Branding & Campaigns That Defy Ordinary
We combine the big idea thinking of traditional shops with the tactical prowess of digital agencies to build brands and create campaigns that give you remarkable reach and an unmistakable presence in the marketplace.
Our advantage is our open mind. Because we’re not boxed in by executional preferences, we can solve briefs with unbiased solutions that thread the needle between consumers, culture and your brand. Sometimes that means a full 360 campaign. Other times, a targeted social activation is what’s best.
We have no agenda beyond getting the right channels working harder and smarter for your business.

Royal Caribbean
We’re proud to be an agency partner for Royal Caribbean’s B2B marketing and advertising team. We are responsible for everything from email and print campaigns to digital activations and website content creation.

Perfect Bar
Perfect Bar had their work cut out for them. The marketplace was filling up with empty calories in the form of competition with less-than-ideal ingredients. They asked us to create a social content campaign that would clearly differentiate them on a very crowded shelf.
So we got to work and created a series of gifs that made the brand’s ingredients and packaging the star. The result was over 30 pieces of creative that spanned their full line of products.
It’s tempting to try and stand out using post-production techniques like 3D. But we know nothing perfect comes easy, so we went old school, using stop-motion video to teach our modern audience about our snack bars. We knew this frame-by-frame approach was the ideal creative execution to highlight the brand’s authentic ingredients and approachable nature. And we weren’t alone. The stop-motion campaign ended up expanding beyond social and was used in other digital properties, including their newly designed website.

The Kebab Shop
We were fortunate to partner with The Kebab Shop when they had a single location. They came to Big Day looking to elevate their brand and potential with a fresh new identity system and marketing campaign. Several ‘research’ kebabs later, we went to work and fired up a new look and attitude that has help catapult them to over 20 locations in 6 cities (and counting).
Our partnership with TKS started with a complete reinvention of their brand. We took it from “just another Mediterranean grill” to one with a bold point of view that challenges people to break out of the daily food rut and Crave Change. The new attitude touched everything from the look of the storefront to menu design.
When your brand comes out swinging, you need to back it up. So we developed a marketing campaign that met the competition head on. Using striking juxtapositions, we highlighted the mundane choices hungry consumers tend to fall back on and then hit them with a dose of flame-grilled deliciousness. The opportunity to create a rallying cry to inspire this family-owned chain was rewarding beyond the sales it drove.

Zygo
Zygo is a DTC company that's revolutionizing swimming with a headset that allows people to stream content from their phone underwater. We work with them to market their hardware and accompanying app through organic and paid social iniatives.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director at a leading harvesting system manufacturer.
What challenge were you trying to address with Big Day the Agency?
We needed their team’s branding expertise.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed to do a brand overhaul to step up our marketing efforts and prioritize our buyers’ needs. Big Day the Agency initially helped us identify our goals and target audience through a discovery phase. They then studied different market trends to help us determine the brand message, color palette, and font styles that best represented our business.
Once we finalized our branding needs and requirements, Big Day the Agency started working on their graphic deliverables, including our logo and site content. They went through rounds of revisions to ensure that our team approved the final iteration, and we then utilized that logo across our different channels.
What is the team composition?
My main points of contact were Kristie (Partner/Clients & Operations) and Peter (Partner/Creative Director).
How did you come to work with Big Day the Agency?
I worked with Big Day the Agency on a previous project before this engagement. I discovered their company through word of mouth, and I was easily impressed with their field expertise and enthusiasm for our startup business.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement ran from December 2017–January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Having Big Day the Agency on board was a pivotal moment for our company. They over-delivered by bringing in undeniable expertise in branding and design, which led to immensely lucrative results.
Their team empowered us by making our brand creative and convincing, which resulted in positive client feedback and several marketable opportunities — we reached our first million-dollar profit with their help. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with a team of innovative professionals who were willing to take risks to help our business grow.
How did Big Day the Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
We mainly communicated via email. Big Day the Agency was responsive and receptive to our feedback. They valued our ideas, met our timelines, and managed to keep us in the loop at all times. We never had to worry about experiencing delays that could hinder the progress of our project — they were simply on top of everything.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Big Day the Agency encouraged us to take the big leaps that brought us to where we are today. We were confident that their expertise and understanding of our needs would drive high-yielding results — and they did.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We didn’t have any complaints throughout the partnership. I just couldn’t speak highly enough about their work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Whether you have a big or small company, trust Big Day the Agency to deliver your marketing needs within your standards and budget. They’re well worth every client’s investment.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a kebab restaurant.
What challenge were you trying to address with Big Day the Agency?
We needed help with marketing strategy and creative designing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Big Day the Agency helps us clean our brand message, which involves new logo design, colors, fonts, and creating a new website from scratch.
What is the team composition?
I’ve been working with Ahab (Creative Director).
How did you come to work with Big Day the Agency?
We met Ahab, and we liked his style and energy. In terms of work, he showed us samples of what he was envisioning, and we were blown away because it was nothing like what we’ve seen in the market from other companies — we knew he’d be a good fit for us right away.
At first, we started with a small project, and he was outside the box, so we ended up engaging in big projects letting him take control of the creative part of our company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent under $100,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have metrics on their work, but I can say that we’re positioned in a spot that’s utterly day-and-night different from where we were before engaging with them. We’ve also had positive feedback from guests and brand leaders in terms of the creativity of our site and the unique approach it provides — it’s been amazing.
How did Big Day the Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re accessible and always keep us updated on the project. They’re cool and accommodating to our creativity instead of rejecting our energy to make changes and enhancements.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They put a lot of passion into their projects and become critical about making adjustments that ensure the quality of their work — that’s something that I like, and it made me trust them because it shows how much they care.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Video Production for Nutrition Bar Manufacturer
"The creativity, problem-solving, positive vibe, and enthusiasm were most impressive about them."

