We thought our website had become outdated and didn't reflect our culture. Since we didn't have in-house developers to invest in a new website, we have collaborated with Babel. The main reason for this change is to show our mindset and services in a more clear and modern way. Also, we hope to increase our traffic substantially.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives first. The Babel team decided to use unorthodox design language which is one of the latest trends After this meetings, the team delivered the home page interface and updated it in regard to our brief. Then, we see all our pages as a draft. They designed our website with low impact option.

By this option, our website has a much lower carbon footprint than a regular one. Also with dark mode option, we reduce its energy consumption. Moreover, it has grayscale and audio narration to evaluate physical barriers such as vision loss and color blindness.

A project manager and a brand manager were our main points of contact throughout the process. There were all 8 full-stack developers and designers behind the scenes.

We recently launched our website and couldn't find enough time to collect data about traffic but the feedbacks from our network made us really happy. Our page speed is increased dramatically. And users have a better understanding of our mindset and services.

We had weekly stand-up with the project manager and brand manager who communicated with the rest of the team. We used WhatsApp and mail to coordinate. They work with our team very effectively, we could reach them easily and answered our every question sincerely. If there were any delays, they let us know ahead of time .

They gave us a professional website that is aligned with our mindset and sustainability approach. We were really impressed by the vision of the team. They widened our minds with their counsel.

By means of easy to use panel design, we can update our content and visuals with ease. It was very important for us because we currently don't have an in-house marketing team.

Generally, we are very happy to collaborate with Babel. They were easy to reach, we got all answers quickly for every problem and ultimately we are very satisfied with our new design and its impact. We strongly recommend their work.

I’m the founder of UCA Logistics LLC, a U.S.-based service company that provides service to Amazon sellers. We deliver the sellers’ stuff to Amazon, label their products, and provide inspections. We have a warehouse and are making a store for the products of the Amazon sellers. They give us their orders and we sell them to their customers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Babel Agency?

I needed someone to develop my website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the start of the project, they designed and developed my website from scratch. I asked them to make it user-friendly because I don’t want to confuse my customers when they try to find something. They helped with the color scheme and designed the logo — they even gave me three different choices to choose from.

Moreover, I gave them subjects for the content of the website. They asked a lot of questions and wrote a number of sample content to choose from — we didn’t need too much detail, we just wanted enough to push customers to get in contact with us.

Apart from that, they also provided us with photos and a video. They edited the video and helped with the repository as well. They told me if we prepared a small video for the website, it would be very understandable for our customers, so we did.

In addition, they opened Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts for me. We didn’t apply all the accounts to my website, and they offered to manage them — I said no, for now, as I don’t have enough money to manage any social media channel, and I have enough customers.

They also offered cybersecurity, but I passed on it for now because I don’t have any payment options on my site. They continue to provide service for the server as part of the price.

I’m in contact with an accounting person and someone on the development side. I believe there are four people working with us, but I don’t remember their titles. The project manager is my main point of contact.

Their project management is good. When I call them, they always answer me and if I have any questions, they don’t care if I call them late at night or on the weekend. We used Zoom about three times, but we typically communicate through email and phone if I need something urgent.

The guidelines they developed were in the form of a book that allowed me to give to investors, staff, marketers, print media producers, and digital media teams.

They also created the icon, font files, and all the design content that could be used on the web and used on social media, along with the color scheme. They also designed printed collateral such as business cards, letterheads, files, notepads, notebooks, based on the brand they brought together. They forwarded the working files for our indoor and outdoor signs to my architectural team.

It was a creative process and everything came together beautifully in our branding project. Each piece is built on the previous one, so their work on creative design and visual identity is well linked to what we do around brand strategy. They did an excellent job and I recommend them not just for visual work, but for the entire end-to-end branding process. The best measure of the quality of their work is that our entire team and business partners are extremely excited about the new brand and visual identity.

Project management. I think they are really strong in this regard. They were communicative and organized and always kept us up to date. We were meeting once a week. It was a good transition in each work phase and ensured that all outputs agreed with requests as per our expectations.

So I was really happy that Babel could allow me to be so involved within the design process. I wanted something so different, so I liked the open-minded, flexible approach. I wanted a unique website, not a template.

If you're looking for a new website, I feel like Babel can open your eyes to a new way of thinking. The limits are endless. Location really isn't an issue with Vertu being in İstanbul and Babel being in Bursa. Somebody is always at the end of an email of phone call.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Babel are a brilliant team of people and have been fantastic to work with - having our website designed and built by the same people who do our UX development has meant our new website is robust and really helps us to compete in the market. I would highly recommend Babel to anyone.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Maybe they can define a discount in price due to our continuity in our next project work. :)
