Bell Lane Coffee Roasters
Background
Established in 2012, Bell Lane is an award-winning speciality coffee roaster based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. Their team has over 30 years of combined experience in the coffee industry. Only the best coffee makes it out of Bell Lane.
Farmed and sourced, prepared and roasted, poured and loved. If they can’t give you a taste that’s exceptional, then they’re not doing what they set out to do.
Business Challenge
Over the last four years, the Bell Lane team has worked hard to create an outstanding roastery, relentlessly focusing on quality, quality, quality. They’d travel to origin when permitted to meet coffee producers first-hand. They’d learn from the farmers and producers they met; they’d build relationships with everyone within their coffee supply chain. This relationship offers security to the farmer, their families, and communities, and security to Bell Lane to deliver quality-focused coffee.
We helped the owners rediscover why they’re so fanatical about a little roasted bean; developed a revitalised, symbolic and meaningful brand identity to help share their unique story about their passion and evolution with coffee and create an engaging platform to educate coffee-lovers on their process and hero the people behind farm-to-cup.

LLRG5 - Packaging Desgin
The design challenge
LLRG5 are an Irish based Pharma company exclusively manufacturing commercially available products containing Organic Silicon G5® as per the original formula of Norbert Duffaut (1959).
Their products have been scientifically proven to enhance bone, cardiovascular, and cognitive health and increase overall wellbeing. Since 1999, LLRG5 have found success with their core range of 5 products across the US and continental Europe.
Our challenge was to create a new premium packaging system for each product and the outer packaging while sourcing suitable receptacles (tubs, jars and bottles) for each price point in this new range. The joint Cream and Cleanser are in high-grade plastic containers, while the SPF, Mist and the MMST cream are in premium smoked glass jars and bottles.
Resolution with all key features of your completed design
LLRg5 felt there was a gap in the market for premium, science-backed holistic supplements and products with brands such as La Praire, La Mer and Sisley dominating.
When creating the packaging for the new range, it was essential to balance serious science with the beauty/cosmetic aesthetic while keeping a link to the LLRG5 core range of products. The 'G5' icon was brought to prominence in the packaging as we discovered that their current audience (particularly the French, often refer to LLRG5 as just 'G5'.
The G5 is foil blocked on the outer packaging within a debossed rectangle geometric shape. This geometric shape is carried forward to each piece in the range as a consistent identifier.
We decided to use black for the outer packaging and the three products where it was less important to see the contents. This strong colour separated it from the core range and enabled us to create distinctive photography as part of the ongoing launch campaign.

Dacha Drinks - A Splash of Cocktail Magic
Background
The global pandemic has encouraged us all to slow down, reminding us that the simplest pleasures are the most important: the uncomplicated joy of spending time with family and friends, enjoying local, home-grown products together and raising a glass to a happy future. Dacha Drinks is about celebrating that connection.
From Russia to Ireland, from Daria’s garden in Co. Cavan to your home, from a standard gin and tonic to a special signature cocktail. Whether you’re tired of the typical combinations or want a special flavour that’ll make you feel like you’ve gone out to a bar, Dacha Drinks helps you mix custom cocktails quickly and easily. Choose from orange and basil, raspberry and thyme, or sweet rose-coloured rhubarb to transform drinks at home into an indulgent, enjoyable experience.
Our challenge was to create a brand platform that gave homage to Russian traditions, Daria’s childhood nostalgia of picking fresh fruits and vegetables in her family’s summer cottage (Dacha) and a connection to nature – Daria’s home-grown garden ingredients and recipes. The identity was to fuse both Russian and Irish cultures together with a spirited twist.

Miller Brothers
Crafting beauty and branding from stone.
Background Miller Brothers Stone is an Irish owned family-run company specialising in stone fabrication & stone flooring, with a fanatical approach to detail, finishing & installation for homes and interiors throughout Ireland and Europe. They awaken stone, allowing it to reach its true potential. Business Challenge People, quality and tradecraft, are the central values of Miller’s family business. But not only that: In every one of the characterful stone pieces, you will also find a passion for materials, forms, colours and an extraordinary instinctive feel. These values and features must be instilled and united in a new corporate identity that will enable the business to reach new audiences and international markets.
Solution Every slab of stone needs individual handling and care, to develop its distinctive character. A strength highlighted by the rebrand and new corporate design. Personality and values, as well as the stunning aesthetics of the stone, are now interpreted in a new modern and unique identity. An emotional world has been developed around this elegant and natural brand to portray its true heart and dedication to crafting the most beautiful stone.

