Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the director of marketing operations for a business process management platform. I’m heavily involved in all our marketing initiatives.
What challenge were you trying to address with SmartSearch?
We wanted a team to help with our SEO and PPC campaigns.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They optimize the content on our site for proper keywords. They have a hand in our YouTube videos and any other deliverables that improve our positioning and rankings. They create content for us and provide marketing support and suggestions. They’re very hands-on and we speak frequently.

We have one team member who works on our blog and a number of individuals on the PPC side

I’ve reviewed our past SEO and see a significant jump in organic traffic since they began with us. We like the optimizations and are starting into the next levels of organic hits and referrals. We know each other well now and have a good feel for the long-term potential. We’re really pleased with their results so far.
How did SmartSearch perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re friendly and collaborative and we’ve had a really positive experience with the whole team. They understand our aesthetic and are open to our opinions. The bulk of our communication is via email and we speak on the phone when necessary. We have monthly meetings on GoToMeeting where we run assessments, go over analytics, and give updates.
