Web Design, Web Development, and Collateral
We worked with La Familia to create a beautiful website, as well as powerpoint, business cards, letterhead, and more.

UI Design for Event Planning App
We worked with RAW to redesign their new SAAS platform, Platform. In it you can manage artists, plan showcases, and sell tickets. We helped them from the screen flow to wireframes to complete prototypes.

Web Design and Custom Development
P.S. Arts wanted a unique, colorful, usable website design that reflected their style, but attracted parents to sign up. We helped create a custom Wordpress website for them to highlight their programs and tell their story.

MOCS | Makers of Culture
Mocs was looking for a bold, edgy design. Our web design explored a minimalistic, typography-heavy design.
Winner of Awwwards Mobile Excellence and Web Design Honorable Mention.

Nomi Network
Nomi Network creates pathways to safe and sustainable employment for women and girls in India and Cambodia. They needed a website to tell their story more effectively to raise more funds for their programs.
Using their strong color palette, we designed a blocky website, leaning heavily on ethical storytelling and funneled call-to-actions. We also worked with them to create a matching online store, beautiful annual report, and targeted e-mail campaigns.

Freely In Hope
We love a mission that has true impact in the norm of society. Freely In Hope protects human rights and and prevents sexual violence in Kenya and Zambia through education programs. We're proud to partner with a voice that stands against violence.
Using hexagons to mirror their logo, diagonal lines to break up content, and cutouts of fabric patterns in their brand colors, we created a fresh, unique website design.
We made it all on a drag-and-drop Wordpress builder, empowering their team in America or Africa to make updates quickly. They have been able to create their own landing pages and event pages without the help of an agency, allowing them to grow without anything holding them back.

John Burton Advocates for Youth
John Burton Advocates for Youth improves the quality of life for youth in California who have been in foster care or homeless. They needed a new look and a more functional site.
Our goal was to focus on clarity and simplicity. We rebranded their organization to a simple JBAY icon and modern, sans-serif text.
Most importantly, we built a site to organize and house over 300 publications and webinars, making the user journey easier for their partners to find what they need. Partners can now filter by field, need, or search their extensive library.

AskHomey App Design
Managing a home can be complicated and stressful. Askhomey helps you fall in love with your home all over again. We helped AskHomey create their brand, voice, logo, and custom app design.
Using the round, friendly feeling from the logo, we created an illustration heavy app design with rounded corners. We worked with them to create a clickable MVP with over 145 screens for desktop and mobile. The main goal is to make all action items noticeable, but still keep the app fun and the user enjoying all interactions. We helped them go from 4-6 clicks per action down to 1-2 clicks.

Alliance for Children's Rights
The Alliance for Children's Rights is a nonprofit organization who provides free legal services and advocacy for caregivers, adoptive parents, children, and teens in Los Angeles County's foster care system. But they struggled to update their website, and improve the look of their brand. So they hired Brave.
We helped the Alliance for Children's Rights make it easier for visitors to donate, volunteer, and learn more about the organization. Alliance reported that it's so much easier for their team to update the website, saving them time and heartache. They also saw online applications come through easier, with less calls and emails asking for help. We hope the new site will help many families in Los Angeles in the years to come.

