We started our humble beginnings in 2012. At that time, our founder Jyotirmay Samanta (we call him Joe), was working at Google in Silicon Valley.
Because of his close proximity with Silicon Valley entrepreneurs we landed up with few projects for early stage startups to architect, code and launch their SaaS based products with the help of a solid in-house development team back in India.
Response from those first batch of clients were so positive that our clients themselves started referring us to their business peers. That’s how purely from word of mouth we started getting our next round of customers.
In between Joe also moved from Google to Salesforce then to Amazon, collecting technical and business experience from some of the biggest names in the industry. This eventually helped to build world class business and technical practices in our company which fuelled dramatic growth for BinaryFolks in the ensuing years.

Client's requirement :A Boulder (USA) based client wanted BinaryFolks to develop a chrome extension for Amazon sellers which can automate the profit optimization on Amazon by providing an efficient and automated dynamic pricing mechanism and the whole thing should work real-time in amazon sellers page itself. Solution : Running a business for a while made our client realize the meaning of competition and how difficult it is to become the #1 in the niche. So, we developed a chrome extension for Amazon merchants to monetize revenue by reducing their time spent on monitoring competitor prices and by giving them a dynamic pricing strategy. Corporate eLearning Platform
Client's requirement : A Dubai based client requested Binaryfolks to develop a portal where corporate employees that completed certification trainings can book exams online to get a complete picture of their understanding of the subject. We were required to automate the refund process whereby, if a candidate appeared and passed an exam, he/she will get a refund and the vendor will get a reimbursement from the corporate house.
Solution: BinaryFolks built a portal where corporate employees can register with their company email to search for exams that are relevant to the certification training program they took and register for the exams. The admins can mass import CSV files to the system containing email IDs and names of the candidates, thus pre-approving them of these exams , so that, the candidate can book exams automatically and doesn’t need to wait for the approval. Once, the results are published, they can upload the results to the portal and if they pass the exam, our system refunds the exam fee. We also developed an in-depth analytics tool that helps the admins visualize, monitor and assess the quality of the courses, progress of the candidates and analyze performance for each trainings under each vendor.

Whiteboarding and real-time communication tool
Client's requirement: Our Sydney (Australia) based client wanted a tool that allowed collaboration and teamwork inside and outside classrooms. BinaryFolks was asked to develop an interactive whiteboarding sketch tool that would allow multiple users in a single session to work with each other and follow what each other is doing for improving learning, communication and collaboration.
Solution: BinaryFolks developed a real-time collaboration tool that allows both teachers and students to participate in the learning session. Teaches and students can choose from all available sketch shapes and screen share with the help of auto-generated unique URLs to communicate with other session members in real time. We used WebRTC to embed real-time voice and text communications capabilities for higher student engagement and collaboration.

Car Reselling Platform
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The client ( San Diego based car dealership company ) wanted to build a car dealership website and ensure that the website is well equipped to help users sell pre-owned cars. One of the main requirement of the client was that the design should be responsive and people must be able to complete the whole car evaluation and transaction process right from their mobile or desktop and even interchangeably in between.
SOLUTION
We built a car reselling platform that let users sell their cars and provide a quote based on the car details entered by the user. Also, a switch to mobile option is provided to the users to seamlessly use the evaluation workflow both from mobile and desktop, even they can pick up an unfinished process from a different device exactly where they left it in another device..Once the quote is generated following the various business logic, the users can review the quote and schedule an appointment. A date- time calendar interface has been built to avoid overbooking. We also enabled geolocation whereby users can get the direction of the car reselling center from their location in real time.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
One of our major Real Estate Service Clients in Australia automated their manual inspection, analysis and reporting business to a complete online business process with the help of specialized mobile devices. They wanted us to build a management platform to manage those thousands of IOT / Remote Devices from a centralized command and control center to remotely monitor the in-depth health of the device fleet, manage the process at any level, proactively notify about the problems, execute remote commands, etc.
SOLUTION
We developed a Saas based platform to manage thousands of mobile devices from a single dashboard where we can check the active devices, health status of the devices, the connectivity status, disk usage, form status, reports. The client ( San Francisco based professional networking company ) wanted to build a chatbot that can communicate with candidates one-on-one and ask candidates about their experience, answer common questions, and collect all kinds of info and replies to inquiries. The client wanted users with no coding knowledge to be able to create his/her own customised interactive digital chatbot according to his/her requirement.

