For what projects/services did your company hire Biztech Consulting & Solutions, and what were your goals?
We asked Biztech to develop several modules for us in Odoo. Our whole company is running on Odoo, a few examples of what we needed was a way to keep track of all our production orders, specifically handling all the designs (each flag order has its own design). Everything had to be connected by Odoo, which means we wanted our website for entering orders to sales, production, warehouse and accounting in one.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Biztech because they had experience in Odoo and Odoo websites, whem we were selecting a few years ago they were one of the first companies that made clean, clear templates for Odoo websites.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Our project is very comprehensive; Odoo is our only system in the company we are using. Therefore, we started by explaining all of our operations in detail and then all of our needs. After each session, Biztech came back with a brief summary and their solutions. At this moment they know our business, so for new projects; for new modules it is very easy for them to understand what our specific needs are. We are making use of Trello to add tasks and keep track of the progress.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have one contact person, a project leader. 'Behind' her is a team of professionals for every aspect such as web design, server integration and so on.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Automation and system integration is very important for us, as well as the design of our website. for every project Biztech has perfectly met our expectations. Sometimes deliverables can be checked better before they are handed over to us for review, but after we give this feedback we saw many improvements in this. Most important for us, if we can think it, they can make it.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The most important tool we use is Trello. Here we upload projects or issues and we keep track of it. Besides that, we daily talk to our project leader on Skype, we do this for small issues or for instance to clearify something. That works perfectly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are always available for us, 24/7 for trouble shooting. If something goes wrong, they act adequately.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It is always a trade off between delivering the work perfectly or in time. Sometimes they can check the deliverables better according to the needs we specified. It can save time for reviewing of course.

I’m the owner and CEO of a company that makes flags.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
Whatchallengewere you trying to address with Biztech Consulting & Solutions?
Normally, we don’t deal with software, but it was important for us to have an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for managing our sales and customer relationships. We started with a Dutch team that delivered good work, but the pricing was rather high and became an obstacle to our growth. Aside from the budget aspect, they also took a long time to code.
We then worked with someone from India. While developers there are quite capable and fast, you have to explain exactly what they need to code. In our case, we’re not developers and don’t speak their language, so it posed a problem. Our requirements were ambitious, and they followed everything we said without intervening. Unfortunately, the parts they made wouldn’t “talk” to the other parts of the software. Everything became a big mess. We used two different suppliers in India before looking for a new company.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Biztech Consulting & Solutions started off adapting our existing ERP system, but the scope expanded. Now, they’re rebuilding the system from the ground up with modern standards. Previously, we’d made minor updates to the system to compensate for limited features—some options were not available four years ago. We also worked with Odoo and ERP Community for the open source software platform.
We’re now working on version 11 and are looking at version 12. Our target for releasing the final build is mid-November. I believe we’ll be happy with the results, as we’re getting all the features that we couldn’t get before.
What is the team composition?
We’re working with 9–10 people. The coders are all specialized and know exactly what they’re doing.
How did you come to work with Biztech Consulting & Solutions?
Biztech Consulting & Solutions is on Oodo’s partner list.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $45,000 on their services. For that amount, they did much more than our previous vendor from the Netherlands. In perspective, they got a quarter of the whole budget but did 80% of the work.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2015, and the work is ongoing. We’ll continue working with them for the long-term.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Biztech Consulting & Solutions got it right, creating a system that is highly customized. It can handle everything. If I tell Biztech that I need a feature, I’ve never heard them say “It’s not possible.” We can use ordinary language to describe what we need, and they’ll explain the limitations and translate our requirements into something feasible. They do things in such a way that it won’t destroy the whole system when you push “update.” Instead of doing a short-term patch for a problem, they offer long-term solutions. The only limitation is the platform we’re using. They’ve also guided us on best practices for implementation.
How did Biztech Consulting & Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager understands Odoo quite well and communicates clearly via Skype. They’re excellent with project management and couldn’t do better. It’s an area that’s often lacking in vendors, but not for this team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re extremely fast and offer relatively cheap pricing. You get a lot of value for your money. I just came back from India and saw how they work. It’s amazing. When they say yes, they really deliver.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I highly recommend meeting the team in India, especially if it’s a long-term collaboration.