Website Design & Development for Arts Education Nonprofit
"Brave Factor was excellent at project management."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the associate director of communications at P.S. ARTS, a Los Angeles-based arts education organization that serves public schools throughout California.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brave Factor?
We needed help building our website to enhance our communication with our different audiences.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brave Factor designed and developed our website from scratch. We gave them inspirational images to use on the site, and we also provided our style guide and reference websites during our initial conversation.
The site’s homepage contains an overview of what we do, and it also has a programs page that schools can fill out to get our different programs. Additionally, there’s a page that features videos of art projects and activities that people can do from home. Lastly, we have a web store and a donation page.
Brave Factor also updated our design style guide, and they were instrumental in expanding our brand colors. That’s been a big change for us because it elevated our brand in some way.
What is the team composition?
I worked primarily with Lauren (Co-Founder & Creative Director) and Andrew (CTO).
How did you come to work with Brave Factor?
Someone recommended Brave Factor to me. We hired them because they were very thorough in providing information about their services and what they would do for us.
Additionally, Brave Factor engaged mainly with nonprofits — we found it appealing to work with someone who knew what we needed. They had clear communication and branding, and they had a hands-on approach to design.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $12,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement lasted from March–September 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Brave Factor’s website had been very useful for our needs. Just on the site’s first week, we received two inquiries online — that had never happened before.
How did Brave Factor perform from a project management standpoint?
Brave Factor was excellent at project management. Lauren and I had weekly one-on-one Zoom meetings. Depending on which part of the process we were on, I emailed her 1–5 times a day. She was very responsive and helpful. I had a lot of questions and requests for changes, and she accommodated me without any hesitation.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed with Brave Factor’s quality of work, communication style, and thoroughness in every part of the project. I can’t imagine who else I could have worked with who would have done such a great job.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Follow Lauren’s recommendations — she knows what she’s doing.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of operations for the National Foster Youth Institute, a small but mighty national nonprofit organization. We work with current and former foster children aged 18–30 years old to elevate their voices and include them when decision-makers, legislators, and local officials are designing policies around foster youth and child welfare concerns.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brave Factor?
Our former website was built on an outdated platform, so it no longer could be updated. We were able to do some design changes to the site, but we were very limited nonetheless, so we hired Brave Factor after this attempt at redesigning the site to start over.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brave Factor helped us redo our website from scratch on WordPress. We already had a style guide with the colors and fonts that we used, so we didn’t want to change that. However, they worked with us to design the website’s appearance and guided us through a thought process to make those designs attract the right target audiences. Ultimately, we upgraded the fonts, but we kept the colors and our logo.
Brave Factor also placed a video at the forefront of our site and improved its general layout. Currently, they’re also improving the logo on our letterhead, and they’re working on creating a pop-up box to announce our major events.
What is the team composition?
We mainly work with Lauren (Co-Founder & Creative Director). Before working with her, we also worked with another person who helped us identify our target audience. Additionally, we’ve worked with Andrew (CTO) on the development side of the project.
How did you come to work with Brave Factor?
They came highly recommended by the company that hosts our website. For us, it was important not to have yes people on this project; we wanted a thought partner for designing this site. Brave Factor had also designed other sites for the foster care and child welfare communities, so they had a lot of insight to offer us, which would create a great partnership.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $12,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in late January 2021, and they completed the website in July 2021, but we’re still working together to this day.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Before working with Brave Factor, our site was very basic. However, our new website has a 2021 feel, and it is very accessible for our audiences. We’ve also gotten great feedback from our board members, our staff, and the foster youth that we work with.
Our whole system is easy to use, which makes everything more efficient. We’re still working through some things, but the overall feedback is very positive.
How did Brave Factor perform from a project management standpoint?
Brave Factor’s project management is great. They’ve always been on time, and they’ve kept us abreast of any changes or issues.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Brave Factor is a thought partner for us. I don’t think we would have gotten this far without their leadership and insight.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the beginning, we had a little problem with the process. It was a good process, but we hit a glitch regarding time management. However, Lauren came in and addressed it promptly. Ultimately, everything came on time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Brave Factor has a lot of knowledge, so be willing to listen to their advice. For example, they’ve brought up a lot of issues along the way, including things that we hadn’t thought about at all because we didn’t know better.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Principal and Creative Director for Vidi Global, a design and content marketing firm based out of Orlando, FL. I lead top-level operations, business development, and creative direction for all major projects that flow through the agency.
For what projects/services did your company hire Brave Factor, and what were your goals?
We partnered with Brave Factor to redefine and create an updated brand and digital strategy for a national association. Our goals were to establish a brand platform for the association which could guide all future branding and marketing efforts - including a website redesign, content overhaul, and long-term goal setting.
How did you select this vendor?
After meeting Brave Factor through a shared professional group, we aligned on different values and their work really spoke for itself. Lauren is a highly skilled facilitator and goes the distance to make sure Brave Factor's clients receive an end-product that will be impactful for their investment.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
To begin, Brave Factor worked with us to define and make the client's goals tangible/achievable. Afterwards, Brave Factor led a few discovery sessions and workshops to draw out the client's main priorities in regards to their brand moving forward.
Once discovery was complete, Brave Factor synthesized our learnings into an actionable brand strategy document as well as provided an in-depth guideline and assessment of the client's website - granting them a priority list of next steps with development. The brand strategy document was the milestone necessary to move into the next phase of digital marketing strategy - which was my firm's responsibility in the engagement.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked directly with Lauren, the founder and principal.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Being that the client is a national organization, there are many board members with influence who must be bought into a project such as an updated brand approach.
Our client POC, who is the current Marketing Director, shared that the brand document provided really helped convey visually and reputably the developed direction for the organization's brand moving forward. The presentation of the brand strategy was so successful, that the client's now have a sense of urgency to jump into implementation as soon as possible.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Brave Factor was on time to every meeting, despite being on the opposite side of the world. They were organized and effective in their communications.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their commitment to going above and beyond to make sure the client gets use out of the strategic work. Brave Factor isn't just a design and development shop. They really brought intuitive solution-based thinking throughout the process and made sure the client's goals were always top of mind. Also was very impressed with their ability to work with us in the United States from Asia.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Founder and Executive Director of Eleison Foundation, a private operating foundation that combats human trafficking and gender-based violence.
For what projects/services did your company hire Brave Factor?
We hired Brave Factor for design and development of our new website, as well as the development of templates for marketing collateral.
How did you select Brave Factor and what were the deciding factors?
An industry colleague recommended Brave Factor to us. We selected Brave Factor because of their specialization in working with nonprofits and their experience working with smaller organizations focusing on human trafficking. We felt they would understand our ethos and needs.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We engaged in preliminary discovery workshops to uncover our goals and create a roadmap for the website's strategy. Brave Factor created brand guidelines for Eleison using the content from the discovery sessions. We collaborated on a content audit and the Brave Factor team created stylescapes, wireframes, and designs for our project.
We selected between the design options and the team made revisions. The Brave Factor team build the website and we collaborated on revisions. They tested the page for ADA compliance and conducted quality assurance. For the collateral, the Brave Factor team created two designs for all items, which we provided feedback on and were revised for our final review and approval.
How many resources from the Brave Factor team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We primarily worked with one of the Co-Founders. The other Co-Founder and a Strategy Consultant supported our work, along with the design team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are extremely pleased with our new website and collateral. Brave Factor was able to accomplish all of the goals we set out for the project. In addition to the beautiful design, they created products that were very functional for a small nonprofit. They adapted to meet our needs.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The Brave Factor team was organized, prompt, communicative, and easy to work with. We had no problems collaborating across teams even though we were based in three different countries. The entire process was very smooth.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They worked hard to understand our ethos and values and to create something that would work for us. Since we are a very small organization, many things had to be created from scratch and they were very supportive throughout the process. They went above and beyond to provide a high-quality product each step of the way.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We wish we could work with them more on other projects.