Custom Android OS Manager
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The client ( A Norway based company helping businesses with Enterprise Mobility, MDM and wireless networks ) wanted certain devices that were a variant of Android OS and didn’t have Google Mobile Services to be able to update their OS with a reasonable degree of checks and automation. One of the main requirement of the client was to make sure that the upgrade initiates with the confirmation that it will end in a success and leaves behind no “Bricked” devices.
SOLUTION
Our application runs in the background on those specialized devices to identify if there is any update available for the OS. Before initiating an upgrade, our app also checks essential health parameters (like, battery percentage etc.) of the device to make sure the non-reversible process like OS upgrade completes with 100% success. As the enterprises are also part of various emergency sectors, this application has the provision to schedule / delay the upgradation process at user’s convenient time to avoid creating fatal situations, like medical emergencies.

Online Travel Management
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The main objective of this client (A canadian Transport integrator) was to create a robust travel management platform that is available 24x7. This gives freedom to potential visitors to book tickets anytime(as most tickets are booked outside working hours) from the comfort of their home and at the same time maximizes sales for the business. Client also wanted to give real time availability status of seats, lot of flexible journey related options and cancellation and refund options.
SOLUTION
BinaryFolks developed this platform keeping three user perspectives in mind : Bus owners, administrator’s, and customer’s. This multi tenant application allows admins and bus owners manage destinations, publish transport routes, manage bus schedule, manage seat allocations and track ticket sales. Also, passengers can look up bus availability on specific dates and for specific routes, choose seats, select pickup and drop points and finally pay online and book the tickets. Once the tickets are booked, the journey also gets pre-populated on their calendar for easy reminder. If a customer needs to cancel the booking, they are offered partial ticket refund and once cancelled, the spot automatically opens up, giving another customer the chance to book it. Another inherent benefit of this platform is that passengers can see the other passenger’s reviews to judge the quality of service offered before they book.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The client ( based in Romania running a successful media company ) wanted to develop a large Scale Mass Media sharing and monetization platform. Because of huge volume of data we needed to implement a distributed architecture with multiple servers, functionality specific servers as well as hot swappable media servers. Also, we had to ensure different level of service experience for Free, Paid and Premium users.
SOLUTION
Using our application, users can create an account and upload files of all sorts ( text / image / audio / video ), convert video files online according to his/ her choice and share the files via email, social media page or a forum. The files can also be downloaded based on certain subscription criteria. Based on plans they subscribe for, they get different level of storage quota for storing the files, uploading or downloading speed and even different bandwidth for file upload and download. In order to manage an ever increasing disk space and to service problematic servers on the fly, we also implemented hot-swappable server management platform for uninterrupted operation even during server maintenance.

