EMSP Annual Report 2020
Similarly to 2019, in 2020 we developed a web-based microsite for the Annual Report of the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP). After designing the layout of the printed version of the 40+ pager annual report, we’ve converted the same content into a scrollable one-pager site where people are able to access the same information in a more user-friendly interactive format. The website is enriched with micro animations, an interactive map, document download, blogging feature, interactive charts and more.

MS Barometer 2020
The MS Barometer is a benchmarking tool collecting key information on Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 35 countries. We helped this nonprofit initiative to achieve greater impact in two stages. In stage one, we designed a professional layout for their 50-pager report and for 35 country factsheets. In stage two, we designed a user friendly interface and developed a hybrid future-proof web app to be able to showcase, compare and edit the data of the Barometer.

VAC-PACT Website
The Vaccination Confidence – Patients’ and Professionals’ Awareness, Communication and Trust EU-funded project provides patients with chronic diseases, health professionals, and supporting communities with tailored information about the importance of vaccines in their specific contexts, working towards improving vaccine uptake and confidence. With the European Patients’ Forum (EPF) we redesigned and built a custom platform accessible in 20 languages, making this crucial information available across the continent.

Please describe your company and your position there.
The European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP) is a Pan-European umbrella organization with over 30 years of expertise. We work together with members and partners to ensure that the more than 1.2 million people living with MS in Europe, have a real voice in determining their own priorities. I am the Senior Communications and Membership Coordinator of EMSP.
For what projects/services did your company hire Boostern, and what were your goals?
We hired Boostern for our MS Barometer project, to design a layout for a 50-pager benchmarking report and 35 country factsheets which were also translated to different languages.
We also asked them to develop an interactive platform where the main data from the MS Barometer is showcased and where the national level data can be compared with each other. All this made future proof with a custom backend where the future editions of the barometer can be uploaded in a user-friendly format.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We run a tender among over 10 providers who applied and decided to select Boostern based on the quality of their portfolio and the reasonable budget they proposed for such a complex work.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A full-stack developer was our main point of contact with several designers working behind the scenes.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We had dozens of positive feedback from our community regarding the new online platform. They were very happy about the user-friendliness of the online tool and we've been reported that it made quite a good impact at the national level in several European countries.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had daily updates and weekly meetings with the contact point who was always very patient and helpful. If there was a delay, he always let us know if time, but usually it was us giving him short notices. He still delivered despite many tight deadlines. To communicate we used emails, Discord and Messenger.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Boostern developed a platform that can process and showcase extremely complex data. They even made it future proof for us, so that we can keep using the same platform with updated data in the future.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
After the launch, there were some minor changes that needed to be made, but Boostern was extremely fast to reply and correct the mistakes.
Boostern’s created platform received numerous positive feedback from the community because of its intuitiveness and usefulness. They kept everyone informed about the progress through daily and weekly transparent updates on email, Discord, and Messenger. Above all, they were helpful and patient.