Branding, Logo & Web Dev for Nonprofit Organization
"Brave Factor was just incredible."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the office manager for John Burton Advocates for Youth, a nonprofit based in San Francisco. We focus on policy, advocacy, technical assistance, and training to help better the lives of youth who are aging out of the foster care system, as well as those who have experienced homelessness.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brave Factor?
Our website was extremely outdated, so we needed someone to help us modernize it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Brave Factor redid two of our websites: our main website and a site for one of our projects. Additionally, they completely revamped our branding, logo, and color scheme. To do this, they conducted branding exercises with us to help us learn more about our business.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with four people from their organization, but I mainly interfaced with Lauren (Co-Founder).
How did you come to work with Brave Factor?
We looked at organizations similar to us and checked out their websites. We contacted our favorite one, and they referred us to Brave Factor.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost around $35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from September 2020–May 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to their efforts, we have a fresh new look. The branding exercises they organized illuminated our identity for our staff. Furthermore, the site helped clear up any confusion about what we do, which helps us better connect with donors. A lot of our visitors had no idea what we actually did because the site was so messy. Brave Factor really streamlined our website.
How did Brave Factor perform from a project management standpoint?
The team was very communicative. I never had to hunt them down to answer our questions. Lauren was on top of staying in touch and keeping us updated on their progress through a weekly Zoom Meeting. We also interfaced through email. I was never left wondering about what they were doing.
Moreover, the team was very accommodating — we went through so many revisions, and they remained highly patient. We worked together very well, and I’m grateful for their help. Given the opportunity, we’d work with them again.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When we worked with other vendors, sometimes I felt that they didn’t want to deal with us when I came to them with questions. Either I had to wait a very long time, or their attitude was lacking. However, Lauren was always so helpful and accommodating. They had a quick turnaround time with requests, but even if she couldn't fix it right away, she’d let me know that she was working on it. She never left me wondering if she saw my email, which was great. They exceeded my expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I honestly can’t think of anything they could do better. Brave Factor was just incredible.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be ready to do your part. They’ll do better if you stay closely involved with the project.