CLIENT’S REQUIREMENT
A Denver based enterprise was dealing with multiple marketplaces, vendors and warehouses as part of his dropshipping business and wanted to build a custom versatile software that manages all those in an automated and efficient manner. So, we were required to build a centralized inventory management software to manage all of his orders, inventory, shipping, with the help of an easy to use Dashboard.
SOLUTION
Binaryfolks developed an automated software that collects product and pricing information from Amazon and other ecommerce sites along with available quantity and cost from different fulfillment channels like, Hublogix etc. Also, the system is fetching inventory status from different warehouses and updating the database automatically. An Australia based successful online books retailer asked BinaryFolks to develop an online comic book store. The main objective to make a fully-featured web store that delivers an exemplary shopping experience so that shoppers can get to what they want faster and without running into unnecessary complexity that can clog up the path to purchase. The comics are bought as ebooks so, it was necessary that different modes of reading for users were developed. A very special requirement was to develop a mode of reading where every single comic illustration for a page could be individually zoomed and read in sequence just like a movie.
SOLUTION
We developed this aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate online comic book store with advanced filtering so that it’s easy to search for products and purchase them. The comics can be read in single page mode or flip book mode for the best reading experience. Large data analysis and reporting tool
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
A huge amount of data is generated every single moment but it doesn’t provide executives and other decision makers with valuable insights on its own. We were required to help an Indian company make the gathered data interpretable, and then analyzed in real-time to make highly informed decisions quickly.
SOLUTION
Our application, based on Google data studio, gathers data about all the links, including youtube, google docs, google sheets, google drive etc. that are visited by clients and then based on the stats, displays dynamic, intuitive and consumable reports in the form of graphs about which part of the world visited the links and how many times. Also, it provides a graph that shows the changes in link visits over chosen date ranges. We can further filter the graph by city. It also provides a pie chart to reveal which part of the world dominates in visiting the links.

The client ( one of the largest provider of Small Business Administration 504 commercial real estate financing in Northern California ) required a financial calculator app that can provide a gateway to help relieve the stress of financial complications. He wanted us to develop an app that can calculate estimated loan amounts based on user details anytime, anywhere.
SOLUTION
We developed an app for quick and easy calculation of loan amount for clients interested in commercial real estate financing. Users need to insert the amount he is willing to spend on acquisition, depreciation etc. and then needs to fill in other details like loan structure and interest rate and the app will provide an instant loan estimate based on various bank and govt parameters picked at real time from the back end. It will also email the detailed estimation and reference to the user, if demanded.

Review Management Platform
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
Being a seller at Amazon, our client understood that negative reviews could potentially damage the prestige, profitability and trustworthiness of their business. The main objective of our client was to contact and communicate with the customers who placed negative reviews for their product on the Amazon review page. But, as there is no way to contact customers as contact information is not displayed on the review pages, he wanted us to build an extension that leverages the deeply buried hidden relation inside Amazon page DOM and reveal the contact information and help identify the customer from the Amazon review page itself.
SOLUTION
This is a chrome and firefox browser extension that enables amazon sellers unearth hidden relationship between bad reviews and product orders and allows them to contact their customer directly in a single click of a mouse. To minimize the unauthorized use of the extension, it is only downloadable after the clients register with us. What our extension does is that it matches the order ID with the product review and pull the customers details i.e. email id and purchase details so that the seller can initiate bi-directional communication.

SaaS Based Automated Test Evaluation
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
Here client ( A New York based eLearning company ) was looking to build a multi-faceted and user friendly online test-preparation site which enables students to discover their areas of strength and weakness and work on them. Also, one objective was to mimic different kind of exam (Like SAT, etc.) scenarios and their varying question patterns like interactive questions, multi-part linked questions, MCQ’s, dichotomous questions and essay type questions and the associated time restrictions on such questions.
SOLUTION
BinaryFolks developed an online examination website whereby students spread over different schools can choose among finely defined hierarchical questions for different subjects and appear for online examinations and get system evaluated results immediately. They can also submit physical assignments in electronic form. The upper management of the education system can see an auto generated dashboard of how the students are performing at class level, school level and district level. Teachers can identify which subject some particular student is lagging and need help. As a part of Parent - teacher communication the application can get parent’s approval in certain matters and then notifications are sent to the parents regarding their kid’s performance so that they can be up to date with their child’s progress.

