First, we prepared a graphic design on our side. The website has been implemented in accordance with the graphic design provided by us. The website was designed and implemented as expected. The design of the site allows for a fairly simple inclusion of an online store in the future.

The cooperation with Blue Owl went very well from the very beginning. Contact with both the designer, as well as the Project Manager and the implementation team went smoothly. The contact was maintained both by e-mail and by phone.

What should be emphasized is the high flexibility of the agency's operation and help in achieving our goals related to the new website. We were very pleased with the project, especially with the smooth and effective cooperation with the Blue Owl team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It's hard to find weaknesses on the side of the agency. Certainly the type of project was not the easiest one, especially due to the external graphic design provided. What would require improvement is communication on the line - the client providing the graphic design - the designer on the agency's side.

Our main case was to handle site with full autonomy later on, and Blue Owl prepared us for that with providing excellet Materials and informations. For the whole process we were supported at each step.

Project manager was our main point of contact, he was extremly helpful with finding fast and precise solutions for each case and problem that occured during whole proces. He's response was Ultimate fast. Another person that we were in contact was UX designer.

After launching our site it was like few times faster and fully customized for us. We love the new, clean design.

The most impressive thing was their speed of reaction for any case we found urgent. Even some minor updates were implemented almost immediately. Great contact and fast reaction is the main case to look for with BlueOwl.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Main issue was lack of information regarding cost of additional service, but after pointing this out, they adapted to our needs.

I am the owner of the company Łąki Kwietne. As a company, we deal with the production, consulting and distribution of seeds for the creation of flower meadows. We distribute for individual clients mainly through the online store.

The main challenge we faced was the complete transfer of our store from the Magento engine to WooCommerce. In addition to the full transfer of content and resources, it was necessary to prepare and implement a new graphic design and logic for the operation of the online store.

I decided to work with the Blue Owl team due to their experience in creating dedicated online stores. The previous contractor of the Magento store let me down a lot, hence the choice of a new contractor was not easy. It was mainly due to the experience and commitment of the supplier.

The first step in the project was a thorough analysis of the data we had from the Magento store. Blue Owl analyzed data from Google Analytics and Hotjar, which allowed us to better understand the target audience. The next step was eCommerce workshops led by a Blue Owl specialist. After the workshops, a full graphic design for the online store was designed. Subsequently, the team implemented graphic designs and migrated from the previous online store.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The migration of the online store between Magento and WooCommerce was quite a challenge in itself, which the Blue Owl team handled brilliantly. The new online store, especially its logic and thoughtful solutions proposed by the team, clearly contributed to the increase in conversion and customer satisfaction. The store is also much more useful from an administrative perspective, which makes it easier for our team to manage the store.

Despite the relatively short deadline and a lot of work to be done, the Blue Owl team did a great job. I rate the entire process of creating my online store very highly. The commitment of the team, knowledge, and experience as well as help at every stage are really impressive. Communication was always very smooth, both by e-mail and by phone.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What really impresses us is the knowledge and commitment of the Blue Owl team. You can see that they put the problems and needs of the client in the first place. Professional approach, quick contact, and instant problem solving deserve the highest note.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It is difficult to identify areas where changes are required. It is definitely worth pointing to a handful of problems at the post-implementation communication stage, but they were quickly fixed and the communication situation returned to the right track.

Our previous online store was made many years ago on Open Cart software. Due to the following technological changes and the emerging new trends, related in particular to the growing popularity of mobile devices, the store has become very outdated. It was necessary to completely rebuild the store, taking into account the newest trends, and above all, the prospects of website users.

We decided to work with the Blue Owl team thanks to a recommendation from our long-term client and strategic consultant who carried out similar projects with the Blue Owl team. The key aspect that spoke in favor of the contractor was the experience in implementing similar projects and the project implementation process itself.

We started the project by examining the needs of online store users. On the one hand, the Blue Owl team analyzed the data from Google Analytics, and on the other hand, a full qualitative user study was prepared. The study consisted of, among others, card sorting, in-depth interview and shadowing during the passage through the individual elements of the online store. The key conclusions from the study formed the basis for the construction of the entire information architecture and the UX / UI mockups themselves.