Suzie McAdam
A new brand for The Design Seeker.
Background Formed in 2011, Suzie Mc Adam Design is a progressive interior design studio providing the very best interior architecture and design services for both residential and commercial projects. The studio is known for its playful and original style, merging different eras and moments of design seamlessly. They don’t employ a ‘house style’, rather, each project is a holistic and unique journey that is a reflection of the client’s needs and the function of the architecture.
Business Challenge Employing an ‘Endorsed Brand Architecture’, the challenge was to refine the ‘Suzie Mc Adam’ brand and create a distinct visual identity for a new service offering called ‘The Design Seeker‘. The new sub-brand is to incorporate subtle characteristics and associations of the parent brand ‘Suzie Mc Adam’ while preserving the uniqueness to stand alone once launched in the marketplace. Solution As Suzie is the driving force behind the new Design Seeker retail brand, we felt it was important to leverage the success of Suzie’s personal brand. It was vital that both brands were visually complementary and shared a similar brand architecture. We used the bee icon from the original Design Seeker branding as a starting point for both brands. Rhatigan and Hick
Adding a modern twist to traditional craftsmanship.
Background Rhatigan & Hick are an Irish furniture design and manufacturing company based in County Wicklow. Taking only the finest raw materials and blending them with their experience, they make beautiful kitchens and furniture by hand, balancing functionality and design with vigour and vision.
Business Challenge Not connecting with its target demographic, the existing brand needed to better communicate their positioning in a relevant and engaging way without catching their loyal clientele off guard. Solution To subtly create a more cohesive look, a more extendable set of design elements, a fresher and modern aesthetic that grabs attention, and higher-quality and more trustworthy image from the existing brand identity. St. Mel's Brewing Company
Established in 2013, St. Mel's Brewing Company is an Irish-owned independent brewery based in Co. Longford aims to brew the highest quality beers from the best possible ingredients, combining innovation, passion, and tradition. While they're undoubtedly serious about their beer, founders Eoin and Liam don't take themselves too seriously. Nothing gives them greater joy than knowing that their beer is enjoyed across the nation.
Our challenge lay in increasing brand differentiation against key competitors while capturing the brand heritage, and balance with modern and contemporary relevance.
The new identity needed to focus on craftsmanship, reflect modern-day Ireland, be proudly independent, and confidently compete in a busy urban market. It was essential to position St. Mel's as an independent brewery and not simply a craft brewer. Craft brewing is a method, which even large multinationals can claim to do.
We felt it was important to honour the previous identity and brand when we got to the design stage. Although it seemed a little outdated, it had personality, something that some new brands are missing as everything becomes a little too slick and minimal.
We went with a more is more approach and included key visual features from the original brand - The crozier od St. Mel himself, the shield, and the angled aspect of the previous logo . The addition of INDEPENDENT BREWING CO around the centre shield enforces that key message and gives the logo a unique and distinguished look.
We created a hierarchal system and contemporary colour palette for the beer labelling that works for the classic range and allows the brand to be expressive for their seasonal small-batch brews.

Braeburn Coffee
Background
For many years, Applegreen has put everything in to building up and delivering an outstanding customer experience with their service stations. Whether you’re on the move for business or pleasure, they’ve worked hard to provide everything you need on the road. And when it comes to coffee, their customer focus is no different.
We’re proud to introduce Braeburn Coffee, demonstrating their commitment to making sure you get top quality coffee, all day every day. They’ve combined the freshness and vitality of their new brand with barista-level service to give you the very best of Applegreen in one high-quality cup.
Business Challenge
It’s a crowded marketplace, with an ever-growing breed of artisan coffee brands appearing in service station forecourts and shops across the nation – from the larger cities to small towns. We’re increasingly spoiled for choice.
Our challenge was to create a welcoming, energetic and imaginative identity for a new coffee brand within the Applegreen portfolio. It wasn’t just about formulating the right look or serving the best on-the-go coffee. It’s about creating a brand experience that speaks about the high-quality coffee and how good that makes people feel. It’s the experience, which gives a double-shot boost to the brand and encourages customer loyalty. Passion, mastery and dependability are some of the cornerstones of the strategic brand development and messaging for Braeburn Coffee.

Stork and Co - With you while you grow
Background
Stork & Co. is an Irish lifestyle brand that creates modern clothing & accessories for little adventurers. The company was founded by Irish sisters, Sophie Cafolla and Dr. Vicky O’Dwyer, a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist. The sisters have five children between them and so continually utilise their personal and professional experience to develop products that are practical and fun.
Currently stocked in Kilkenny shops nationwide, online and have recently opened their first multipurpose retail shop.
Business Challenge
When we began this project, The Stork Box launched with pre-packed maternity hospital bags, so it was everything you needed for your labour stay. Since the last COVID lockdown, noticing a baby boom, they went from exclusively online to opening a bricks-and-mortar shop. Renaming to Stork & Co, the business has become a full clothing and accessories company for children from zero to five years.
To ensure the brand seamlessly aligned with the business’s ability to dynamically adapt to the market’s needs during the pandemic and giving Stork & Co and their culture an advantage, our challenge was to breathe adaptability into the created visual design and word-mark. We designed a more flexible framework adaptable across all current and future touch-points for the brand from store signage, point-of-sale, product design, labels, packaging, online marketing, and social content.