SOLUTION
We developed advanced property look up application where users can search for properties by their full or partial address, country, state, zip code, locality name, street name etc. to visually locate their intended property and then can buy reports, if available. If there are no reports of that property, then they can make a request to inspect that property and get a report. The Online Exam Management Software
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The main business requirement of this Singapore based client was to develop a multifaceted online examination website for schools across a large geography. One important feature that the client required was the ability for the management to see auto-generated comparative reports to analyze and monitor individual level, class-level or school level progress in order to get a bird’s eye view of the education system across a large geography. Also, the regular features of a typical online exam system were also required.
SOLUTION
Our application enabled adding varieties of question types and categories which could be modified and customised from the backend by the instructors and the admin very easily. We also created the provision to add images and audio clips to the questions to make it more interactive. We added a timer to accustomise the students to the time constraints of real life exam scenarios. Immediately after attempting the question paper, students can view their result and can see their overall progress over time and across various subjects in a performance dashboard. Recurring renewal method of subscription is implemented here and user gets a timely email to remind him/her before subscription expires.

CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The client ( UK based marketing company ) wanted to develop a flexible subscription based online survey tool for subscribers so that they can use the platform to increase response rates by reaching out to the target audience faster, conduct market research at a fraction of the usual cost and get real-time results for quick and easy analysis. At the end of the surveys, visual survey reports needed to be displayed so that at a glance, the admins could have a 360 degree view of customer sentiment and look for emerging opportunities to gain useful insights for their respective businesses.

The client ( Melbourne based startup company ) was in the need of a collaboration platform for home renovation and new home market for both builders, property developers and designers as well as their clients. His aim was to improve the process of handing over a renovated or newly built property from builders to their clients by taking the whole process online. A centralized dashboard for home maintenance, task and budget management and file storage was the main requirement. He also wanted a hierarchical permission access control so that permissions to perform certain operations are assigned to specific users and data security is ensured.

A Houston based entrepreneur wanted to analyze social media activities for sentiment analysis. He wanted to gather, organize, interpret and then analyze those behavioural data to determine a marketing strategy, improve campaign success, customer service and generate leads. Dating Survey & Coaching Platform
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
This Denmark based client wanted to build an online dating platform that would basically deal with psychological study focused on social behaviour. This application needed to pretty much behave like a survey tool where men and women answers questions about themselves to find out whether they share common interests with others or just to know how compatible they are when it comes to relationships. It also reflects the interpersonal benefits of online dating for each individual.
SOLUTION
BinaryFolks developed a bilingual website for psychological study of individual social behaviour of the registered users. In order to yield accurate info about the psychological mindset of the candidates, different surveys are created and relevant questions are assigned to them. We have implemented semi automated course creation and fully automated course delivery mechanism based on different criteria for this application. A calendar interface has been built to manage subscription and attendance to event, avoiding duplication or overbooking a coach’s time. The reports for the different surveys can also be generated in excel format as well as displayed graphically so that users can get to compare their performance.

E-Store Data Backup and Restore Platform
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
Our client ( Israel based proud owner of shops in Etsy ) being a shop owner himself in Etsy knew how catastrophic it is to lose data of an online shop in Etsy where there is no option to get back those business data. He wanted us to develop a robust and hassle-free automatic shop backup service with on demand restore options. A very important business requirement was to be able to download the backup files to user’s system in order to ensure that if, owing to any reasons, the shop in Etsy is deactivated or suspended, users with the help of our application, can download a copy of his shop from our application to avoid reinvesting time to recreate the shop from scratch. We also needed to let users restore items they backed up, and revert to the previous version in cases of human errors.
SOLUTION
Our application which is an online web service that enables users to backup the full current state of their shop ( listings, privacy policy, testimonials, and other information ) and when required, restore the data. Users can select the backup frequency: Weekly or monthly and can always change that according to his/her requirement. In case, users need to downloads the backup, the downloaded files will include a ZIP file containing a CSV file that contains item details such as titles, tags, details, etc. and a folder with all the listing images.

The requirement of the client ( London based entertainment firm ) was to build a secure and customisable event management and ticket management platform. The main requirement was to automate the process of online booking so that it can greatly simplify the booking process for both customers and the staff and also boost sales.
SOLUTION
This is basically a fully automated portal where customers can choose their options, pick a date and time, pay and book ticket without any human interaction on the business owner’s end. Venue Managers can advertise their ongoing movies, events and shows in this portal along with details like venue, timings, ticket prices etc. Users can see availability, buy tickets of different categories and pricing etc. Social media integration and social media sharing are also important components of this application. We have also built a module for ads management to monetize spaces in this portal.

