Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of FSJ Solutions, a company that delivers innovative solutions, process management, and data management.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brenolabs?
We had a bank client that was looking to change their processes, data, and content related to loan applications. We needed a company to help us drive the project by providing skills and resources.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped in translating the business processes that we had defined together with the client and implemented them on various IBM systems using JavaScript. They set up the systems. I was more on the consulting side doing documentation.
Our latest project focuses on school systems. They’ve developed an e-schooling system to allow for virtual schooling due to the pandemic. They developed some of it ground up and some if it was integration with existing systems that had documented APIs.
What is the team composition?
My main contact person was Sanjay (Co-Founder). I’m not sure how many people he had engaged on his side, but we work with two team leads.
How did you come to work with Brenolabs?
I’ve known Sanjay for years. It was natural for me to reach out to him.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent over $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from September 2018–March 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve always been impressed with their timeliness. If things aren’t going the right way, they tell me early so we can act on it.
How did Brenolabs perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very used to working in western culture. Therefore, it’s easy to communicate with them. They ask questions if there’s something they don’t understand.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have very broad industry experience. I find it easy to discuss use cases with them. They’re very quick to understand what we’re trying to achieve and what’s important for the client.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No one is perfect but I can’t think of anything major that they need to improve. Every time there’s been issues, I pick up the phone and we sort it out.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Engage them early and establish communication.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a digital healthcare platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brenolabs?
We have a small development team but when COVID-19 happened, there was an instant demand for telemedicine which we needed to integrate immediately. We needed additional help.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped us develop the complete telemedicine frontend and backend, along with the payment gateway. We had 15-20 days to do it. They built the peer-to-peer video conferencing system for our application.
The other specifics were to connect with the existing patient database so that the patients could be sent a link and then the patient could connect back to the doctor requesting an appointment and then doing payment and getting a link for talking to the doctor on video.
They used JavaScript, jQuery, and other CSS frameworks. They also set up a separate server for managing the video. They used Landstack along with a CodeIgniter framework. They used Node.js for messaging.
What is the team composition?
There was one person coordinating and four people doing the development work.
How did you come to work with Brenolabs?
They were introduced to me by my brother.
How much have you invested with them?
The total project cost less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from April–June 2020. At the end of April, we rolled out the beta version. In May and June, we were improving and adding more features.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work was well received by everyone who has seen it so far. We were able to deliver all of our customer’s requirements, which is the best result we could have gotten.
How did Brenolabs perform from a project management standpoint?
They responded within 5–10 minutes regardless of when we contacted them. There were no language barriers, and their communication was always good. They followed-up on feedback on a daily basis.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They clearly understood what we wanted. They knew how to resolve problems.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’re good. We will definitely work with them again.
Brenolabs is communicative and sticks to deadlines. Even when there are setbacks or moments of confusion, the issues are easily remedied. Customers can expect a strong team with broad industry experience.