We're seeking a firm that could provide brand identify support (name, logo, "look/feel") as well as creating an engaging media literacy website for youth in Indonesia.
How did you select Brave Factor and what were the deciding factors?
We sent out an RFP to multiple firms, but Brave Factor was the only firm based in Indonesia that responded to the RFP. We were impressed by Brave Factor's responsiveness, portfolio, budget, and we also knew that they were hired by a counterpart organization to develop a complementary media literacy game. These factors combined made Brave Factor our top choice.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Unsure how many people were directly involved in this project, but the team was in communication with four people:
- Lauren (Co-Founder and Creative Director
- Chris (Co-Founder and Finance)
- Andrew (Developer)
- Maura (Brand Strategy)
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
At this stage, it is too early to comment on site analytics, as we are just now commencing a campaign that will connect with our target audience. But I will say that the immediate outcome of the project is a fully functional site that we believe is highly relevant to our target audience, visually engaging, and a novel value add.
While we the client provided most of the technical content, Brave Factor's team provided critical support in contextualizing the content for our target audience in Indonesia and when necessary, challenging us on our assumptions about the best course of action. We are very grateful to Brave Factor for toeing the line between delivering on what the client wants and addressing our very real blind spots.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Management and communication were seamless, adaptive, and client focused. From the start, Brave Factor made it easy to schedule both an initial consultation and subsequent discovery sessions through a 3rd party scheduling software. After that time, we agreed on weekly status check calls, complimented by read access to Brave Factors Asana platform.
This was incredibly helpful, from a client perspective, to get a birds eye view of how Brave Factor was managing the workflow, without pulling the client into the minutiae. Lauren and here team were very responsive, always fielding queries within one business day.
Given the complicated nature of our contract (merging our work with that of another client's work), I am impressed by how Brave Factor engaged us with high levels of professionalism and taking great care to demonstrate that our specific needs on the site development process were validated and addressed in a timely fashion, all the while ensuring a seamless integration between our product and that of our partner's.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I have worked with a number of creative firms (marketing, brand discovery, web, change management, etc). Brave Factor stands out in that they bring genuine curiosity to the table, which, as a client, makes me all the more excited to work with them.
I felt that Lauren and her team were not only interested in delivering a quality product, but that they were interested in our work. The Brave Factors mix of passion and professionalism is a rare combination and one that makes them a truly rewarding firm to work with.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Brave Factor exceeded expectations in virtually every area of their work. As a client, I feel that we pushed the Brave Factor to the limit of the agreed upon scope and they happily obliged us, the client, at every turn. Add to this the fact that we were integrating our project with another clients project, the fact that Brave Factor happily accepted this challenge and was ready to pivot/adapt to meet both clients' needs is a true testament to their pursuit of excellence.
I wish I could come up with something constructive to share with the Brave Factor team to help them improve. I feel I am doing a disservice by not offering some suggestions for improvement, but their work quality, their professionalism, and their creativity are all so superlative, I cannot think of any suggestions for improvement.