Article Syndication Wordpress Plugin
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The client ( Arkansas, USA based content marketing firm ) wanted to develop a wordpress plugin basically for authors so that they could build their own brand with the content and also run campaigns via signing people up for email newsletters. A very important feature of this plugin was granular level advertisement management from the backend.
SOLUTION
We developed a wordpress plugin for the authors to submit contents to the website for review by the editors. Once reviewed, the contents are published to the site. The readers of the website can comment on the articles and can also subscribe to their favorite author. Our plugin then integrates with boomtrain (email marketing campaign platform) and updates these subscription lists to boomtrain to make sure email newsletter campaigns are run so that both established and potential fans never miss out on any article by that particular author. We also have a section for advertisement management, designed to oversee and control the various advertising activities from the backend. The advertisements are either displayed globally (i.e. displayed for all articles) or author wise (Only displayed for the articles published by the particular author). Google analytics is also integrated to keep stats about the visitors, active pages, social traffic, keywords etc.

Transport Data Curation Scrapping
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The client ( based in Europe running a successful aggregator business ) wanted to build an advanced scraping software which provides users with a complete integrated travel route from point A to point B based on their predefined preferences. This advanced scraping project had multiple transport agencies hence multiple data source involved and the challenge was to still find the best route stitching travel routes from multiple agencies. There was a lot of security measures like unstructured dom, cross checking user mouse movements, cookie validation etc and we overcame all the challenges to provide the exact software that the client had in mind.
SOLUTION
When user inputs data in the metasearch engines to find the desired travel itinerary, we run a script in the background that scrapes all the possible routes and save them in a centralised database. We then aggregate the results into a list of available routes according to either cheapest price or least distance time. Users can then choose from those route options to find the best suitable path according to their preference.

Automated Campaign Management Software
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENT
The objective of the client( Australian based marketing company ) was to automate the SMS and email marketing campaigns and engage more time and resources for other core business activities. One very important requirement of this software was to respect client privacy and we had to make sure that messages or emails were not sent to the clients on admin configurable off hours and days.
SOLUTION
BinaryFolks developed a system to carry on a continuous process of organizing, segmenting, targeting, and managing multi-channel marketing messages. The software continuously monitors the back-end database of clients and based on the admin configurable business logic it sends out soliciting emails & SMS to clients and enroll them in the service and then automatically follow-up for service appointments. Additionally, to maximize the effectiveness of the campaign and to respect user privacy, the system honors admin configurable holidays, weekends or other miscellaneous blackout dates and restricts SMS spreading out on those particular date and time. We kept provisions to adjust the message sending frequencies in a per minute / hours / day level and if the messages sent turn out to be wrong, one can interfere and correct the error.

Wine Marketing Software

One of the biggest California based established wine merchant company wanted us to build a marketing software to use all relevant data to make automated sales offer to customers. As with manual targeting and marketing, not all inventory gets marketing attention and also it’s very time consuming, they wanted us to use data mining to get an overall idea of their customer behavior and then determine which wines to offer to which customers, thus helping them target campaigns more accurately and efficiently and increase their return on investment.
SOLUTION
We used sophisticated data mining techniques to send very targeted offers to premium customers in order to increase conversion rate, capture more customer wallet share, reduce man hours to send automated offer and uncover hidden markets. Critical Discussion Platform

The requirement of this Enterprise client based in Greater Boston Area was to develop an interactive discussion platform dedicated to controversial topics. It was paramount for our client to attract more visitors to the website and more importantly, retain those visitors. So, he wanted to develop a forum with lots of people all contributing and adding new posts and replies to generate enough content. A large real estate services giant wanted to develop a solution to automate indoor and outdoor field inspection for retail and enterprise customers, reduce manual errors and eventually cut down the whole delivery time dramatically without compromising the quality and reliability in the process.
SOLUTION
We built a multi layer access controlled field inspection mobile app that several hundred field agents used to inspect indoor and outdoor locations, enter tons of data, draw electronic diagrams, embed photos in the reports, take pictures etc along with their location / date / time stamp etc. and generate reports based on various business logic. The application can store all data locally in absence of internet connectivity and sync with the backend systems when connectivity resumes. It can also rollout minor changes in the app without redeploying the app.

