I am the Operations Manager for a prototype and manufacturing business in Los Angeles, CA.

For what projects/services did your company hire BigOVenture, and what were your goals?

Since we are always looking for new products to put out to the market. Our company thought of an app that would possibly take the capabilities of the smart watch industry to another level. After interviewing various potential programming companies, only one company, took us up on this challenge. Since smart watches are capable of running the internet and phone calls, we wanted to see if we could push a smart watch by providing Live Tv all within a watch. This is where we started our interviewing process of programmers and companies to with take our our idea and make it into a reality, for smart watch owners.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched online for weeks but had no luck finding a company that could make our idea work. After BigOVenture responded to our inquiry, and listened to our app idea, their specialists did a video call and provided real time footage of what their programmers had accomplished, we knew we had found the right company to take up the challenge. I can honestly say, I personally interviewed 3 other programmers, that not only took weeks to get back to us but also said it was impossible to create. The app developer Shahzain, has been very helpful, patient and professional walking us through the whole process.

We discussed within our meetings what our goals and objectives were. We explained how this project, could change how people view entertainment all within a watch but explore the capabilities of the inter workings of a smart watch. BigOVenture incorporated our feedback and delivered the revision version before the launch. This company provided beta testing during the development and took in all of our input and applied them to our smart watch application.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The lead development manager was assigned to our project and was our main point of contact throughout the process. Additionally, we interacted with the assigned programmer that mainly took our input and implemented our ideas of functionality and color schemes to our app.

As an established business of over 10 years, it is an important detail that we look for while outsourcing qualifying companies. When speaking to the development manager, he understood how important and critical it was, with developing an easy platform for future customers. The communication tools used during the project, included one to two meetings per week via online video conference, to discuss the functionality and progress of the programming.    

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us from the beginning, is how quickly BigOVenture understood the idea of the project and presented a basic functioning app doing exactly what we were looking to do. As I mentioned earlier, we had presented our idea to other developers and could not process the function of our app.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are extremely impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail, including their communication skills, that I do not see any need for improvements. We are very happy with the outcome and are currently in talks of using their services again for upcoming applications.

I’m a freelancer that provides business services to companies, primarily IT and financial organizations.

What challenge were you trying to address with BigOVenture?

I was looking to have an application created for a smartwatch, so I hired BigOVenture.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with in-depth discussions where we drew out my vision and agreed on the mockup structure. At that point, BigOVenture also presented me with their ideas for the app.

The team went on to design and develop an Android app for smartwatches. This app shows trade options in the financial market — or any data, for that matter — and takes its structured material from Google Sheets. The app can also send push notifications based on the user’s desired information. BigOVenture built the app in a way that gives customers the ability to calculate and adjust the information that they want to receive. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with one software developer.

How did you come to work with BigOVenture?

I found them on Upwork. I liked the simple, easy-to-maintain architecture that they proposed, and felt that it was a good fit for the project.

How much have you invested with them?

I paid $1,000 for the app.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August–September 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app is currently working and bug-free. In fact, I myself use it daily. It keeps me updated with the market while allowing me the freedom to be away from my desk and smartphone. It is much more convenient for me, and I’m quite satisfied.

How did BigOVenture perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered within the agreed timeframe and budget. We primarily communicated through WhatsApp and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with BigOVenture’s work ethic and ability to create exactly what I wanted. Apart from producing high-quality work at an affordable price, they exceeded my expectations and created a superior development experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t have any complaints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be very clear and document everything. This is the best way to optimize the partnership when working remotely.

We are a wireless Internet Service Provider. I am the founder and President of the company

For what projects/services did your company hire BigOVenture, and what were your goals?

We wanted an app that allowed us to communicate with an always changing set of customers. Since the set was constantly changing, we needed to be able to build a set of contacts on the fly. We also wanted the functionality to be done via a computer as well, so the app was both mobile and desktop based.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had worked with Big O Ventures in the past and they did a great job for us on the original project so it make perfect sense for us to work with them again on this project.

This part of the project is somewhat proprietary. We used Google firebase and Twillio to build the overall application, Big O Ventures did a great job of integrating the two technologies to achieve our desired results.

I do not have that information.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This project is an internal application that is only used by a couple of people. We had a lot of discussions along the way to make sure the project was perfect at completion and it was, so as far as measurable outcome, we are very satisfied with the job.

We never had any problems or issues communicating with the team. All communication was efficient and quick. No problems with following directions or executing requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always followed with with us once work was done. They wanted feedback right away and it was appreciated to see they really cared about making sure the project did not stall due to anything on their end.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I cant' think of anything at this time.

We needed a prototype app for an Android wearable tech device.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BigOVenture developed a Wear OS app that ran on my smartwatch. First, we discussed the project scope and my requirements for the prototype. I provided a PNG depicting the wearable’s screen space and the UI framework, which was created using Android Jetpack. From there, they handled the rest of the development using Android Studio.

I only worked with the founder.

I researched a bunch of companies that offered Wear OS development on Fiverr and reached out to some of them. I found BigOVenture and discussed my requirements with the team, who said they could develop the prototype app.

I spent $500.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from August–September 2021. BigOVenture delivered within 35 days. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They developed a prototype that I successfully tested with a user, which was all I intended to do at the time.

How did BigOVenture perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication was good and clear. The process was pretty straightforward: I asked the team questions through chat, and they responded within the next business day. They understood everything I asked them to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Finding other wearable developers within my budget was challenging, so BigOVenture’s pricing definitely stood out. Their expertise was also impressive — the team was very familiar with the current version of WearOS.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more accurate with their estimations on how long it would take them to complete the project. Initially, they were confident it would take around 20 days, but it ended up taking 35 days. This was fine because I was in no rush, but I think that’s something they could improve on.

Make sure to set clear expectations on your deadlines.

We hired the team to re-brand our current mobile application and to solve performance issues.

It is an android project build in kotlin. The development team involved from design to live process to discuss each key point.

A senior developer with technical lead.

We got very good feedback on google play store about performance and ease to use.
