I am experienced Application Engineering Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the mechanical or industrial engineering industry. Previous tasks Application Management Services (AMS) experience for lead several AMS teams as PDM and PLM (Enovia/Catia V6). Development and Continuous Improvement experiences for lead application services in Service Manager role. Current task: Leap Forward Project Position/Tittle: Master Data Specialist in Finance ERP Master Data Management team executing Infor LN ERP Roll-out Implementation
For what projects/services did your company hire BJIT Group?
We have ordered and got following services from BJIT:
- Application Management Services to several applications for example to PLM and PDM.
- Application and integration development to several applications for example to PLM and PDM.
- Application testing to several applications
- Application monitoring covering most of the engineering applications
- Ongoing development for engineering systems application
What were your goals for this project?
Efficient, good quality and cost-effective services. Main goal has been to keep applications up and running 24/7 by BJIT services.
How did you select this vendor?
My collegue selected BJIT on 2006. One reason was that they offered very cost-effective services. But also we had some experiences from they work quality and attitude in smaller project what they was done to Valmet relating model drawings.
Describe the project in detail.
We started with BJIT on 2006. Valmet hired more than 100 people from BJIT. Few project managers (<5) onsite in our main locations and delivery teams offshore. There was separate application teams for application management and continuous improvement.
First task was to execute end user release testing to Valmet PDM application. BJIT got first development task to the PDM on 2007 and later started developing the PDM. Later BJIT started offering application management services to PDM and after that the AMS scope increased to another applications also. And next scope was to start monitoring the applications 24/7 and create automated alerting system.
What was the team composition?
Valmet application service manager as me lead the application services. For example create budget, follow the tasks, create plan, scope, schedule, etc. BJIT executed the service tasks.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I see that biggest outcome success is that Valmet has utilized BJIT services already 15 years.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
BJIT has done very good work for these years what I have been working with they. The work quality has been very high level and very cost-effective. They have been very trusted partner and it has been very easy to give new challenges to they and know that they will do it as you expecting.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The most impressive thing about BJIT Group is their positive attitude. A few times when we have had major incident as they employees have been ready to work over night as long as the issue has solved. They understand client needs as how imported is for example solve faced emergency issues as quick as possible.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There is always areas what can improve. If you stop improving your services then you are not offering good services. I don't have any special areas in my mind what BJIT should to improve.
The engagement met the expectations of the internal team, leading to a successful longterm partnership. BJIT Group communicates and collaborates effectively, ensuring a smooth workflow. The team is hard-working, dedicated, and personable.