Please describe your company and your position there.
Start-Up CPG company Perfect Bar (Now Perfect Snacks) makes the freshest nutrition bars ever created. Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, 20+ Organic Superfoods, High in Protein, and handmade in sunny San Diego. I was the creative director at Perfect Bar, helping the company update its branding over three years until our successful acquisition by Mondelēz International. That included updating all of their packaging, branding, and all marketing assets including content creation, photography and video for all digital and social channels.
For what projects/services did your company hire Big Day the Agency, and what were your goals?
We hired Ahab at Big Day agency to help us build our video library of assets. We needed clever and tasty videos that highlighted our cookie dough like texture peanut butter protein bars, the fresh ingredients used to make the bars, and that they are found in the fridge in stores, but are also good on the go. Ahab is so fun to work with, always positive and upbeat and brought enthusiasm to every video. He's a creative and a problem solver. We really leaned into quick stop motion videos that told a story and were used on our website, digital ads, and social media accounts. The quality was superb, crystal clear videos with seamless transitions. They could have easily been used for broadcast or Hulu commercials.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a partner that could help bring our creative ideas to life, who could take our ideas and quickly run with it (start-up life is always extremely busy and fast-paced), we also wanted our videos to look professionally done (crisp and clear, not iphone), as well as a someone we would enjoy working with on a weekly basis. I should also add we didn't want to hire just a creative agency, or alternatively just a video agency, we needed both. Someone that could produce videos, but also get creative and dirty and style products and spell things out like "Fresh From The Fridge" in hundreds of peanuts. Ahab blew us away with his creativity, animated swirls of cinnamon, and Chef's Table schmears of peanut butter and honey. The videos were beautiful and playful.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
I would sketch out a shot list of ideas based on our selling props we needed to get across (some overall brand related, some for new flavors being launched). I would brief Ahab on the shot list. Ahab and team got to work immediately setting up the studio, cameras and lighting. They were quick to grab props if I forgot anything. They would style, get a quick approval if I was around, wrap the shoot then go into production (editing and stitching together the images for stop motion). Ahab also provided us images in various sizes for various channels (amazing!). The stop motion videos were really impressive.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked with Ahab and his PA, and the process was great. We were organized, they were organized, and we got to work immediately. It felt really refreshing to talk to a creative, know that we were all on the same page immediately, and move forward with gusto, and receive assets that were absolutely beautiful.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Perfect Snacks grew exponentially during my time there, no doubt attributed to the beautiful assets that were created by Ahab's team that was used across digital ads, social and websites. The growth of Perfect Snacks leads to a successful acquisition by Mondelēz International.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had weekly meetings in person. Energetic. Inspiring. Once the game plan was agreed upon, Ahab was quick to get to work, produce, edit and return assets to us in a timely manner via email.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The creativity, problem-solving, positive vibe, and enthusiasm were most impressive about them.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No they were rockstars.
