Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a financial director at Verum, a construction laboratory that tests construction materials.

For what projects/services did your company hire Business Lab?

We hired Business Lab to develop an enterprise management system to increase the efficiency of our work.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to automate the business processes of our laboratory, organize electronic document management with clients, and increase the speed of the business.

How did you select this vendor?

Business Lab is one of the few companies that develop similar systems in the construction market.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

Over the last two years, Business Lab has been developing a system for all of our employees’ work. Directors, accountants, and designers use it.

Our employees fill in the primary data for calculation and receive the test result, based on algorithms. We managed to create a new standard of document exchange with customers. This exchange was to increase work speed and improve construction efficiency. Clients can receive necessary documents quicker.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a team of full-stack developers, a UX/UI designer, a QA tester, a scrummaster, and a product owner.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

No other construction lab in Ukraine works with the same standards as we do. The system covers all processes at our company. Thanks to Business Lab, we conduct about 5,000 tests monthly compared to that of our competitors.

How was the project management arranged and how effective was it?

Business Lab delivers quality work in a timely manner. We are extending the contract with them since we receive clear competitive advantages.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team offered to work on the SCRUM methodology, and we were extremely pleased with it.

Business Lab’s team does a fantastic job.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the assistant to the director of Zolotaya Polyana, a landlord company providing offices in a business center.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Business Lab?

We needed to develop an automatic system for managing our landlord offices.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us create a solution to control monthly payments and process documents. The first version was built as a web application, and the second one was built as an internal CRM (customer relationship management) system.

What is the team composition?

I worked with their director and a couple of team members. There were 10 people from their company involved in the project.

How did you come to work with Business Lab?

They got in touch with my director, and we made contact after that.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Business Lab in February 2016, and we finished the project in June of that year.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform has helped us communicate all relevant information with our team members quicker and more effectively.

How did Business Lab perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email, phone calls, and meetings. They were responsive; they’re an awesome team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They work quickly, they do the work really well, and we haven’t had any problems with them at all. They excel at everything; I don’t remember working with a better company. Whenever we looked for similar groups, we only came across companies working with freelancers. Business Lab has an actual in-house team, which impressed us.