Then, the prepared project and its guidelines were implemented using the WordPress WooCommerce engine. A comprehensive migration from the previous system was also carried out, including migration of customers, orders and key content. Finally, full SEO optimization of the online store has been performed.

On the part of the Blue Owl team, several people were involved in the process of creating the online store. Initially, the research was conducted by an experienced business analyst. Then the UX / UI projects were prepared by the designer. At the end, the project went into the hands of 2 developers who were responsible for the full implementation of the project scope.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The migration from the previous eCommerce engine to the new one based on WooCommerce turned out to be a success. We managed to keep high SEO positions for selected phrases and migrate key data. The feedback from users regarding the new platform is also a big plus. Customers evaluate the resulting change as a plus, especially pointing to the valuable user experience of the entire e- commerce website.

Communication went smoothly. TIn the project, we had access to a very competent team managed by a dedicated Project Manager. Remote communication was performed using the Slack tool.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their development processes were outstanding! The research and workshops took place in a stationary form, while the design and development process of the entire eCommerceplatform was already carried out using remote devices.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It's hard to point to an area where the company could improve something. It is certainly worth paying attention to the fact that it was one of the first projects to be shaken by covid and numerous lockdowns, which partially made the task difficult for both us and the contractor.

In the case of our corporate website, we decided to entrust the design to a creative agency, and then hand over the ready-made graphic designs for coding to the Blue Owl team.

We started the website design with an interview and UX workshops. The project was handed over to a creative agency for graphic processing, together with Blue Owl we went through UX workshops, the aim of which was to create a complete information architecture of the website.

Then all workshop materials were transferred to a creative agency for the preparation of graphic mockups. The UI mockups then returned to the Blue Owl team, which was responsible for cutting and coding them. The website was set up on the CMS WordPress system. The project was carried out professionally and to the point.

The main measure of success is a well-made website, as well as the quality of cooperation. The website is modern and fast, and the implementation of the project with the Blue Owl team went smoothly.

I rate the cooperation very highly. The Blue Owl team rose to the occasion. Communication and task execution ran smoothly, without any major problems. The key fact was the participation in the project of a dedicated Project Manager, who coordinated the work and managed the flow of information, which greatly facilitated communication in the team.

What I find unique in cooperation with the Blue Owl team is the company's approach to projects. Despite the fact that the project of our website was not one of the largest, the Blue Owl team, led by the Project Manager, showed full commitment and professionalism. I felt taken care of at every stage of creating a website.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't see many areas for improvement. The only issue is to standardize the communication tools, sometimes the information that was transferred was sent via e-mail, slack or by phone. However, this was not a big problem.

I am the IT manager of a regional Airline in the South Pacific, based out of Rarotonga, Cook Islands.

We offer a unique and award-winning product comprising an all-inclusive day tour from the island of Rarotonga to the island of Aitutaki which includes all transfers, flights, a tour of the island, a six-hour cruise on one of the world's most beautiful lagoons, lunch, and refreshments.

We were previously offering this as a one-way flight out of our Airline Reservation System which was not ideal. This required integration of a new tour based reservation system and channeling customers to it based on the date for which they planned to book the tour.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Blueowl by the chamber of commerce of Poznan whilst canvassing the regional market for a suitable agency to fulfill our needs.

We moved the product to the Rezdy platform and BlueOwl not only created an amazing WordPress based web site (WP was our choice) with great rapport between our companies but also wrote an impressive code injection style workaround from the CMS end of the Airline IBE in order to redirect customers from the old to the new site based on what date they were looking for.

This was nothing short of magic as the airline reservation system backend and middleware was rather inaccessible. We found dealing with BlueOwl extremely pleasant and if anything wasn't 100% right due to 3rd party issues they went out of their way to make it so. As the new site and CMS worked as expected, training requirements were near zero, and the site since served tens of thousands of happy customers.

After launching the site we saw an increase in turnover and a more focused user funneling towards the actual booking process. Integration of contact forms and live chat also made our product more user friendly.

Due to the short lead time and time frame, we had daily communication, and to retain friendly and professional service it was our choice to conduct this via telephone and email. All timelines and expectations were met.

