Facebook & Instagram Advertising for E-Commerce Company
"The best part of Brick Social is that you know who youāre working with and whoās running the ads."Ā
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Please describe your company and your position there.
Iām the head of growth at IntoConcrete. Weāre an e-commerce site that specializes in selling concrete items for peoplesā everyday lives, from home decor to accessories. We have watches with concrete dials, toilet brushes with concrete holders, and desk clocks made out of concrete.Ā
For what projects/services did your company hire Brick Social?
Weād been growing rapidly since 2020 and needed external help to continue enhancing our revenue through digital advertising. Our main goals were increased performance and stability.Ā
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our target channels were Facebook and Instagram ads. Brick Social took over those, as well as performed a bit of Google Ads work.Ā
What is the team composition?
We worked with two resources: Toby (Managing Director & Brand Manager) and Tony (CMO & Ads Manager)Ā
How did you come to work with Brick Social?Ā
I found out about them from a cold email. Toby reached out to me while I was looking for an outsourced vendor, and we clicked right away. I could tell that he was very personable. Additionally, we wanted to work with a tight team of people, and it canāt be tighter than a team of two people who really love what they do. From their first email, it felt like they were part of our team, mentioning our products and showing that they took their time to research us.Ā
How much have you invested with them?
We spent a little less than $10,000 with them, not including our ad spend.Ā
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from AprilāJune 2021.Ā
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Ā
We look at our return on ad spend (ROAS). Before working with Brick Social, we saw a lot of fluctuation in this metric and theyāve brought stability to our performance. Toby and Tony were personally running our account; the founder was in the weeds running the ads.Ā
How did Brick Social perform from a project management standpoint?
This is one of my favorite parts of working with them. We communicated mostly on Slack. Most large agencies will have a bi-weekly cadence and a large month-end report, but that doesnāt work for startups, in my opinion. I enjoy that theyāre fully integrated with usĀ and that we can reach out to them on Slack at any time. Theyāre very responsive, which is comforting. This type of collaboration isnāt very common.Ā
What did you find most impressive about them?
This goes back to them being a small team. They were genuinely passionate about what they were doing. For a small business, itās critical to hand over a piece of your work to an outside vendor. With large agencies, itās difficult to tell if theyāre putting time into your account and what type of resource is working on it. The best part of Brick Social is that you know who youāre working with and whoās running the ads. Additionally, theyāre constantly communicating with you. Theyāre an extension of our team.Ā
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since theyāre a small team, they donāt have in-house creatives to produce content. This is a consequence of them being just Toby and Tony at the moment. This isnāt a criticism, but a point to keep in mind. They produced some for us and worked with us to deliver recommendations on what we could make in-house, but it also would help to have a dedicated creative.Ā
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Theyāre very good communicators, so be sure to communicate well. Toby and Tony are passionate and want to learn about their clients, so give enough information for them to do their jobs well.Ā

Introduce your business and what you do there.
Iām the VP of an e-commerce company specializing in pet products; weāre a large online seller in stores like Amazon, Chewy, Wayfair, Wal-Mart, etc.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brick Social?
We didnāt have the knowledge to run Facebook Ads, so we needed help with that.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brick Socialās team properly put together advertisement campaigns over social media like Facebook and Instagram. They manage and optimize them daily for us to get the best conversion rates.
What is the team composition?
Weāve been working directly with Toby (Brand Manager) and Tony (Ads Manager).
How did you come to work with Brick Social?
They reached out to us to offer their services. It was perfect timing for what we wanted to do, so I talked to them to understand their business model. Everything blended perfectly with what we wanted to accomplish, so we ended up going with them.
How much have you invested with them?
Weāve spent under $10,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Theyāve been doing a great job putting our ads together on the Facebook platform. Theyāre testing and optimizing our ads, and thatās been delivering great conversion to sales results. They gather interested people on what we offer and drive them to our website or to one of the many online shopping platforms that weāre in ā Iām happy with the results.
How did Brick Social perform from a project management standpoint?
Theyāre based overseas, and theyāve been accessible even with the six-hour time difference. Weāve been doing emails and video chats whenever weāre both available.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Toby has done a great job understanding our business and our business model; heās been able to translate that into accomplishing our goals in terms of social media marketing. Their team can take directions perfectly and execute them.
Brick Social are good at what they do and understand the market and their clientās needs well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I donāt think thereās anything they can improve on ā Iāve had a positive experience with them throughout the engagement.
