
"The developers feel like a part of our team."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a german/swiss based IT company developing custom erp solutions focussed on AI and Automizations.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
We developed our entire Frontend around a self-building application, that takes instructions and assembles itself. We needed help to scale this application, as we couldn't find adequate developers in-time in europe and decided to try to leverage the expertise of capital numbers.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched online and had interviews with several companies and decided to go with CN.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had several meetings before we started working with CN to discuss the contract and how we move forward. Afterwards we had a long kick-off meeting where we explained everything we do. Then they started to go through our system and provide unit-tests to all modules that missed them. In the course of a year, they completely tested the entire application, transformed everything into typescript and enhanced the entire user interface.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
12 Developers and 2 Designers
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We noticed a lot less bugs after launching new features and in general received great feedback from our customers regarding new ui/ux features.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We have 1 Senior Developer that is in charge of the entire project. He is in a really close contact with our co-founder who was previously in charge of this project. He advises and instructs all the other developers. Next to this we have 2 stand up meetings a week to discuss problems and progress
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
That we know who works for us. The developers feel like a part of our team.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Communication was an issue in the beginning, as we discuss everything in english, however english is not the native language of anybody. But nowadays it is fine.

Augmented Web Dev Services for Manufacturing Business
"They have a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines."

the review

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Head of Technology at our manufacturing business who operate multiple ecommerce websites with an omni channel presence across mainstream marketplaces.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
Our websites were managed and created by agencies and we took the decision to strategically bring all web development in house. We found that our websites required some heavy maintenance for up-gradation which was not considered by our previous partners.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
After trying to source developers via UpWork and other agencies who provide similar services. I was recommended to contact Capital Numbers via our professional network. Our major concern with offshore development teams has always been communication and the diligence of ones company to care about ours. So far Capital Numbers has proved to care and provide any means to help support us in our goals as a business and as a department.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I contacted Capital Numbers and was assigned a business development contact. We discussed our requirements at length and also addresses concerns we had working with previous agencies. We did this several times before we felt reassured. Without any pressure from Capital Numbers they were able to assure us that we could mitigate financial risk of trialling developers as well as being able to deliver something tangible within the first couple of weeks.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We were assigned our project manager Arghadip, and a Technical Lead named Soumitan, whom both have a clear understanding of project management, what our needs are and also what the developers need, for some who's english isn't their native language, both the PM and Tech Lead are able to fill this gap. Our stores are based on Magento and our primary task was to redevelop the stack using the latest packages from Adobe.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After 3 months we have successfully been able to deliver a solution plus have fixed an array of issues as well as developing features that are compatible with Magento 2.3 and 2.4. Although this may be trivial to some, however it says something about the quality of work we receive from Capital Numbers when we brief the developers correctly.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Arghadip is an extremely diligent project manager, every request has been dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. The developers they have been able to provide us with are good at what they do and left to their own devices provide well rounded and logical thinking. We were left to decide what communication tools we wanted to use, Slack is preferred however they were happy to accept our request to use MS Teams. We have constant communication between us all and the feedback loop is consistent and constant.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They're transparent, deliver tangible results and the developers are mouldable to fit our business requirements. They can start earlier than us in the UK, however they are prepared to start later and work until slightly later to accommodate the time zone difference. Despite english not being the developers native language, we have experienced no issues in being able to communicate in English and they have a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Their developers generally have little knowledge around devops, whereas in full stack roles you tend to touch on devops to setup servers, automation CI/CD pipelines, it is merely an example to bear in mind that you will need to manage and own your own devops infrastructure or request Capital Numbers to provide an expert in this area.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Director of Technology for a marketing, advertising, and SaaS firm.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
We utilize Capital Numbers to develop responsive Wordpress websites for our clients, which we have designed in-house - uniquely to each client. Our goal was to partially outsource our website builds for the sake of efficiency. Capital Numbers does great work in timely fashion.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I was not involved with the selection process - their involvement with the company predates mine. However, I have been in a position to choose whether or not to retain their services and I have chosen to retain them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We have an ongoing relationship with Capital Numbers for developing our custom client websites. To date, they have been involved with literally dozens of these builds for multiple clients.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have primarily worked with a project manager and a Wordpress developer on their side - two people in total.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are well known in the industry for gorgeous client websites, and Capital Numbers has been involved in the build (not design) of dozens of these.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We communicate with the developer daily via Slack and/or email, and with the Project Manager as needed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They do efficient work, done correctly the first time.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I have no disappointments in their work.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the founder and president at Multitrack Studios, a full-service marketing agency that specializes in messaging, creative, and short-form animation.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
I had created a website for one of my clients using my particular level of Webflow development skills. While the client has loved the new site since launch, I knew it should be optimized for cross-device resonsiveness and to fully leverage Webflow's excellent CMS functionality.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I responded to a well written email and was impressed from the beginning with the team at Capital Numbers. I also loved that they offer a comprehensive range of services. Solid Webflow design and management, but also so much more.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
After working through the sales process, I was introduced to a project manager and then provided them with direction and project goals. They use Teamwork for project collaboration, so most communication happens. Everything else is throught Webflow.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Beyond the salesperson, I worked with the project manager, and all comms were copied to the person who manages their production.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are still working on this site, but so far they have created and populated a new CMS for page content and ported all existing content to it flawlessly. The mobile versions of the site are now unified with the desktop version, which should boost SEO significantly upon launch, and will make content management easier and faster as well. The page load speed was excellent and was doubled through Capital Numbers.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Project management is mostly through Teamwork and is prompt and to the point. I find the Teamwork platform a bit disjointed and non-intuitive, but they still make it work.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Communication is excellent and the quality of work they deliver is a direct result of that.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They could make it easier to put more money in the meter to buy additional hours!