They’re very fast workers.  It was a very short timeframe from start to finish. They indicate problems, and then they’re good at solving them quickly. 
I’m impressed. We will work with them again in the future. They will continue to support us in our IT solutions.

I’m really impressed with their project management. We communicated through a dashboard platform, phone, and email. We were in contact at least two times a week to exchange ideas. 

It was a very good connection between them and us. We were able to solve problems together. The information exchange was very fast, and their customer care quality is very high.

They combine and connect all of their experiences from business to IT. They really understand how the business works. It’s really hard to find a guy from IT who will understand the core business. I was very impressed.

There’s nothing I would have them improve. They’re really good.

Don’t bother looking at bigger companies if you want to be close to the project. If you’re searching for people who really want to understand you and see solutions, not problems, you have to choose Blue Owl. They’re good at listening to customers.

They started by rewriting multiple existing solutions on the website into code. After those technical improvements, they focused on mobile-responsiveness, graphics, and UX/UI. Relatedly, they fully integrated our suppliers’ stock onto our website thanks to Excel Power Query and a WordPress import plugin. Currently, they’re working on multiple sales-oriented improvements including registration, discounts, loyalty program, and delivery options.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Since we’ve started working with Blue Owl, we haven’t had any trouble with the site’s functionality. From a business perspective, we’ve been growing our sales via the internet and reaching more customers. The site has improved both our brand value and overall appeal. Furthermore, we’ve noticed an increased number of inquiries.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They’ve executed very well, constructing a work and feedback process with clear lines of communication. Delays are rare and usually result from unexpected technical difficulties. In those cases, they’ll alert us. Everything has been delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They're not the typical 8–5 workers. If you’re facing a deadline, you can count on them to work closely with you until you deliver. They’re also a pleasure to work with, which makes the work so much smoother. Lastly, I would like to emphasize that Blue Owl consists of real professionals that remain dedicated throughout the entire project.

There’s little to improve. My only suggestion would be to provide more detailed explanations to inexperienced clients. I like to learn and am always happy to receive materials on new subjects.

Likenew is a new brand on the Polish eCommerce market. The company deals in the trade and distribution of used Apple electronic equipment. Until now, the company has operated entirely offline. The main challenge facing us and the Blue Owl agency responsible for the implementation was to prepare a functional MVP of the eCommerce website, which in the near future will be developed with the functionality of the marketplace. For this reason, the most important aspect was to create a website in the headless commerce technology, which will enable the change of the back-end to a dedicated system in the future, which will enable the marketplace function.

The choice of an agency to implement our project was neither simple nor obvious. The scope of the project itself changed during the talks with individual contractors. Ultimately, the decision on the choice of Blue Owl was made due to the possibility of the MVP agency putting up a project, which will be able to further develop the project in the future.

It is worth mentioning that the agency was responsible for coding the graphic design made for us by another independent graphic designer. In the first meeting, together with the agency, we agreed on the final scope of the project, because the graphic design itself also included functions that were not supposed to be available in the MVP version. Then the team started implementing the headless commerce technology.

Thanks to the use of headless commerce technology and the team's flexible approach to the project, we obtained a very useful MVP for our project. It also saved us a lot of costs that we would have to bear when creating a dedicated marketplace. Putting the MVP on WooCommerce allowed us to conduct user tests. Headless, on the other hand, allowed for a very easy change in the context of scaling the website to other back-end platforms.

The cooperation with the Blue Owl agency ran very smoothly from the very beginning. Apart from telephone and e-mail communication, we also contacted slack and google meets. In addition, it is worth adding that we had full contact and support from the Project Manager, who was available to us almost 24 hours a day.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What is unique is the fact that Blue Owl was the only company that offered us an alternative solution to our idea of creating and implementing the marketplace platform. It is definitely worth emphasizing here the business view of the agency and advice on choosing the best technology to implement MVP.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

What is worth improving is certainly the process of collecting accurate information, especially in a situation where the agency implements a graphic design that is not authored by it. What's more, it is also worth paying attention to the process of testing the solution itself. In the process, as a client, we managed to catch a handful of mistakes that escaped agency employees.
