Web Development for Food Exporting Agency
“BeeWeb can build great websites — there’s no doubt about it.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the commercial director for an agency that specializes in the export of Dutch potatoes, French fries, and sweet potatoes.
What challenge were you trying to address with BeeWeb?
I was looking for a quick development agency who could build a website for me.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built the website from scratch on WordPress. Initially, they listened to my ideas and asked me how I wanted the website to appear. I explained to them what I wanted, and they worked on it. The difficult part of the project was translating my ideas into the website.
What is the team composition?
I mainly worked with three people from their team, consisting of the marketing manager, the engineer, and the developer. I also spoke to their general director a few times.
How did you come to work with BeeWeb?
I found them on LinkedIn, and I chose them because they were from Armenia. I was born in Russia and moved to the Netherlands, but my origins were from Armenia. As a result, I was always interested in the country and the developments there. I knew that Armenia’s IT sector was growing fast, and that convinced me to check out Armenian companies to build our website.
Then, I met the marketing manager of BeeWeb, and we had a great discussion about my options. I ultimately decided to build the website with them because of their pricing and work quality.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $400–$600.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from November 2020–January 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
My goal was to build a simple website with good design and nice pictures — BeeWeb did a good job and met these goals.
How did BeeWeb perform from a project management standpoint?
I was satisfied with their ability to meet deadlines. We used LinkedIn and WhatsApp to communicate, and we had weekly meetings to manage the project and set schedules correctly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understood exactly what I needed and gave it to me. For instance, when I couldn’t find the pictograms I wanted online, they developed them for me.
It was difficult at first to translate what I wanted and explain it to people. Sometimes, there were misunderstandings. However, BeeWeb worked hard for me. After some meetings and negotiations, they delivered and met my requirements in terms of pictograms, site design, and layout.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I was in Europe, and they were in Armenia, so there was a time difference between us. At the same time, our languages were different. That being said, the time difference wasn’t something they could control or improve. On top of that, they were great workers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Companies in Europe have their preferences, and they focus on quality. With that in mind, BeeWeb can build great websites — there’s no doubt about it, so work with them.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the owner of a startup, we develop SaaS communication tools.
For what projects/services did your company hire BeeWeb, and what were your goals?
Help us take our MVP and build it into a production grade application.
How did you select BeeWeb and what were the deciding factors?
We shortlisted 5 promising candidates and gave each a piece of the work to code. BeeWeb did the best job by quite a significant margin in terms of code quality, architecture and meeting the spec.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We delivered a series of wireframes and mockups and a server side API, BeWeb had to develop the front end using React and TypeScript.
They did this and provided us a solid application, adhering to two week sprints and regular standups to keep us appraised of the project.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Two. A Senior Developer and a project liaison in case the dev was unavailable and another resource was needed.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We wanted a scalable, reusable front end tech stack and were able to successfully take Bee's work and reuse it in another project. Both products were well received and won praise for their design, stability and responsiveness.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We had three standups a week and two weeks sprints. Our contact at Bee was always available and we would communiate via Email, Skype, Slack, iMessage and of course our own tool. Bee were always flexible and responsive.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Fast, very fast in turning work around and the quality was very good with tests written for much of the code.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None.

Staff Augmentation for Tech Solutions Company
“We always have someone to talk to when needed. If there’s an issue or problem, they resolve it immediately.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Cosmic Holdings. We provide technology development and implementation solutions for startups, especially those in the brick and mortar industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with BeeWeb?
Our company came to a point where we were short of hands while simultaneously wanting to expand faster. We hired BeeWeb to be our extra hands, or backup team, in that operation. They are our outsourcing solution.
What was the scope of their involvement?
BeeWeb provides staff augmentation for our development team. Ever since that initial operation, we’ve become fairly dependent on them and their services. Also, we’ve never had to expand again. Their efforts allow us to deliver to our customers with the scale they need for their web application development.
The BeeWeb team helps us provide solutions for organizations in the investment and finance industries, this includes web app development and some WordPress development. These projects are very large-scaled, extended financial system applications. We use Node.js, MongoDB, and MySQL for the backend; and Angular.js, React.js, and Vue.js on the frontend. We build everything 100% from scratch.
What is the team composition?
Right now, we have a team of six developers. Over the years, we’ve had around 10 different developers at any given time.
How did you come to work with BeeWeb?
My co-partner had previously worked with BeeWeb at a former company. He recommended their team, and we started working with them immediately.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership began around July 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The engagement has been decent. Our two-year partnership with them speaks a lot to the happiness and satisfaction we have with their services.
How did BeeWeb perform from a project management standpoint?
Every morning, we hold a tactical meeting with the development team. Also, we hold biweekly meetings with the team leaders at the management level. During these, we focus on strategizing and brainstorming how we should allocate our resources.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We really like the fact that they have a boutique approach; it’s not very industrial or commercial. What’s more, we always have someone to talk to when needed. If there’s an issue or problem, they resolve it immediately. My team doesn’t have to go through a large process with the account and sales management. BeeWeb is open-minded and flexible.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There is a language barrier because not all their team members can speak English. Sometimes, in order to communicate with a developer, we must have one of their team members translate. This process isn’t 100% efficient, but it’s not too big of a deal either.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Try to keep up and in-tune with their work by holding daily or weekly meetings. That'd be enough because they’re independent and don’t need micromanagement. This is vital for all remote work; you must know what they’re doing and that they’re focused.

Mobile App Dev for Sports Analytics Company
"Beeweb's solid comradeship regardless of position or background was amazing."

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of a sports analytics company.
For what projects/services did your company hire BeeWeb, and what were your goals?
We needed a mobile app to collect match data as efficiently and user-friendly as possible. Our main goal was to allow multiple users to collect match data simultaneously across platforms.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We spoke to a couple of suitable companies we thought could implement our project. After an initial conversation with the CTO it was clear to us that their understanding of the project aligned with ours very well.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Initially we on-boarded their team to our processes and schedules. Sharing wireframes and prototypes we had created prior our engagements helped a great deal. The front end was done in JS and the back end in node.js. Since we plan to offer our app on android and iOS, we chose to build our app using react native framework. Interesting features include uploading of media and the provision of a real-time countdown that is fixed to game time.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had up to five developers working on our project.
- 3 concurrently at one point
- one project manager throughout
- CTO was leading the project on their side
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since we are rolling out our app to selected users and contacts, they helped us immensely in preparing an appropriate plan.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
All devs and project managers, as well as the CTO were readily available whenever an issue arose. While not all of the issues could have been addressed immediately, sufficient provisions were made to mitigate any risks of delays. Communication was always spot on. Very concise and positive.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Beeweb's solid comradeship regardless of position or background was amazing.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Our experience with Beeweb was very positive. Naturally there is always room for improvement in all departments in software development. Status reports could always arrive sooner, builds could be finalised earlier and so on. This project in particular did not have any major setbacks for which we would suggest improvements.

Stakeholders were happy with BeeWeb’s output, which met the company’s requirements of simple yet visually appealing designs. The team also met deadlines and worked hard to implement the client’s goals. Overall, the engagement was a success, and the export agency was left impressed with their work.