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the COO of a small engineering and manufacturing company. We cater to aerospace & defense industries, pharmaceutical industry, medical industry, and manufacturing industry.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
Our website was created over 10 years ago and had become outdated. We didn't have the ability to properly track traffic, conversions, and general analytics. It was time from a complete redesign.
We hired Capital Numbers to work with us for a ground up redesign of our website and move it from a Wix platform to WordPress site. The goal was to modernize the website, give the customers a clean experience, ensure the site worked seamlessly across multiple platforms, and substantially increase traffic within a year.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We did an extensive online search and interviewed 4 web developer companies. After looking at various factors, such as costs, design capability, other customer reviews, and past portfolios, we decided to go with Capital Numbers. Even though there is a significant Time Zone difference between us, the team made it work!
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to discuss goal and objectives. The team delivered mock-ups for our site and worked closely with us for numerous revisions and iterations. Once that was set, their team developed a WordPress site and started adding content. It was a very collaborative effort and we again went through numerous iterations.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had a project manager as our main point of contact throughout the process. Several times towards the end we had Zoom calls with the backend developer to help us with a tricky domain issue.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching the site, we are finally able to track and get good data via Google Analytics. The site looks clean and modern and is simple to navigate.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Several Zoom calls initially for introductions as well as to communicate scope and vision of project. Most communication afterwards was via email due to the time difference. A few Zoom calls towards the end of the project.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They gave us a modern site at a reasonable cost. They created a Word Document with step by step instructions to allow us to update the site ourselves.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Towards the end, we had some issues on the backend with 404 error pages and redirects. It took a little while to get resolved as the team was already working another project. I think to fully wrap up a projects, the team should do their own technical audit and fix any backend issues prior to final sign-off.