Diamond Furniture
Background
For more than 25 years, William Diamond has seen the Irish consumer continuously seek inspiration and expertise to help them make their home the best it can be. Surrounded by experienced and key personnel who have been part of the Diamond team for decades, they work together, pooling resources to inspire and excite customers. That is why today when you walk into the Diamond Furniture showroom, you’ll engage and be advised by interiors specialists determined to help you make the best choices for your home.
Business Challenge
Despite its long-standing reputation as a trusted furniture retailer in Ireland, the Diamond brand has become outdated. Under threat from emerging local and European competition as well as ever-changing trends and consumer buying behaviours, the brand foundation and strategy need to be reassessed and redeveloped enabling the creation of a more sophisticated look and identity system that would remain consistent across their existing and new business channels. The WOW factor is needed.
Solution
A trusted and sophisticated identity which conveys character and style. It has an eye-catching colour range and uses bold, vibrant, natural imagery. The logo uses a contemporary serif font and a simple sans serif to convey style and simplicity.

Beautybuys.com
Background
Beauty Buys brings a previously unseen layer of sophistication to the online shopping experience. Combining the convenience of shopping from home or work with a level of customer service usually associated only with high-end stores, Beauty Buys rewards the discerning shopper with a superb range of fragrance, skincare and cosmetic products delivered swiftly to their door, packaged with care that will be a joy to open.
Challenge
More than any other generation before, customer’s lives are changing, and their views are changing. The challenge was to create a new beauty brand for retail e-commerce that would build intimate, direct relationships with customers so that they find value in being loyal. With a dramatic change in what ‘beauty’ means to people, it’s no longer all about the surface and what your face looks like. Beauty is about the whole person, so the brand must focus on providing a shopping experience that caters to this new definition. It’s all about them!

OnCraft Kitchens and Interiors
Marrying practicality with personality, OnCraft Kitchen and Interiors has built a reputation for beautifully designed and finished work, combined with wholehearted and generous client service. Their team of designers, cabinet makers, and interior architects combine their skills and experience to create exceptional kitchens, interiors, and joinery for homes and businesses right throughout Ireland.
Like a lot of SME's over the last few years, OnCraft were very busy working in the business and didn't have enough time to work on the business, which meant their brand at the time didn't reflect the type of work they were doing or wanted to be doing.
Our challenge was to define their brand personality, voice, messaging, and develop an authentic, engaging and market-relevant visual identity that will attract new customers and build a solid loyalty base.
—
We identified two key audiences to target during our strategy sessions with Kevin and Joanne - the quality but cost-conscious private client (B2C) and the design-focused professional (B2B).
Simplicity, craft and attention to detail are what OnCraft bring to their clients, and we wanted to reflect this in this identity. We created a unique type-based identity with a supporting icon featuring a leaf as per their previous logo. This emblem is engraved in all OnCraft kitchen drawers.
Brand guidelines bring the consistency that was missing for Oncraft, while the supporting photography brings the team of experts behind this brand to the fore.
The reinvigorated and strengthened identity enables the OnCraft owners to dynamically drive and promote their bespoke, functional, design-led kitchen and cabinetry offerings across Ireland and the UK.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We are Ireland's leading snack food manufacturers. I am Senior Designer working with the Marketing Team.
For what projects/services did your company hire Brand New Creative?
to take a very out of date and unintuitive website and bring it up to date and with a new and fresh look.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
we were impressed by their experience with other high end clients and their proposal was extremely well received by senior management, who chose them for their clear expertise and knowledge.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After completing a brand discovery document, it gave clear indication to where the project needed to go, cutting out lengthy meetings and back and forth questions. Following the brief stage, we kicked off with a presentation of suitable options, after which was narrowed down to the favourite route.
We had a check in meeting to review progress and discuss any queries, and put forward with the next stage of design. After a delay coming from our side which was unavoidable, Brand New were very patient and continued to work alongside us to ensure our goal was achieved.
New tasks were added to the project which were taken on and handled very well, from photoshoots to video creation, to logo changes to brand colour changes, Brand New were unphased and carried on to create an exceptional website for our business.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 3 members of the team - the Managing Director, Creative Director and Designer. We also worked with their Photographer, Copywriter and videographer who were also excellent.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The new site is still in launch stage so we don't have metrics to report yet, but overall we have had great feedback from both internal and external users.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
the workflow was set up in asana which was very clear and easy to follow.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team had amazing knowledge of marketing and design and the importance of how they interact. Some agencies might be great at design but have no understanding of marketing or vice versa, having these skills are imperative to achieving a high standard outcome.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No, everything was 100%.

We loved the amount of research that they did during the project. We felt they really understood us, the market, and what we were trying to do. This build a level of trust which you need in an investment like this.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I don't think so. We were led by BrandNew's process which was a bit tricky to get used to at the beginning but saw the value of it as we progressed through the stages.
With Brand New Creative's help, the client has seen improvements in terms of brand recognition and reach. Their site also looks more fresh and appealing. The team communicates regularly, managed tasks efficiently, and works hard to exceed expectations. They're very professional and patient as well.