I am founder and MD of Labels4Kids online retailer of name labels and tags based in the UK and selling internationally.
For what projects/services did your company hire Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., and what were your goals?
Our website was somewhat outdated and also on Magento 1 so we needed to transition to M2 but alongside that we had the requirement to build a bespoke designer tool for all our labelling designs so the customer could see and order their labels on the site and this would go straight to production for print.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We required editable files which most designer tools could not do once the customer had created their order file. Biztech were the only designer company capable of doing this and at a reasonable cost. We also tested migration of our highly customised M1 site to M2 with a number of developers and only Biztech managed to do this successfully due to the level of customisation in the old site.
Going with a new developer is always a high risk but we felt having been tested on the migration initially that they were up to the job. They also agreed to alter their standard designer tool to suit our layout requirements. The cost was not unreasonable for the work required.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had intial meetings to explain what was required and that we wanted to keep our current designs but alter the designer tool. We also added a pile of new icons to our labels offering during the designer tool build which made it a new site but with a massive new range of designs, something we had been wanting to do for many years.
After initially asking them to do the migration test we agreed to go ahead and received wire frame demos of the designer tool part, a key area for us.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had quite a large team of 10 or so on the project but with a main project manager contact throughout. This changed part way during Covid but was a smooth transition as in the development team only one changed during the build time and handed on to someone who had already worked on the whole build to date anyway.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching so far we have not seen an uplift in sales as we are just coming out of covid lockdowns, however the customers like the site and we find it relatively easy to work. We are now working on building our market post covid lockdowns having invested during the shutdown period with a new site and new designs and designer tool.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The process was initially difficult as the method of delivery of a project in India perhaps differs to the UK. We were on email, skype and google drive but finding this difficult to keep track of all the different chats going on. We prefer working with Trello.
Biztech use Trello themselves anyway inhouse I believe so agreed to streamline our work tickets better during the project and we moved to Trello for tickets and replies in one place, Google drive sheet to summarise new support tickets needing quoted and track ongoing hours, and skype for urgent notifications to get the team's attention to check the trello board again.
Works much better and will continue to use that process. I think the point would be to be upfront with how you want to work as a company and something like this method was much smoother.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive was the level of their English and skills. English is not their first language and the team all understood our different accents and what we were trying to communicate and were capable of doing the migration which some US and UK companies had not managed to crack. Their development skills are very good and would recommend.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The process of communicating ongoing work and tickets should not be done via email as your inbox is swamped and you cannot keep track of emails and skype comments on an issue in the one location. Working with Trello from the beginning would have been more sensible and if doing future builds with them we would insist on starting off that way from the beginning.

I am a senior application officer at the Afghanistan International Bank.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked with another company that created the mock-ups for the website. We shared those mock-ups with the Biztech team and requested that they create a new website from scratch for us according to those mock-ups.
We asked them for new features like map integration and also an admin panel, some login features, and rules and policies regarding the operator and admin users. Everything was per our request and as planned. They used C#, ASP.NET for the framework. They have also used jQuery, JavaScript, and CSS, and CSS3 for designing the pages.
Before signing the contract, we provided the software requirements and specifications; whatever we needed, we put in that document, which they followed during the development process. It had a list of features and modules we decided to put on the website.
When the project was 50% completed, we wanted to add some new features as per our top management requests. They were also able to implement those new features that included ATM and bank branch locations.
What is the team composition?
I was in contact with two people. One person was the project manager, and the other person was in charge of the UI design. We also had some calls with the person looking after the server and web hosting configuration.
How did you come to work with Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.?
Our top management and IT manager found them I think they searched on Google and checked out some of their reviews. They found that they were capable of doing this type of project and signed the contract with them.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent around $45,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in September 2020, and the work was completed in the middle of February 2021. We have a yearly maintenance agreement if we have any changes.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is a hardworking company. They implement whatever the customer requests. They won’t say it’s not possible or that it’s not part of the project. They try to implement the features that the customer wants and want to make the customer happy.
We are happy with them and with what they have created for us. We don’t have any issues with them. Our old website didn’t have many features or modules and the design was not user-friendly.
How did Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?
They submitted around 200 hours for this project. After that, the working hours were increased because of the new modules and features. We already had the old website that was running, so we did not request that they hurry to deliver the project. We didn’t have any issues or delays with the new website. We used email, Skype and Zoom for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They work hard to satisfy the customer’s needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think there’s anything. We are happy with the result. We had requested other changes, and they didn’t charge us for those small changes.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They are good at web development. We have only done one project with their team, so we don’t know what their skills are like for other technologies. I would highly recommend contacting Biztech for your website needs.

Our goals are always to produce an effective solution for clients which not only maintains the aesthetic of the design work we have created, but which also functions extremely well across different devices and platforms, to not only reflect well on the client but to make an enjoyable user-experience for their own clients.

Biztech approached our company initially and we used them on a trial project as we were looking for a web development company. The results were great and it began a long-standing relationship.

