For what projects/services did your company hire Bolser?
I've worked with Bolser across a number of projects, from full website front end design and development to most recently, ongoing website optimisation and UX/UI improvements.
How did you select this vendor?
I had worked with Bolser in a previous role/company and was impressed by their work. When i needed a full service website UX/UI and consultancy, I needed an agency I could trust and who had form. They were also based in the same region as me and so it meant I could (pre pandemic) easily liaise with them F2F due to their flexibility and client services model.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
I engaged their client services team with initial high level requirements. They took the key element which were important for me, i.e., site speed, accessibility, great UX, mobile first, after which they arranged for a more in-depth discovery stage to capture details, scope and outline an MVP. They worked flexibly, on time, on budget and with great stakeholder management throughout and provide options when any issues in the project needed to be overcome.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The end results have been genuine step-change improvements to our previous offering. This is backed up by ongoing testing for accessibility, and analytics insight showing positive improvements for metrics such as bounce rates, dwell time, reduced validation error and increased information absorption.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very. Each one of their departments was able to liaise directly with me/my team when required, but their own internal methodologies mean they kept each other up to date, and it genuinely felt I was dealing with individual parts of a team rather than just individual departments.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Team work. Attention to detail. Their willingness to work flexibly and challenge me as a client, backed up by evidence and examples is impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Where additional work was required, due to increased complexity, their account team did need to discuss some additional funding requirements from us which weren't in their original quote. This was fine, understood and accepted, but it could have been identified and communicated slightly earlier at the time.
So far, the team has seen improvements with the ongoing testing. Bolser constantly updates the client about the project's progress. As the collaboration continues, the client is impressed by the team's solid work ethic in delivering results.