I'm the CTO of INDALTER SL Company and I'm the Project Manager for all software projects in the company
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
We hired Capital Numbers for developing a platform in Django for a third party. We expected a good code backend as it is. Good documentation and good help from CN software developer.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We reviewed in the Internet many companies from INDIA, and CN was the best based on reviews on the internet
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
It was not easy project as it had a poor requirements document. Even of that, Vivek, our developer, could make a good work on it and reach all the goals we fixed.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with: Arghadip, the project manager and Vivek, the backend software developer. Good team and very integrated with our inhouse software development team
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The deliverables were good even that, as I mentioned, the initial requirements were a bit poor. It was a challenging project with a bit difficult part because the project was started and he had to deal with a third party code.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We worked with Jira and Teamwork. Also with internal XLSx and Slack tool for comunications
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their confidence and excellent communication skills are outstanding. Very fluent.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Well, the only thing we can say is that maybe the developers should focus more on backend or frontend. In our case the backend code was excellent quality but the frontend part was a bit poor. Event that, we could detect soon and focus on the expertise part of CN developer.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a Lead Advisor at our company, a subscription-based stock-picking and research service.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
Since we launched just over two years ago, our site design, structure, and storytelling/call-to-action capabilities left much to be desired. We hired the Capital Numbers team to completely redesign our website, improve several ordering/e-commerce and online search functionality and workflows, and improve the customer experience.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched online for both local and international web development firms, and chose Capital Numbers for a combination of its past projects, reputation, cost, and ability to continue working with us on an ongoing basis for maintenance and further feature additions/improvements after the initial redesign was complete.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
After describing our goals and desired end-product, we had an introductory call to meet the team assigned to our project. That team designed and delivered wireframe mock-ups for our site, then upon approval of their initial designs followed with high-fidelity designs for every page, content type, and workflow.
They were prompt in adjusting anything we wanted to change, then followed by transitioning administrative rights from our now-former web developer to their own team. They then developed a fully functional test version of the site on our test server, adjusted the test site as needed to match with our requirements, and ultimately transferred the test site to our live production site.
They used the MS Teamwork platform to track all hours spent on every task, requesting information as needed and responding to our own requests in comment threads there and via email.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Five people in total from the vendor's team worked with us, including a project manager, designer, a front-end web developer, and two back-end web developers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
It's still early to gauge measurable outcomes of the product, but we're very pleased with the end-product only a few days post-launch so far. Members of our service have also offered overwhelmingly positive feedback for the simplicity of the modern new design and core functionality.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The team used MS Teamwork to track hours and tasks completed, as well as to communicate with us via the comments and email. They did have an almost 12-hour time difference, but they were always quick to respond to questions and requests and completed tasks as promised within the expected time frames the vast majority of the time.
They were careful not to overpromise on timelines, and explained the few minor delays on specific parts of the project as they cropped up in a timely and acceptable fashion.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were very impressed with their ability to not only present an elegant, striking new design for our website, but also to implement it nearly exactly as promised once it came down to the actual development. The team is always professional and prompt and fixes any bugs we notice as quickly and effectively as possible.
It was a joy to work with them and we look forward to working more with Capital Numbers in the future on an ongoing basis for our web-development needs.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There were several notable bugs that required fixing shortly after the new site went live -- but this was also a very substantial project with many balls to juggle, and the small number of bugs was within the realm of normalcy as nobody's perfect. The team responded to fix the bugs in a timely fashion without any major negative impact on the business.

I'm the CEO of a digital news publication. We publish longform stories on start-ups, internet economy, businesses, for paying users.
For what projects/services did your company hire Capital Numbers, and what were your goals?
With CN, we were looking to have some smart developers onboard who could take over all our frontend dev needs and execute it with precision, since we did not have an inhouse frontend engineer.
The project includes several tasks from carrying out design fixes to our website, both functionality wise and CSS, to align it with our design idea, implementing new features in the UI and creating webpage for a new product. The project is ongoing.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Online reviews, overall costs, and an interview process.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting for a brief on the requirements of the task and a second meeting the same day where we were introduced to the team who would work in coordination to ensure the tasks were taken care of.
The team took a day to understand the several elements of our website and the Figma screen we wanted to fix/ implement. We did quick daily catch ups to iron out any questions/ clarifications. The key deliverable was to ensure the UI on the website mirrors the Figma wireframes our designers had created.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
