ALFATEC Group is an IT solutions company. Our expertise include big data analytics, IT Security, Databases (Informix, PostgreSQL) etc. Our main technology partners are IBM, Thales, nCipher Security, SAP, Microsoft, Oracle etc.

For what projects/services did your company hire BrainIT?

We hired BrainIt team to work with us on our in-house project DWEM hospitality. A unique Big Data platform for the collection, technical manipulation, integration, processing and analysis of structured and non-structured data necessary to the hotel business for day-to-day operational work. Specifically, the team was engaged in developing a new release of On-line reputation management, price comparison and opinion modules of the solution as well as optimizing the existing data collection procedures

What were your goals for this project?

Two major goals were set, one was a deployment of a new Web client release of the app consisting of all three modules of DWEM hospitality and the other was analysing and optimizing the process of data collection and processing in the back office.

DWEM Hospitality is a large platform consistent of several modules. The end product is a web app with user friendly UI and seamless UX. BrainIt team main contribution was in creating new appealing widgets like expanding calendar options, weather forecast system and additional KPI showcases calculated in the back office. Alongside these they also put in a lot of effort to make sure the end user overall experience is flawless. On the back side they’ve done some considerable improvements which resulted in a faster and more consistent Indicator calculations.

What was the team composition?

The team was consistent of PM and one full stack developer on our part and three people from BrainIt (team lead and two more full stack developers).

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new release was sent to our clients which were more than satisfied with it. We are sure that this is the right direction of the product and that in foreseeable future we shall need to develop new features which according to client’s requests.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project was led by our own PM who created the tasks and in discussion and insights from the team made a final decision on the requirement. BrainIt team has put in the effort assessments for the tasks and upon their completion put in the real effort needed. After a few iterations these became in sync and allowed a more productive development cycle. There were daily reports on the progress as well as weekly roundups with more detailed reports and suggestions for the future assignments, they were very responsive, after onboarding period of a couple of weeks the work was done remotely.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

BrainIt has brought valuable insights on the particular challenges, including AI management and UI/UX requests, we were facing in DWEM product development, their suggestions and work helped us overcome these challenges thus saving considerable time and resources which allowed us to use those same resources more efficiently. Overall communication was on a very high level as expected.

I'm a CTOP at LED electronica, specializes in IoT tech, creating smart city solutions. Our expertise include embedded engineering, system integrations, data analysis powered by AI driven cloud solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire BrainIT, and what were your goals?

BrainIt is working on Precision Leap – Smart City solution which incorporates smart street light, dimmers, meteo stations, construction predicament models. They help us manage or DevOps solution as well as the entire code base of the solution. They managed to moderate and integrate our old solution into a new agile one.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After meeting with the CEO on a Smart City event, we started our partnership.

Precision Leap is a platform being used by multiple users, with different roles, depending on the area they come from. It is a web application interface, connected with sensors in the field which communicate through IoT devices.

Synchronization of this devices is handled in the backend. Guys on the field have a mobile app which they use to report new instalment and issues found on the field via a QR code generated by the app.

BrainIt team is managing this process, enabling the users a more fluent and bug free UX. They are expanding the solution based on the ongoing requirements of our clients and ourselves. They work with our PM and QA as well as their internal QA making sure the product is always Production ready.

The team is made out of a few full stack developers inside BrainIt, a PM and QA on our side.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new improved infrastructure DevOps introduced by BrainIt team considerably reduces our maintenance cost and made it a scalable product.

Project is led by myself and BrainIt representative. We follow up tasks in Asana, using agile methodology and meetings as necessary. This was introduced when BrainIt joined into the project and has proven to be bingo.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Guys from BrainIt are extremely flexible, yet highly professional when it comes to deadlines. They will not overstate their capabilities and will deliver as agreed. They put a lot of focus on communication which we found rewarding in the end.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We will continue our cooperation for the years to come, they have our highest recommendation.

Shard Labs is a custom sotware development company with focus on blockchain technology. We are engaged in business analysis and development of custom digital solutions using blockchain.

We’ve brought in BrainIt team in order to help us develop a platform for organizing back-office processes supported by blockchain.

What were your goals for this project?

To design and implement a new architecture based on our specifications. This included the entire process from DB design, backend, frontend, DevOps and QA where we developed blockchain part.

We’ve known about their team for some time and after consulting with them directly we decided to work with them.

BrainIt team was working independently on the platform. After initial plan was discussed and finalized the team started to work using agile methodology. They’ve designed and developed the entire platform with us and have proved they understand bleeding edge software architecture.

Team was consistent of a product owner and one developer on our side and 5 team members from Brainit including one team lead.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project is used for optimizing and securing the processing by utilizing blockchain technology. BrainIt team has done a tremendous job in developing the product. They integrated with our own guidelines and personnel perfectly so the product turned out more then what we’ve hoped it to be.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Agile methodology with dailies and retrospectives has proved to be a bullseye for this particular instalment. We’ve barely broken through any deadlines and made it to the finish line as expected.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication skills and level of professionalism was one of the best in the industry. They’ve put the right personnel on the right tasks, ensuring we all get the best possible product till the end.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Actually none that I can think of. This team is a jewel to find in software development as they have processes set up and have an amazing team that will deliver every time no matter the changes we had. I Will work again with them anytime again.

BrainIt built all User Interface components. They worked with a backend team who provided the APIs. BrainIt was instrumental not just in building the front-end but in the overall design and architecture of the Web Application. They worked very well with the other teams involved to coordinate efforts, align technologies, and successfully delivery a compelling product.

What was the team composition?

The entire project consisted of about 6 people. We followed an agile workflow, with sprints that lasted about 2 weeks. Much of the functional design, UX design, and QA was handled by the developers, including the BrainIt Team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The delivery was the main user interface for our product. With it's successful delivery the product successfully launched to customers and has been in production ever since. After initial launch the BrainIt team continued on for many months delivering complex new features. The project ended when the UI was to a state where all major requirements had been met, and the quality and usability exceeded the expectations.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

As Head of Engineering I lead the overall project. Zvonimir Relja, from BrainIt, led the BrainIt team. We followed agile methodologies, communicating daily and iterating rapidly on feature development

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Development of complex components was completed rapidly and with high quality. In-spite of being a remote team on another continent the Brain-It team was always in close communication, allowing all development to be well coordinated. They were particularly effective in working with the backend team to align the integration between the two layers.

No, I highly recommend Brain-It for Web Development projects.
