Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We set out for a 3-month long campaign to run Facebook adverts but didn't last more than 3 weeks!
What was the team composition?
The team seemed to be set up very professionally with different people in charge of different roles however the company as a whole was far from professional, quick to take your money then silent.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The results for the short time we were with them was awful with our ad spend being more than the sales actually generated!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
not had much work however we provided what was needed more or less instantly
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Sales pitch
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
Blind Pig Media - Avoid I have waited some time to write this review as I have been giving the company the benefit of doubt. I initially started conversations with the team at Blind Pig Media mainly led by Steve Brookes who is one of the directors at the firm. The Company sell themselves as a 360 marketing agency that provides marketing throughout the online world for us it was e-commerce clothing.
We initially reached out to find out information and partner on our Facebook adverts to have managed by Blind pig media initially they provided great information as to their projected returns on what they were charging very clearly broken down to a weekly basis looking very glossy and professional.
We then decided to not go ahead initially however Steve being a very good salesman and provided a 100% guarantee Full Refund pitch to me whereby if they do not meet the projections stated then they would refund their fees (I believe this is a sales pitch regularly used as I have seen other people mention the same) Quote from Steve: ‘To confirm; the ad spend will be held in our client account for True Clothing and you can request a refund of any unused funds at any time.
In addition, you will continue to have transparency with how it is spent both via our reports and via Facebook account.’ NONE OF THE ABOVE HAS BEEN HONORED This had me sold and I thought there is not much to lose at this point with a guarantee in place. Initially we agreed on a 3-month contract for the services and paid upfront for the full 3 months this included Ad spend and their fees, biggest mistake I had made.
A week or so after the ads were compiled and launched, after a week we found that our ad spend was ridiculously high so high that the spend was around double to the sales being generated so £1000 spend was giving us less than £1000 of sales. I instantly had bought this to the attention of Steve and his team whom assured me that this was what occurs initially as the Ads need to learn what works however this was not explained before nor was it part of the comprehensive data provided prior to signing up.
I had given them the benefit of doubt at this point and thought I will continue through the process to see where we get to as the team seem super confident. Another week went by with hardly any improvement on results then to my shock I realised that all the Ad spend had been coming out of my personal PayPal account when I had paid for the ads in advance, this was the final straw for me and I decided to pull the plug on the whole service.
Now it has been past the 3 months period constant chasing for my refund I am owed over £38k and not to forget the money I lost from my personal PayPal, I have been constantly ignored, being made false promises regularly and now I am having no choice but to push forward with legal proceedings to get my money back. Unfortunately Ads and any services offered by digital marketing are not tangible and can only go by recommendation also I would suggest looking at Trustpilot for additional reviews and also cluth.co.