A large group of licensed field inspectors manages the massive number of indoor and outdoor inspections we conduct for retail and enterprise customers. The inspection process is manually intensive and generally takes several days due to the substantial amount of information required for collection, reporting, and analysis. The goal of this project was to design and implement a field inspection app that would help our inspectors solve and automate field inspections, minimize manual errors, and reduce the delivery timeline without compromising quality or reliability.
How did you select this vendor?
I first heard about Binaryfolks through a colleague of mine who had worked with them to develop an online e-commerce store. He was pleasantly surprised by the performance and quality of the work, so it was his recommendation that directed me to Binaryfolks. Following considerable research and brainstorming sessions, then an intense development phase, Binaryfolks built a mobile solution with an elaborate backend infrastructure. The solution addressed the extensive time required to execute inspections and formulate reports. The mobile apps now allow our inspectors to input data directly; draw electronic diagrams in a bespoke specialized drawing tool; capture digital photos; take digital signatures; and more, all online. This data is then automatically transmitted to the backend infrastructure, which has all the automated built-in logic necessary to analyze and process the data and format attractive PDF reports and certificates.
They also developed a SaaS-based command and control center that allows us to monitor the in-depth health of our mobile fleet, manage the process at any level, generate proactive notifications about problems, execute commands, and manage software and application upgrades, all remotely. In addition, they built a real estate auxiliary services management portal and automated our purchase order management and invoicing systems.
What was the team composition?
We had a single point of contact throughout the project. In addition to the three frontend developers, backend developers, and solution architect, the team itself was often augmented with supplementary developers in the event of a tight schedule or if domain-specific expertise was required.

The mobile apps reduced the inspection process time from four days to two hours and have virtually eliminated manual errors.

What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to develop an OS manager application that enables enterprise users of specialized android devices to update their OS with a reasonable degree of checks and automation. These devices are a variant of Android OS and don’t have Google Mobile Services to update their OS like normal Android public users have.

We faced a huge challenge when most of the previous companies we went to couldn’t even make the prototype work for us. We posted a project spec on some job exchange sites and I vetted a few companies for this project. BinaryFolks conducted the requirement gathering phase so well, and enriched the process with their valuable suggestions, that after the initial few meetings, it was clear that they had the best vision for our project. Their reliability and technical knowledge stood out amongst others. BinaryFolks communicated very well and responded quickly when we had questions, which ultimately helped us make the decision to go with them.

BinaryFolks built an application on top of EMDK [enterprise mobility development kit] that runs in the background to identify if there is an update available for the OS. Once the file is detected, the OS manager automatically checks the battery percentage and the device sends a notification to the user stating that there is an update available. Depending on user feedback, it either initiates the update or schedules the update for later. Aside from upgrades, the application also helps downgrade the OS if the user wishes to do so.

We had a dedicated project manager and then worked with front– and back–end developers, and a solution architect. Depending on specific need or domain specific knowledge, they brought in additional experts.

Previous vendors were struggling to get a prototype up and running, so I think BinaryFolks helped remove a major roadblock for our business expansion.

They provided all deliverables on time, accommodated small scope changes, and were responsive to issues over the course of the development process. Customer service is especially noteworthy. They communicate effectively and provide more than mere development; they offer proactive suggestions for improvement.
There were never any communication issues. The team sent out video updates after completion of every milestone, and they used screen sharing and emails to collaborate effectively.
