Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the manager of business development at a roofing and restoration company. We do commercial and residential roofing along with water mitigation and exterior remodeling.
What challenge were you trying to address with B Meyer Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC?
We weren’t keeping accurate records and didn’t know our profit loss. As a result, we engaged B Meyer to let us know where we stand.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We want the B Meyer team to deliver all of our financial records to our CPA in a timely manner every quarter to file our taxes. Additionally, it will also allow us to give our employee statements and contractor statements together at the end of each year for their taxes.
The team also provides company snapshots of financial for profit and loss, as well as general bookkeeping. Overall, they help us know where our money is being spent and allocated.

In total, we’ve spent $3,750, and we pay them $250 per month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them for 15 months, and our ongoing partnership began in January 2000.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve gone from spending 15–20 hours a month doing all the work they do, to spending 20 minutes reviewing the reports they send over. Overall, their work has given me a lot more of my time back, and I’ve been able to look at the company snapshot a lot faster to know how healthy our financials are.

Anytime they need something, they either call or email. Then, when I call or email B Meyer, they give me a very fast response.

Their timing and flexibility are impressive. B Meyer has the ability to get things done, and we can email them at any time of the day. Above all, I don’t have to worry about following up.

No, there’s nothing that I can think of when it comes to the team’s areas for improvement.

Be ready to be upfront and honest with B Meyer. Give them all the information they need, and let them do what they need to do.
