A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a Health Nation (formerly AllForBody.com).
What challenge were you trying to address with bravelogy?
Our team engaged bravelogy for their development services. We were trying to establish ourselves in the Polish market by building a web platform to help us offer health and wellness services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The bravelogy team has helped us build a web platform, which we use to offer health and wellness services. They’ve also helped us build a CRM system tailor-made for our needs; it serves as an administration panel where we handle all payment methods, invoices, and medication processes.
For the CRM development, Konrad (Digital Transformation Consultant) has provided us with design consulting services. He’s helped us design everything and think through the infrastructure of our system. We want to scale up the CRM in the future, so bravelogy also guides us on how to be smarter and how not to spend our budget inefficiently.
After making progress in our business, we’ve used them again to build our mobile app, which helps us service lower-income clients with health coaching. We’ve started by developing native apps for iOS and Android. However, we’ve moved on to developing the app on React Native. For the backend, they’ve used Ruby on Rails.
At present, we continue to consult with Konrad, who is helping us put everything together in terms of software development. Since he has experience with large companies, we use his business knowledge as part of our relationship. Meanwhile, the technologies we’ve used for the projects include JavaScript, Angular, and Objective-C.
What is the team composition?
Apart from Konrad, we’ve also worked with four other people on the CRM, including a delivery manager and a designer. For the web app, six other software engineers have worked with us. For the coaching app, we’re using three other people, including a designer and a backend developer.
How did you come to work with bravelogy?
Before I moved to Poland, I was living in the same city as bravelogy. They were also recommended to us by some of our friends. We started to build a relationship, and that was when we started engaging with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2010, and then our second engagement occurred five years ago. Our current project started two months ago, so the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our first project with bravelogy has helped us achieve several millions of dollars in revenue, helping me establish myself in Poland. For the CRM project, the system they’ve developed has streamlined everything for us. As a result, we’ve cut down on administration times; the system has reduced the overall operational costs of our business — we’ve already had more than 200 employees and 1,000 monthly customers at that time.
For the mobile app project, we’ve gained some revenue from our B2B model. We’re currently at the stage where we’re using the mobile app they’re developing to raise funds. It’s in the beginning stages of a bootstrap funding round worth $400,000 — we’re still getting the first investments for this startup vision. Overall, bravelogy has played a huge part in terms of being smart and efficient about our technology.
How did bravelogy perform from a project management standpoint?
Our project management tools have evolved along with our projects. The engineers have used regular video calls and in-person meetings. We’ve also used Slack, Monday, Jira, and other tools. Their project managers have been good at communicating.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I trust bravelogy. They give me solutions that are good for my company — the team understands the business side of things. Even if they’re a technical team at the core, they understand our general business from being a startup to being a more mature company.
On top of that, the team is always honest as they try to help us by using their knowledge around implementing huge projects for national markets and international clients. We’ve felt greater engagement with them than other companies. They use a more tailor-made approach to our projects instead of a templated solution. Unlike other companies, bravelogy is always willing to listen to our problems and challenge our vision. Overall, they’re a good, honest, and transparent partner.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust Konrad. They do huge projects, and they know how tasks evolve and where you should spend your budget. In other words, they’re always a couple of steps ahead in terms of technology. Rely on their knowledge and expertise as they try to fully understand your business.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The project started with a workshop where we agreed on what is needed and what is out of scope. Then I received the first suggestions for application views. After confirming the direction of work, we received an interactive prototype of the application. At this stage, programming work began. We have agreed that we will work in two-week sprints.
In the first sprint, the supplier worked on integration with the charging station using API. Subsequently, the supplier worked on the web application, all views appeared after 3 sprints. The last stage focused on IOS applications and testing the solution. The supplier used the following technologies: .Net, Angular, SWIFT.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Up to 6 people worked for us during the project (3x developers, tester, UI/UX designer, and PO). I was in contact mainly with the Lead Programmer and PO.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The project was not easy as we had a limited budget and the initial scope was very large. We wanted to confirm that what we have planned is achievable. Ultimately, all the most important assumptions of the project were achieved. The project is a success, we have positive feedback from our users. Currently, we are collecting requirements for the next stage. The quality of the software is at a very good level.