Branding & Website Dev for Organic Farm

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am an organic farm owner. Our farms is one of the few here in Bali who are Organic Certified by the government. We distribute our produce to supermarkets, juice producers, and direct sales to consumers.
For what projects/services did your company hire Brave Factor?
We needed help with branding because our farm is pretty old school, we didn't have to do much of marketing when we distribute to supermarkets across the island. But when pandemic happened, we were forced to distribute locally and retail our own products.
For this reason we needed people to know who we are. Brave Factor helped us with Branding Identity, Website Design + Custom eCommerce, and provide social media & email templates that is in line with our values.
What were your goals for this project?
First we as a farm internally wanted to have a clear identity of who we are and what we stand for and what makes us unique so we are able to confidently communicate our values to our customers face to face. We also wanted to be able to identify clearly who our target consumers are.
Then we needed a unique to our values, comprehensive marketing strategy to reach these clients through a website, email, social media outlets, print, and also through our daily farm updates in instagram.
We also needed an eCommerce site to make our day to day order process simple and effective with less chance of mistakes.
How did you select Brave Factor?
We were recommended by a friend since they focuses on non-profits, which luckily they were interested since our farm is a social enterprise. We farm with minimal impact to the environment and we prioritise local workers to build local economy.
So after initial consultation, we feel pretty confident that they exactly get what we needed and they also expanded our basic ideas into something we never thought of and we were real excited!
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We started with filling out a series of questionnaires describing who we are and what's important to us like our values and who are our current customer profiles, and how are we marketing our produce now.
Then we have a face to face meeting and narrowing down our values and who are our customers and came up with branding statements, branding identity, branding colors, and it went as specific as to our branding fonts.
When this is done then they help us create our custom website, including a custom eCommerce from ordering till payment processing which incorporates our fonts, colors, branding statements, and helped with copywriting all the written contents.
Then they created us social media templates that we post weekly on instagram and a template for weekly newsletter. They also helped us by giving us key words to use and avoid in our daily videos to strengthen our brand.
What was the team composition?
The whole team worked on my project and they were very professional. Branding strategy was done with the director Lauren. Web designing was taken cared of by her and then developed by Andrew.
One of her team members also helped me with label designs. So they work very professional and in a very timely manner with great team work.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Yes since our project launched in June, we have a 300% increase in sales. Our customers are able to identify why they support us in a matter of 2 minutes after reading our branding statement.
They all loved the website and our social media coverages. And our eCommerce website has decreased our time to process orders by a lot so we can focus on improving our customer experience.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very smooth, they we meet on a weekly basis to check in on the progress and see if we are in the right direction. They met all the deadlines set. Our communications were really good as well and yes they are always on time for our meetings and come prepared.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
One thing that was very evident was they definitely over-delivered. Our expectations were pretty basic with how much we were paying. We basically shared our small ideas and they put priority and so much focus into this. While it seems simple like any great design, but the thoughts and work put into this we now realise is a lot. So when we saw the final product, we were blown away.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There is always improvement, we are hoping they can help more small social enterprises in the future!

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Communications Director at a non profit organization in Los Angeles, CA. We provide legal advocacy and social services to support children, young adults, and families impacted by foster care. I lead all communications efforts for the organization and joined the organization in Fall of last year.
For what projects/services did your company hire Brave Factor?
When I joined the organization, I found that the website was over 10 years old, and struggled to update or make current our online presence. The outdated site prevented donors from being able to easily engage with our work and presented challenges for our clients to properly access information and resources. Brave Factor came in and supported us with a complete redesign and build of our site.
What were your goals for this project?
We needed the site to be updated to a more intuitive, user-friendly site that was not only a way to share impact, but also be a functional resource for our clients and partners. We wanted resources and updates on the site to be sharable and for clients, donors, and users to be able to easily interact with us online and find what they're looking for.
How did you select this vendor?
We had received a recommendation and reviewed three other companies. We selected this vendor because of their well-composed proposal, professionalism, thoughtfulness, design aesthetic, and price. Members of our leadership team reviewed the proposal and I made the selection, and am very glad that I did!
Describe the project in detail.
We had several discovery meetings with our team and their team to better understand audience, aesthetic, and strategy. From their, the Brave Factor team went to work on putting together various design options for us to review.
I then took those to my internal team to survey feedback and worked with their team directly to implement changes. Once we finalized the main design, the team built out the rest of the pages and I was involved with reviewing and providing feedback until completion.
What was the team composition?
I worked with the Co-Founder/Creative Director for the entirety of the project. She managed her team of developers and designers and made that part simple for us by communicating via Asana.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since launch, we continue to hear positive feedback from board members, donors, and partners on the usability of the site, and how effectively it communicates our work.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Workflow between myself and their team was seamless. We used Asana and Lauren did a wonderful job of managing the project and scheduling so that we were on target for launch and nothing was missed!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The Brave Factor team has a knack for identifying the unique needs and priorities of a non profit client, taking that knowledge and incorporating it seamlessly into design. I was impressed with the first look at design options presented to us—they were ALL very strong.
At every decision making point, I felt we were choosing the best of many great options, and that gives me confidence that we selected the right vendor.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Despite being an international team, Brave Factor did such a great job of staying on time, remaining open with communication, and delivered the final project on target. No complaints!