We work closely with Biztech, discussing what areas of functionality are straightforward, which are intensive and problematic, so that we can harmonise our graphic proposals to our clients with realistic and sensible solutions for the real world.
We normally submit a draft proposal to Biztech before submitting it to the client in order to ascertain any such problems and to best advise our clients why we have proposed the routes we have.
In this way, we work closely with Biztech as a trusted advisor on delivering a solution to our clients.

We liaise with one key account manager day-to-day and with the other members of staff (at a top level) as and when required (eg for billing, general liaison etc)

All of the websites the Biztech has helped to create have made an enormous difference to our clients, and to ourselves (not just in client satisfaction, but also in real terms as Biztech helped to create our own website).
The measurable outcomes are hard to gauge as they are long-term -- ie. It's hard to know if a consumer has purchased an item due to the website hey have seen or because of the item's price and suitability.
I would say that the defining measurable over the years is the retention and loyalty of or clients. Their satisfaction and the repeat business is a defining measure of success. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of Biztech's work and their work ethos.

We have a lovely relationship with our points of contact at Biztech. We habitually use Skype and email on a daily basis and the project management style is highly efficient yet very open and friendly, which is a difficult combination and one which we very much enjoy.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Every business relies on its people for its success. Biztech have some amazing people. There are many companies that could (potentially) provide the solutions we seek from Biztech, but the inter-personnel relationship is key to a pleasurable way of working and that naturally leads to a better solution for clients.
All of the liaison is of course backed up by extremely efficient and accomplished completion of work on a regular basis. It is rare to find a company that can do things well, and with whom it is a pleasure to do so.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There are always areas for improvement of course, as there should be for any business. But none spring to mind. I think that is indicative of how effective our relationship is.
Above all, I know that Biztech are extremely keen to refine and improve anything that they can, so whenever we have had a query or a problem that we need to think about together, Biztech has been part of that process without fail. And we have always reached a solution together.

The team is also assisting us by developing calendar and mailing functions. As request by us, our users, and our partners, Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is also working on modernizing and optimizing the portals and their interfaces to make them more user-friendly.
In collaboration with the developers, the team has also built plug-ins. They’ve been able to advise us on what is possible and what isn’t, making sure that we what do is sustainable. Given that Joomla has regular updates, the team is also responsible for portal updates and maintenance to ensure optimal uptime.

After a former colleague of mine recommended them, I talked to them and discussed their capabilities to see if they’d be a suitable partner. We’ve invested about $10,000–$15,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement began in January 2019 and we’re still working with them. We pay them a monthly retainer fee to ensure that they maintain our portals on an ongoing process. We also work with them on an as-needed basis for other projects.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have metrics since their work is project-based. They’ve been very helpful to us and we’ve been extremely pleased. They’ve worked well and have delivered what they said they would.
If they aren’t sure about something, they always ask to make sure that they’re delivering the right product.
How did Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management has been very good and we have meetings when required. Despite this obstacle, they completed the tasks as they said they would. We have meetings when they’re required.
It’s been a little challenging because the client changed their mind several times throughout the project so Biztech IT Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. missed a couple of deadlines, which wasn’t their fault. Despite this obstacle, they completed the tasks as they said they would.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their in-depth Joomla knowledge and skills have been extremely valuable for us because we don’t have that capability in-house. They are very flexible and are able to adapt to changes quickly, which happens frequently depending on our client’s requests.
They have a strong understanding of what can and can’t be done. However, in the case that there is something they’re not entirely sure about or if we ask them for something they can’t deliver, they often try to find a readily available solution.
Sometimes it has to be purchased and added to the system and other times, they will need to develop it. They always let us know which solution would be the best while keeping in mind the cost.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not that I can think of. It did take some time for them to understand what we were looking for which makes sense because it was a completely new way of doing things and some aspects of our business are quite complicated. There’s nothing that I would want them to be doing differently at this point.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Explain your business and exactly what you need in as much detail as you possibly can and then they will know what to do from a technical perspective.
They need to understand the business that they’re working with in order to provide good recommendations and suggestions. That was initially where we messed up because we didn’t provide as much information as we should’ve, which was a learning experience for us.

To help us have the software we need finally, allowing us to now hopefully grow as intended and offer the products we could not before.

It was managed well. Communication is done through email, skype messages and skype calls, screen sharing and documents.
I have developed a great relationship with Nitin who is available way above and beyond the times expected. This was a worry originally but we have managed to make this work almost perfectly, I would 100% recommend them because of this factor alone.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Working with Biztech has been a very smooth process. I am very impressed with this company from start to finish. I cannot praise Nitin enough, a very experienced developer who has taught me many things with Magento 1x, 2x and on servers.
