Walmart Asia Realty – a subsidiary of the world's largest retailer Walmart, number 1 company in the Fortune 500 for the past 6 years – asked Base Creative to create a comprehensive research, strategy, naming, branding and implementation program for its new shopping mall brand in China. With our strong shopping mall insights based on extensive experience, combined with in-depth understanding of the Chinese mindset, Base Creative was a natural partner for this project.
Botanic fiber producer Lenzing, well established as an innovator and sustainability leader in the cellulosic fiber industry, saw strong consumer orientation as the key to unlocking potential future growth. With a winning product lineup and a powerful sustainability message able to resonate with today’s environmentally conscious consumers, Lenzing sought to evolve from a B2B business strategy to “B2Me”. This would mean pursuing a B2B2C approach in order to gain end customer recognition – in Lenzing’s words, “looking beyond the fiber to the lifestyle it unlocks”. At the same time Lenzing wanted to rationalize their diffuse brand architecture and better protect their valuable trademarks.
With an average of 13 kg of mixed plastic waste making up every standard pallet, that’s 13 kg of waste removed from landfills, or worse, from the ocean, where ever-increasing plastic pollution is now recognised as a major threat to the marine ecosystem on which all life depends. In the face of such alarm signals, Re>Pal has developed a revolutionary reusable pallet made from recycled waste plastic at a lower lifetime cost than wood, more durable, and lighter in weight. It is uniquely sustainable, innovative and functional, in fact superior in every respect to wooden pallets – has the potential to impact the planet more than any other project we’ve worked on. Base Creative was a natural choice to help Re>Pal bring this transformative product to market, owing to our considerable experience working on sustainability-focused projects, and we went all-in to deliver success.
Global coffee brand Nespresso is a story rooted in the company’s heritage of the highest quality coffees, innovative stylish machines and personalized services. In launching its stores in Hong Kong, the aspirational brand has commissioned Base Creative to design its brand communication materials for better traction and awareness in the market.
Base Creative organised a full programme of entertainment for Deloitte's National Partners Conference in Guangzhou, China. We complemented the massive three-day event with selected sound and visual effects and striking set designs, including a specially designed timeline celebrating the firm's remarkable 99-year history in China.
Hermès commissioned Base Creative to design and produce the magnificent "Fierce and Fragile" exhibition.