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and co-founder of a property portal. We facilitate property management by pooling home maintenance and financing data in one place.
What challenge were you trying to address with Brave Factor?
We were looking for a partner to help us design our main app offering. We also asked them to create a brand style guide for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We presented Brave Factor with wireframes for some screens we wanted in the app. Their team further fleshed out that prototype and eventually developed a fully-responsive app that’s for both desktop and mobile. It’s currently in closed testing with friends and family.
We then engaged them to design our website. Since we wanted to keep our designs consistent, they delivered brand guidelines—which includes colors and fonts—to reference in future builds. We’ve requested that they produce the HTML they used for their design work with us. We hand Brave Factor’s designs over to our outsourced development team for implementation.
What is the team composition?
We work primarily with Lauren (Co-Founder & Creative Director, Brave Factor) and Jess (Head of Accounts & Strategy, Brave Factor), but I know that they have a team behind them.
How did you come to work with Brave Factor?
One of our team members knew Lauren from working with her team at a previous job.
How much have you invested with them?
The total spend on the project has been between $10,000–$25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started roughly in September 2019, and it's still ongoing. We’ve extended the scope of our functionalities, so they’re doing the design work for that.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been thrilled with them. The quality of their work is very good, so everyone has been amazed at what’s been done. It’s outstanding how they manage to coordinate seamlessly with our development team, another offshore partner who's based in India.
It’s important to us that we enjoy working with any partner, and this collaboration has been great. It’s truly been an excellent business relationship so far.
How did Brave Factor perform from a project management standpoint?
They stick to their word about pricing and deliverables. They’re also quite flexible and give us more than what we anticipate.
Their PM approach has been extremely effective. We share an online tool to track project progress and challenges, and we also have weekly check-ins to review progress. InVision keeps us in the loop about their design work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They excel at getting to grips with project requirements and are great decision-makers. They’re phenomenally flexible when it comes to implementing improvements that I hadn’t thought of before. Having said that, they’re also great at simply executing, especially if we’re in a time crunch.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so. They gave us a clear idea up-front about what they could and couldn’t do.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be as frank as you can with your feedback. You’ll get the most out of their work by maintaining open lines of communication.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Chief Delivery Officer and Co-Founder for an ambitious start-up venture that incorporates a rich data platform with both B2B and B2C channels.
For what projects/services did your company hire Brave Factor?
Brave Factor were engaged to design the UX/UI for the Phase 1 B2C App (both Desktop and Mobile) and the contract was extended to deliver the corresponding HTML templates. Brave Factor also delivered our (soon to launch) public website/landing pages.
What were your goals for this project?
To deliver a highly-professional B2C responsive web app.
How did you select this vendor?
Personal recommendation from a Co-founder that had worked with Brave Factor in the past.
Describe the project in detail.
Brave Factor helped us to structure the B2C App including all navigation and page flow. They delivered 146 Desktop wireframes and then a separate, corresponding Mobile wireframe for each one, optimised for the smaller form-factor. Brave Factor helped us to select fonts, custom graphics and colour schemes that communicate our company's message. These were all captured in a comprehensive Style Guide and set of digital assets. Brave Factor then delivered corresponding HTML for all the wireframes in a series of efficiently-managed sprints that reflected our prioritisation.
What was the team composition?
We were supported throughout the project by a strong project lead, two experienced designers and a web development manager/tech lead.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our startup is still in 'stealth mode' so I am not currently able to share public URLs. This will become possible in April 2020.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was highly effective; Brave provided collaborative tools for project/sprint management, team discussion, UX design review/comments and HTML review/comments. These tools and processes all worked very well. Brave Factor are always highly-professional and also *fun* to deal with.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Brave Factor always went the extra mile, e.g. researching competitors and other market offerings to ensure that our proposition would be best-of-breed and highly-usable. Brave Factor helped us translate complex (and often-times somewhat confused!) requirements into tangible solutions.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think of. We have been delighted with the collaboration and have now taken out further SOWs for the next steps in the project.
Brave Factor’s work resulted in a functional website that obtained inquiries and generated excitement just in its first week, meeting the client’s expectations. Their thorough approach and high-quality work were impressive. They were responsive, communicative, and accommodating as a partner.
